Aaron Rodgers drops hint about where he might play, rules out one NFC team
A big question this NFL offseason has been whether Aaron Rodgers will return for Year 21 or if the four-time NFL MVP will retire.
And he might have dropped quite a hint about his future on Friday.
During an appearance the YNK podcast with Mike Stud, Rodgers was asked by a fan if he'd consider playing for the Chicago Bears — his longtime rival while Rodgers quarterbacked the Green Bay Packers.

'No, but I believe there's a team that might play in Chicago this year, for a road trip.' Rodgers said. 'I don't know, I'm not sure, I'm going to check it out.'
That team, of course, could be the Pittsburgh Steelers, who play the Bears on the road in Week 12.
Rodgers did, however, rule out the New Orleans Saints.
'I'm too old,' he said. 'I don't want to live in Louisiana. Sorry.'
Rodgers has been connected to the Steelers essentially the entire offseason. The two sides met in March, but left without a deal in place.
The 41-year-old told 'The Pat McAfee Show' in April that he was dealing with personal things that needed his attention more than football. He elaborated a bit more when he appeared on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' that people he's 'been in the weeds with' have cancer.

It's unclear when the four-time NFL MVP will make his decision, but ESPN's Adam Schefter predicted it will come sooner rather than later.
'I think that we've heard Art Rooney, the team owner, say he expects Aaron Rodgers to sign there, and they have mandatory minicamp June 10th to the 12th,' the NFL insider said on ESPN Milwaukee. So, I would think that Rodgers is on the table here in the next week or so."

NFL insider Ian Rapoport gives latest on Jonnu Smith trade rumors: 'He wants a lot'
NFL insider Ian Rapoport gives latest on Jonnu Smith trade rumors: 'He wants a lot' Jonnu Smith is angling for a new contract, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport isn't convinced that means he'll be traded by the Miami Dolphins anytime soon. "He is actually a part of what the Dolphins want to do," Rapoport said of Smith in a Friday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. "It feels to me like he wants more money, but would like to stay [in Miami]. I know he wants a lot. We'll see what they end up doing. "But going back to the [Jalen] Ramsey thing. If they are able to trade Jalen Ramsey, that's $21 million -- some of the $21 million will come off the books, depending on how much they pay. Trading Ramsey might help Jonnu Smith get the contract he wants, as well." Smith, 29, earned Pro Bowl honors in 2024 after breaking Dolphins franchise records for receptions (88), receiving yards (884), and receiving touchdowns (8) by a tight end. However, he ranks 32nd among tight ends sorted by average salary per year. While nine tight ends are earning at least $12 million per year, Smith is set to play on the second season of a two-year, $8.4 million contract. It's no surprise that Smith wants a sizable pay bump. How high he sets his asking price could be what determines whether or not he's dealt elsewhere.

Shedeur Sanders says '99%' of scrutiny during NFL draft came from Deion Sanders critics
Much has been written and said about Shedeur Sanders' draft slide, and many people view Deion Sanders as the main culprit. The former Colorado quarterback and current Cleveland Browns rookie recently spent a morning at a local Cleveland area high school giving life advice and answering the younger generation's questions. Sanders also talked about his draft slide and how, perhaps, his father and his father's fans were the root cause of all the criticism. Advertisement "They don't care about other people's opinion of you," Sanders said during an interview with "They go based off their own — 99% of hatred [directed at me] is toward pops. And then I'm just his son. But [the kids] didn't grow up in an era where they watched him play. It's just the older generation that does it rather than the younger people. Because when I come in person, there's no negativity I see. But it's all over online." A big reason why Sanders is excited to immerse himself in the Cleveland and NFL communities is that he can shape his own narrative, one that does not start with his dad. "That's why I like going [to schools] in person and actually meeting them, and any questions they have, I say, 'Just ask me whatever question you want. Pick any question. No filter, no anything.' That's what they say. And then I just answer whatever they need me to answer." Sanders' draft process was anything but smooth. The three-day wait included him getting passed over multiple times by quarterback-needy teams and a cruel prank call from a college student imitating New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis. Shedeur Sanders throws three touchdowns on Day 2 of Cleveland Browns OTAs
After a strong showing at the Cleveland Browns' rookie minicamp earlier this month, former Colorado football star Shedeur Sanders is going through his first OTAs as an NFL quarterback. The Browns began their first session of OTAs this week, and based on reported stats and highlights coming out of Cleveland, Shedeur Sanders is performing well. Sanders took reps after Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, according to Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot. Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters last week that the order is not worth fixating over. Advertisement ESPN Cleveland tracked the four quarterbacks during Wednesday's practice, which was open to media, and Sanders appeared to have the most successful day. The former Buffaloes star completed seven of his nine passes, with three going for touchdowns. Pickett was 9-of-16, and Gabriel finished 11-of-16 with a pair of touchdowns and an interception. Stats from any practice, let alone Day 2 of OTAs, should always be taken with a grain of salt, but it is noteworthy that Sanders is impressing early on. Pickett and Flacco, who appear to be the frontrunners to open the season as the Browns' top quarterback, spoke after practice on Sanders. Advertisement "Shedeur's an awesome guy," Pickett said. "He's funny to be around, he's a great time every day in the quarterback room. We have a lot of laughs together. It's been a lot of fun having him in the building." Sanders, being the talk of camp, is not surprising considering his famous name and highly publicized draft day slide. There is still a long way to go before any broad conclusions can be made about what Sanders' rookie year will look like, but a solid start to OTAs is a positive sign.
