Disney fans can't wait to get their hands on the 'adorable' £13 merchandise that's gone viral
Disney fans are rushing to Primark after a shopper highlighted the retailer's "adorable" Cinderella-themed pyjamas. Priced at £13, the "cute" sleep set has wowed fans of the classic film. The design features Jaq and Gus, who movie fans will recognise as two of Cinderella's closest companions.
Primark's pyjamas went viral thanks to a TikTok video shared by blogger @maisieemousee. Her caption said: "The Cinderella girlies are screaming rn!!! £13 !?!!! Okay Primark, I'm obsessed." The video gained over 290,000 times, attracting thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, reports the Mirror.

One excited viewer commented: "OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG I LOVE THEM I NEED THEM!" while a second praised: "OHMYGOSH I NEED IT!!" and a third agreed: "OH MY GOODNESS ITS NOT A WANT ITS A NEED."

Another commenter gushed: "ARE YOU KIDDINGGG," while a different response read: "OH MY GOSHHHHHH." Maisie said: "I love them so much." Meanwhile, a social media user praised: "Oh my goodness!
"I'm so pleased Primark has got onto the Cinderella hype," and Maisie said: "Me too! She's my no.1" Someone else thought: "Yea we need the Disney princesses now I'm tired of Stitch." A different fan said: "At least it's something other than Stitch for a change!"
Elsewhere, shoppers said they'd love the PJs for special occasions. One shopper commented: "Omggg stop. I need these for my Disney trip in November." Another added: "I'm going to go find these today as my 40th birthday eve pjs. Wish me luck on finding them."
Others shared that they'd be "running" to find the PJs featuring their favourite characters. For instance, a reply read: "Oh my goodness 2 of my faves!" Similarly, a Cinderella fan said: "I'm OBSESSED with the Gus and Jaq representation rn."
Another commented: "Alright hun ….You've convinced me … off to Primark tomorrow." A different response read: "Omg I shall be running for these," and a fan praised: "NOOOOOOO MY FAVE CHARACTER." Maisie replied: "Me too!! My fave sidekicks ever. So cute."

Maisie said the pyjamas are "so comfy," praising the fit when a commenter criticised Primark's sizing. The viewer said: "I'd love these but Primark only does cropped or boxy pj tops now. I can't stand my belly exposed everytime I lift my arms up or move," and she replied: "Yeah I 100% agree!! But I do think these ones are slightly on the longer side compared to most of them and I'm 5'9!"
However, the response wasn't the only criticism shared by viewers. Someone questioned: "Why don't they do these for the kids though?" Another wrote: "Nooo why did it have to be long pj bottoms? It should be shorts."
While the pyjamas do not appear to be available on Primark's website, the retailer offers a selection of Disney sleepwear online. For example, there's a Disney's Minnie Mouse Short Pyjama Set for £17, a Disney's The Lion King Simba Pyjama Set for £9, and a Disney Toy Story Short Pyjama Set for £17. There's also a selection of Disney-themed pyjamas for children, ideal for families looking for themed PJs.

BBC shares major update on Doctor Who future amid hiatus

Doctor Who will return with or without the extra funding from Disney, the BBC has now confirmed whilst the series is on hiatus following the departure of Ncuti Gatwa Doctor Who will return with or without the extra funding from Disney, BBC bosses confirmed yesterday. ‌ The sci-fi show is currently on a hiatus following the end of the two-year deal with Disney, which culminated with the departure of Ncuti Gatwa in the title role. ‌ Crushing rumours that the show would not return if Disney's huge cash injection did not return, the BBC's new head of content Kate Phillips said: "Rest assured Doctor Who is going nowhere. Disney has been a great partnership and it continues with The War Between The Land And The Sea next year." ‌ Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival Kate, who is just two months into her job, stressed: 'With or without Disney, Doctor Who will still be on the BBC." The uncertainty around the series has been caused by Disney's continuing reluctance to commit to either renewing its funding deal with the BBC - or pull out. ‌ But show creator Russell T Davies has indicated he's already working on scripts for the next series, and also for another one after that. Later in the session, the BBC's drama controller Lindsay Salt said she had 'no update' in terms of timings " on Doctor Who but said that information would be made public as soon as it was possible. Agreeing with Kate, she said the BBC commitment to Doctor Who as one of its biggest brands was water-tight, adding that the show was "hugely important to us"." ‌ Now Doctor Who fans have the spin-off show, The War Between the Land and the Sea, which expected to start around Christmas. Disney reportedly injected around £100million into Doctor Who, which gave a a significant boost to the show's production budget, allowing for CGI use of dinosaurs and other stunts. ‌ There is still a chance that the deal will be renewed, or that BBC Studios will find another partner to join forces with. In the session about the BBC, Kate also said the corporation 'acted fast' after misconduct allegations against former MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace. And she urged anyone who felt they had grievances to air against top talent to come forward, stressing that they would be taken seriously. 'No one is irreplaceable,' she said. On MasterChef, she said she'd acted on the information she'd had in 2019. 'So there were two complaints. I dealt with them. I acted on them fast. I think I acted responsibly. I left him in no doubt of the expected behaviour that we expect at the BBC, if you like. I stand by the actions I took at the time with the knowledge that I had. Other allegations didn't come to us until much later, sort of at the end of 2023, and at that point we did act, and we acted fast.' Wallace was dropped from the series after multiple claims of inappropriate language and behaviour against him were upheld. Later his co-host John Torode was also dismissed after a complaint over his 'racist language' was upheld.

Justin Bieber impersonator 'banned from Vegas nightclub' after tricking DJ into performing

A DJ in Las Vegas was tricked into letting a Justin Bieber impersonator perform Sorry live after being duped into thinking he was the Canadian hitmaker A Justin Bieber impersonator has been banned from a Las Vegas hotel after successfully convincing an entire nightclub that he was the Canadian pop star. ‌ The incident took place on Saturday, August 16, at XS Nightclub, where 29-year-old Frenchman Dylan Desclos posed as Bieber. Reports state that Desclos not only gained access to VIP areas but also ran up a $10,000 bar bill before joining DJ Gryffin on stage for a surprise performance. ‌ At the time, many believed they were witnessing Bieber's return to live music following the release of his seventh studio album Swag. The lead single Daisies has been a Top 10 hit in the UK, which added credibility to the idea that the star was making a promotional appearance. ‌ DJ Gryffin, whose real name is Daniel Griffith, later shared his perspective of the incident on TikTok. The 37-year-old admitted that the dark setting and loud music made it difficult to realise the person who approached him was not actually Bieber. Gryffin wrote: "So his 'team' said he wanted to perform 'Sorry'… little did I know I was about to be sorry." The clip, which has since gone viral, shows the DJ smiling after the performance and telling the crowd: "That was insane. That was actually insane." ‌ Shortly afterwards, a friend informed him that the man he had invited on stage was not Justin Bieber. Gryffin appeared visibly shocked, responding: "There's no way." In a follow-up, the DJ admitted he briefly questioned the man's appearance, saying: "I literally thought like, 'damn, he's put on a lot of weight since the album dropped!'" The man who went up on stage was later identified as Dylan Desclos, a French national who has gained attention online for his repeated impersonations of Bieber. ‌ He is known to some as Bustin Jieber, and has staged mock tours, shared viral clips from public transport, and once even met Hailey Bieber, who admitted she was unsettled by his resemblance to her husband. After his Las Vegas stunt XS Nightclub confirmed that Desclos had been banned from the venue. Social media users have been debating over whether his actions constituted identity theft or if the incident was simply an elaborate prank. One viewer wrote: "It's alarming how easily he was able to prank everyone. The fact that a random guy made it to the stage is impressive. " ‌ Meanwhile, another protested: "I'm so lost on this is this not illegal?? I'm pretty sure this is a form of like fraud or identity theft??" The incident comes after the real Justin Bieber sparked concern from fans when he posted a series of near-nude photos of himself in see-through Calvin Klein boxers after a dip in a lake. Some people questioned his online behaviour, with one commenting: "Hailey come get your husband," while another wrote: "What is he doing? He is a married father acting like a teenager on a camping trip with his high school friends."

Disney desperate to win back Gen Z men following 'woke' flops like Snow White

Disney is reportedly desperate to win back young male viewers. According to Variety, 'leadership at Walt Disney Studios' are pressuring Hollywood creatives to find new movies and 'original concepts' that will appeal to Gen Z men aged between 13-28. The push comes as superhero movies from the Disney-owned Marvel have seen a huge decline in recent years. Other male-skewing fare from Disney, like 2023's Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, flopped at the box office. Meanwhile rival studio Warner Bros. has recently produced a number of box office hits for young men, including Superman and A Minecraft Movie, which has grossed close to a billion dollars. Disney suffered a huge blow this year after the critical and commercial failure of Snow White. The big budget fairytale, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, was savaged by critics. In addition, the film faced severe backlash for its 'woke' changes, and leading lady Zegler's brazen comments about the original animated film is based off of while promoting the film. While Snow White ignited a plethora of controversies earlier this year, one major criticism from fans was how filmmakers transformed the dwarves into computer-generated 'magical creatures.' The decision angered actors with dwarfism, who blasted Disney's reliance on CGI as 'absurd' and 'discriminating.' The remake of the classic 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs film failed to land rave reviews from both fans and movie critics alike. Daily Mail's Brian Viner gave Snow White two out of five stars, calling it a 'painfully muddle-headed affair' and 'pallid reimagining,' but admitted Zegler 'plainly has oodles of talent.' 'Disney's contorted attempts not to offend anyone have somehow managed to offend everyone,' Viner noted. Meanwhile, The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw gave Snow White one out of five stars and called it a 'pointless' and 'exhaustingly awful reboot' with 'tiresome pseudo-progressive additions that tie the whole thing in knots.' 'Where other movies are playfully reimagining the backstories of famous villains, this one plays it straight, but with carefully curated revisionist tweaks,' Bradshaw wrote. 'Those otherwise estimable performers Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot are now forced to go through the motions, and they give the dullest performances of their lives.' Despite Snow White's failure, Disney has still produced a number of blockbuster hits over the last year. Lilo & Stitch crossed the billion-dollar mark at the box office, as did Moana 2. They're also predicted to bank more billion-dollar hits later this year with Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire and Ash. Disney is also enjoying a moderate hit with his new Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday. The movie, led by Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, has already grossed double its budget at the box office.
