Battlefield 6 Open Beta likely to drop in early August; players join the hype with mixed emotions: ‘Can't wait'
According to the Game Fragger, an official post has been issued from the Battlefield X (formerly called Twitter) account, suggesting that the upcoming open beta will include both the traditional class-locked weapons and the controversial open weapon system will be introduced in the upcoming title.
Moreover, this hybrid model looks like EA's response to long-running community debates over the game's core identity and whether the franchise should go back to its original expertise or forge ahead with modern trials.
When is the Battlefield 6 open beta releasing? (Expected Date)
According to Game Rant, the Open Beta era of Battlefield 6's playtesting is expected to start around early August. Along with the upcoming title, the release is also seeing a huge amount of potential praise and criticism.
The exact date hasn't been confirmed yet, but fans have uncovered the API data suggesting the Battlefield 6 open beta could begin as soon as August 4th. The date lines up with earlier EA betas, which usually used to last between 3 and 10 days and allow for preloads that were roughly around 24 hours ahead of the launch.
Potential leak date reveals the game can arrive in a week
As per the Game Fragger report, apart from the expected date, a separate leak has also pointed to a July 29 worldwide reveal and official announcement, which is likely going to be EA's upcoming three-day event.
This event could also finally confirm the name Battlefield 6 that was leaked through a promotional package. On the other hand, one of the most polarising changes in the recent Battlefield titles has been the shift towards the open weapon systems, allowing any class to use any weapon.
Well, here's a list of expected release dates based on the past entries:
An open beta duration of 3-10 days
Optional pre-load a day early.
A mix of maps, vehicles, and limited-time playlists
Early sign-ups once EA drops the full reveal
Open Weapons vs Closed WeaponsWhy not both?Starting at Open Beta players can choose official playlists with Signature Weapons locked to class, or not.More to come.
Players can't keep reactions and memes around Battlefield 6
Players have been pushed back hard, demanding a return to the series' classic formula where weapon loadouts were tied to particular roles such as Assault, Support, or Recon.
Notably, the news has left fans and netizens talking about it. One X (formerly called Twitter) wrote, "I still remember every minute of the beta. Can't wait."
While another added, "Wdym open beta is in early August we only know July 29-31 being the reveal."
"Bro you gotta link your source and if it's not official you're obligated to say "rumored". So where's the source?," one said.

Sending you back tons of love. ❤️ Also, hugs to the fans who have been spreading a word not to take the troll route. Someday, I'll narrate to you how it all unfolded and we'll have a good laugh about it!🤗" For the unversed, Divyanka appeared on Laughter Chefs 2 recently, where she mistook Elvish for Samarth Jurel during introductions on stage. The moment saw her shaking hands with Elvish and saying, 'Hi Samarth," which left Aly Goni, Krushna Abhishek, and others laughing. Realising her mistake, Divyanka immediately apologised and even joked that the part should be edited out to avoid trolling by Elvish's fans. Unfortunately, her prediction came true. After the episode was aired, Elvish's fans expressed disappointment and slammed the actress. Therefore, on Tuesday, Divyanka commented under one of her posts, calling out the hate, while also thanking genuine fans. 'I want to thank genuine Elvish fans for being nice. True fans, first keep their idol's respect in mind. Double thanks to the trollers for increasing my engagement (sic)," she wrote. 'My inner systumm automatically bounces back your foul language to you and your family. Karma! Those being nice shall always be blessed…says my core divinity! (sic)," the actress added. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Osbourne's death comes just weeks after the band played their farewell gig in his home city of Birmingham. Osbourne's family broke the news of X (formerly Twitter), 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Ozzy Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2019, was known for energetic and controversial live shows - while many fans also got to know him through reality TV show The Osbournes It's impossible to put into words what Ozzy Osbourne has meant to Metallica. Hero, icon, pioneer, inspiration, mentor, and, most of all, friend are a few that come to mind. Ozzy and Sharon believed in us and transformed our lives and careers. He taught us how to play in the big leagues while at the same time being warm, welcoming, engaging, and all around brilliant. We are heartbroken and devastated by this loss and send our love and condolences to Sharon and their family, bandmates, and his very large circle of friends. He left an incredible legacy and will be sorely missed. The Instagram account for AC/DC posted a tribute to Ozzy on social media saying, "So sad! A great loss to all that loved him," the post says. Thanks for the ride Ozzy, love from the other Brummies.' UB40's Ali Campbell, who was also born in Birmingham, called him the 'undisputed king of heavy Metal' before adding: 'You didn't just shape a culture, you defined it. You led from the front and never looked back.' Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who was the musical director for Osbourne's all-star farewell concert, Back to the Beginning, wrote on Instagram: 'Good bless you Ozzy.' 'We were with him in Birmingham just over a week ago talking about how incredible Back to the Beginning was. Ozzy was in a great mood, laughing and cracking us up.' 'You took us on your adventure – an adventure that started it all.' Former professional boxer Frank Bruno called him 'a character a funny man and a legend who we will not see the likes of ever again' while Aquaman star Jason Momoa shared a picture of himself with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, calling himself 'grateful' to have met them.
