Giannis Antetokounmpo still weighing future with Milwaukee Bucks amid roster questions and trade moves
Analyst Shams Charania recently opened up about Greek footballer and NBA giant,
Giannis Antetokounmpo
and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks. Given his uncertain future with the team, many believed it would be the basketball player's summer.
Meanwhile, the analysts continued by saying that the legend is still reportedly considering the Milwaukee Bucks' squad and has not yet made up his mind about staying or leaving the team.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
remains undecided about his future with the Milwaukee Bucks despite roster changes
In a recent interview, while talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo and his future with the Milwaukee Bucks,
Shams Charania
said:
'What is the latest on his future with the Milwaukee Bucks? So Pete, I'm looking at the date. We're standing here. It's August 4th, right? Sources tell me there's still nothing set in stone about whether Antetokounmpo will stay in Milwaukee or whether he will be leaving…'
Further talking about the Greek
NBA
player, he continued:
'I reported it in mid-May that he's evaluating whether his best fit is in Milwaukee or is it elsewhere.. There's been some very real conversations over the last week or so. The constant question that Giannis has, though, is Can I win a championship with this roster? Is this roster going to be won for this upcoming year and 2026-27? He wants to win a second championship…'
Shams Charania then went on:
'There are multiple teams waiting in the wings, potentially… He has not asked that question in late June or early July before free agency. This is a very tough decision for him, though. This is 12 years he's spent there. There's a lot of equity there…'
He finally concluded:
'This type of move isn't going to be easy because this is a Milwaukee Bucks organization… They wanted to show Giannis we're doing everything in our power to keep you here. But Giannis ended as the ultimate decider whether he feels this roster is good enough…'

Milwaukee Bucks
made every effort to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo from leaving, he will ultimately make his own career decisions.
\Meanwhile, the interview came after the team decided to extend
Damian Lillard
's salary for the next five years, then waive him in order to free up cap space and acquire Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers. Now it is yet to see what the Greek icon decides.

He was a guest of 360 with Speedy, a talk show organized by Speedy Morman and made by Complex. Stephen Curry is 36 years old now and has played his entire NBA career with the Golden State Warriors. During the talk, Speedy asked him, 'Your net worth is $240 million. Is that true?' Curry smiled and replied, 'I don't know. I don't care. I don't worry about that stuff. Someone else handles that for me.' His answer was simple but meaningful. Even though Curry signed a huge $62.6 million one-year deal in August 2024, he made it clear - money isn't his main goal. He said he's more focused on building something meaningful, not just chasing more money. Stephen Curry shares honest thoughts on legacy, family, and faith in 2025 Later in the interview, Stephen Curry talked about Legacy. The interview took place in California, just a few weeks after the Golden State Warriors lost in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. They had beaten the Houston Rockets but lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Although the season is over, Curry's strong performance received praise. He didn't talk much about wins or losses. Instead, he spoke from the heart. He said, 'Legacy is self-serving. You want to be proud of what you did. We've been given so much, and we want to use it well.' For Stephen, it's not just about fame or money. He wants to use what he has for good. Even with all the wealth talk, he kept the focus on faith, family, and leaving something meaningful behind.
