Channel Seven's Morning Show hijacked by surprise guest live on air

Daily Mail05-06-2025
Channel Seven 's Morning Show was thrown into chaos on Thursday after a surprise guest completely stole the spotlight.
The Bachelor star Anna Heinrich, 38, appeared on the program for a sweet segment about motherhood - but it was her 15-month-old daughter Ruby who delivered all the drama.
As Anna chatted to co-hosts Sally Bowrey and Dr Chris Brown about family life, the toddler hilariously interrupted by crawling over and grabbing at Sally's high heels.
'She's really good! I can see your toes are coming out…' Anna laughed, before joking to Ruby: 'You want to keep going? Go for it!'
But Ruby wasn't done there - she then yelped loudly on set and swiped Sally's run sheet, playing with the script as cameras rolled.

Fortunately, the mischief didn't last long, with the youngster eventually curling up beside her mum on the couch.
'The best years ... the most exhausting years!' Sally quipped as the adorable chaos came to an end.
Last May, Anna revealed she has no plans for a third child after experiencing some pregnancy challenges with Ruby.
She welcomed her second child with husband Tim Robards in March 2024, but was rushed to emergency surgery when she faced sudden and severe postpartum bleeding.
The Intu Wellness founder told Daily Mail Australia she 'appreciates life more' since the harrowing experience, and has no plans to have a third child in the future.
'I'm lucky to have always wanted two children. So I definitely don't want any more children. I'm really done at two, but I definitely think it would scare people,' she said.
'Even when I was speaking with my obstetrician he was like, "Okay, probably no more children for you, Anna."'
'It was quite traumatic at the time, but at the same time it puts life in perspective,' she continued.
'It puts your family and everything in perspective and how lucky you are to be here and have two amazing kids and a partner. I appreciate life more coming out of that.'
She went on to say the postpartum complications, which left husband Tim fearing for Anna's life, are 'becoming a distant memory'.
'You've got so many other things to focus on... I'll always remember it, but I'm thankfully here to tell the story,' she said.
Tim revealed just last week he 'could see the fear in the doctor's eyes that she had been through a lot, it was pretty touch and go'.
'That's when it hit home, it is all pretty safe these days and to think I could have been a single dad with two girls hits home and makes you really appreciate having each other,' the chiropractor told the Daily Telegraph.
Anna said she's also 'impressed' with how well Tim, who she met and fell in love with on the first season of The Bachelor in 2013, has taken to fatherhood yet again.
The pair met on first season of The Bachelor Australia and are considered one of the most successful couples to come out of the series.
They tied the knot in June 2018 during an intimate ceremony at the Masseria Potenti hotel in Puglia in south Italy.
The lovebirds welcomed their first child, daughter Elle , on November 12, 2020, and their second child, daughter Ruby , in the first week of March, 2024.

Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia reveals the brutal way he found out he had lost his job after a decade on the show: 'I didn't even get a direct call'

Jonathan LaPaglia shocked fans in June when he confirmed he had been axed from Australian Survivor. The TV personality, who has hosted the Channel Ten series for nearly a decade, was met with a rally of support after he revealed he would be fronting the show for the last time in the Australia V The World series, which will hit screens later this year. Now, the 55-year-old has detailed the brutal way he found out he had lost his job. 'The speculation online was that I received an email. But no, it was a call to my manager in Australia,' he told this week's Stellar. 'I didn't get a direct call, which, I'll be honest with you, was disappointing. 'After 10 years of helming their flagship show, it would have been nice to get a direct call from the people at the top, but I didn't.' Earlier this month, it was revealed that production was already underway for the 2026 season, with David Genat taking over as the show's new host. David was recently spotted arriving overseas to begin filming the new season, but insiders have confirmed 'behind the scenes' dust is far from settling. Jonathan had helmed the hit reality franchise for nearly ten years before being unceremoniously axed. And insiders say the show's shocking new theme, 'Revenge and Redemption,' is a thinly veiled swipe at his unexpected exit. 'Jonathan is gutted,' a friend of the ousted host told Daily Mail Australia. 'This theme feels personal. Everyone in the Survivor community can see it for what it is.' Producers replaced the charismatic TV host with David, a former contestant whose unexpected promotion has sparked backlash among fans and confusion on set. 'It's a cost-cutting move, plain and simple,' a source close to production revealed. 'But replacing a seasoned host with a player who's barely earned his stripes? It's baffling.' The series, which promises to spotlight castaways who've been 'burned, betrayed or blindsided', is filled with drama both on and off the screens, according to insiders. 'Jonathan is furious,' one producer confessed. 'He's been calling past players privately. Not just to say goodbye but to vent. He was blindsided and he's not hiding it.'

Former F1 star Daniel Ricciardo hospitalised after dirt bike accident in Queensland

Former F1 star has reportedly been taken to hospital after a dirt bike accident in north Queensland. The eight-time grand prix winner was riding through Daintree National Forest when he suffered a collarbone injury, reports Planet F1. 'While details are scant at present, Ricciardo is understood to have been in good spirits while being treated for his injury,' the report said. Ricciardo was let go by Racing Bulls after the 2024 Singapore GP, with Red Bull's advisor Helmut Marko explaining that the Aussie was no longer showing the 'killer instinct' he had displayed earlier in his racing career. The 36-year-old is now enjoying time away from the sport and has revealed that he doesn't like to be reminded of his many racing achievements while at home. 'It's funny, I don't really like having my racing stuff in my house,' Ricciardo told Mel McLaughlin at Ray White's Connect Conference on Monday. 'If my parents have some of me in their house, that's fine. 'I'm still quite shy with some of the achievements.' The beloved Aussie also joked about why he was now sporting a thick beard. 'Well, I haven't been shaving my face,' he said. 'The beard is my comfort right now. 'I had a fallout with my barber and then I lost my razor. It's been a tough six months.' Ricciardo bid farewell to what he described as a 'wild and wonderful' career, having become one of the most popular drivers in the sport. But like many athletes, stepping away from the fast-paced, rock and roll lifestyle that is professional sport, Ricciardo explained he struggled to adjust to life away from the glitz and glamour of Formula One. 'I've lived this crazy, high-speed life for so long, and I just sat into a little bit of stillness,' Ricciardo explained. 'I suddenly wasn't always surrounded by a ton of people giving their opinions and thoughts.' After the rigours of being a professional racing driver had encompassed his life for so long, Ricciardo explained he was now doing a bit of soul searching in order to understand who he truly was, while also admitting he was learning to become more magnanimous. 'I've had a lot of time, I've done some hiking. I was in Alaska a few weeks ago and didn't get mauled by a grizzly which was a bonus. 'I've been trying to figure out who I am other than this race car driver. 'I've come to appreciate the little things more and the meaning of the importance of family and friends. 'I've always been driven, and that sometimes leads you to being selfish, so I'm trying to learn to be a bit more selfless and become a better listener.'

Taylor Swift reveals that steamy Nicole Kidman scene is inspiration for track from new album The Life of a Showgirl

When Taylor Swift announced her new album The Life Of A Showgirl last week she said the 12 tracks were inspired by the 'joyful, wild, dramatic' times in her life. Now The Mail on Sunday can reveal one song in particular was influenced by some very raunchy scenes involving Nicole Kidman. The Australian actress starred in the racy thriller Babygirl last year as a high-powered CEO seduced by a younger colleague played by Harris Dickinson, 29. But it was one erotic scene that caught Ms Swift's attention as Mr Dickinson lap-danced half-naked for Ms Kidman, 58, to the George Michael track Father Figure. So inspired was Ms Swift that she has chosen to reimagine the 1987 single on the new album, set to be released on October 3. 'Taylor is a huge fan of Nicole and has been so grateful for her support over the years,' a source close to the singer said. 'She always makes sure to watch Nicole's movies and loved Babygirl. She just couldn't get that song out of her head and it has proven a real inspiration for this new track.' Ms Kidman has known Ms Swift since she was a teenager, after she and her husband singer Keith Urban discovered the then-fledgling country singer. She said: 'We listened to Love Story. I remember thinking she was going to be huge – the rest is history.' Since supporting Mr Urban on his 2009 tour when she was 19, Ms Swift has become one of the most successful artists of all time, having sold 114 million albums and completed a 152-date world tour that made £1.5billion. The actress has posted pictures with the singer over the years, describing them as 'Folklore sisters' in reference to one of Ms Swift's albums. In 2018, Ms Kidman even skipped her husband's concert to take her daughters, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose, to see the singer perform that night. She shared a photo of herself hugging the pop star backstage, writing: 'Thank you Taylor Swift for your kindness to my girls and me. Beautiful woman inside and out. Your talent is extraordinary.' The Kidman-inspired track has been described as an 'interpolation' of George Michael's hit and will feature new lyrics by Ms Swift, but sample his melody. Kenny Goss said his late partner Mr Michael 'would've been proud' of the tribute. While he never met Ms Swift, he 'would've appreciated someone of her calibre taking an interest in his work'. Ms Swift said: 'This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour... It comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life.'
