The 29-year-old star is currently filming her first massive Hollywood film with Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Evans and Salma Hayak - Sacrifice, an upcoming action adventure comedy film.
The Sun can exclusively reveal that the hit Channel 4 show has snapped Ambika up, and she will appear in the upcoming Celebrity Bake Off series.
"Bosses were thrilled to sign Ambika up - she's a fan of the show so loved doing it," a source told us.
Channel 4 declined to comment.
Ambika left viewers in floods of tears when she starred in hit Netflix series One Day.
One Day follows university friends, Northern working-class Emma and posh Southern boy Dexter Mayhew, over 20 years.
The series sees the pair revisit their relationship every year on July 15.
Viewers were left in floods of "ugly tears" while watching the 10-part limited series for the first time.
After watching the show, which is based on a novel, fans took to X and discussed how they felt about the emotionally charged ending.
"Can we talk about the Netflix version of #OneDay now? I've never cried so much at a show in my life. I loved every minute," said one person at the time.

"You made me cry in an ugly way, but good for them."
In one interview, Ambika opened up about how she relates to her One Day character Emma.
Ambika Mod's career so far
AT just 29 years of age, Ambika has a glowing career ahead - but let's take a brief look at her career so far.
After studying at university, Ambika starred in a series of small films such as Fair Bnb, Granddaughter, The Sacrifice (aka Leila Margot) and Pet Name.
Her breakthrough role then came when she played a starring role in This Is Going To Hurt where she played the role of Shruti Acharya, a struggling junior doctor.
Ambika was then chosen for the 2022 BAFTA Breakthrough cohort and received the Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actress for her role in This Is Going To Hurt.
Her next role came as Emma in One Day, alongside Leo Woodall. She won the Netflix New Talent award for the role.
She said: "I do relate to Emma.
"We're both hard grafters, people on the outskirts.
"Emma's spent three years at the same uni as Dexter and he hasn't really noticed her.
"I was also a bit of a wallflower growing up.
"I wasn't invited to parties and I never won a school prize.'
Ambika comes from humble beginnings and has worked hard to get to where she is.
She grew up in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, with her younger sister Priya and their parents, who are both Indian immigrants.

Netflix adds outstanding crime-thriller that you 'need to watch immediately'

Netflix has quietly added one of the sharpest and most addictive crime thrillers to its lineup – and fans are already calling it essential viewing. Sneaky Pete, a critically praised series that originally aired on Prime Video, has landed on Netflix this week (July 10), giving the con-artist drama a new life and a much bigger audience. The show stars Giovanni Ribisi as Marius, a skilled grifter who gets out of prison and immediately assumes the identity of his old cellmate, Pete, in a desperate attempt to dodge a dangerous enemy. But what starts as a simple case of identity theft quickly snowballs. Marius ends up embedded in Pete's family, who haven't seen the real Pete in over 20 years – and are now running a family-owned bail bond business with secrets of their own. Caught in a web of lies, Marius must balance playing the perfect 'long-lost grandson' while running cons of his own and trying to avoid being found by Vince, the violent gangster played with icy charm by Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston – who also co-created the series. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. It's sharp, fast-paced, and full of tension – the kind of series you tell a friend about halfway through episode two because it's just that good. Since arriving on Netflix, Sneaky Pete has been rediscovered by viewers who missed it the first time around, with fans calling it one of the most underrated shows 'that you need to watch immediately.' One Reddit user, @ershkan266, praised the series: 'THIS SHOW IS A MASTERPIECE.' 'Such an amazing show.' Dyxnsty added on reddit. The show originally ran for three seasons between 2017 and 2019. While it didn't become a massive mainstream hit at the time, it earned consistent critical praise and a loyal following for its clever storytelling and high-stakes twists. The first season holds a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with reviewers praising the show's tight plotting and strong performances across the board. Ribisi brings a unique mix of charm and vulnerability to Marius, making him one of the most complex and watchable antiheroes in recent TV memory. His constant juggling act – lying to a family who genuinely care about him, while running scams to stay ahead – is both thrilling and, surprisingly, moving. Then there's Margo Martindale, who steals scenes as Audrey, Pete's no-nonsense grandmother and the true powerhouse of the family. Marin Ireland, Peter Gerety, Shane McRae, and Libe Barer round out the ensemble, each bringing depth and intrigue to a family that might not be as innocent as they seem. If Breaking Bad is a show about a man becoming a criminal, Sneaky Pete is about a criminal learning what it means to be human – all while trying to stay alive and out of trouble. The show's creator, David Shore (House), left early in the process, but Graham Yost (Justified) stepped in as showrunner. Even more exciting? The real Pete eventually re-enters the picture, throwing Marius into an even deeper mess of his own making. More Trending While some fans were disappointed the series wasn't renewed beyond season three, others say it ended at the perfect moment – and now, thanks to Netflix, a whole new wave of viewers can experience the rollercoaster from the beginning. Social media users have already started posting about the show's return, with comments like, 'really good show that got no recognition.' – @randelpho on Reddit. It may have flown under the radar when it first aired, but with its arrival on Netflix, Sneaky Pete is finally getting the attention it deserves. Wimbledon star is dating former athlete she bumped into in coffee shop after losing at SW19

Wimbledon star is dating former athlete she bumped into in coffee shop after losing at SW19 American tennis player Danielle Collins was sent packing from Wimbledon at the third-round stage, but every cloud has a silver lining given she found love with a man she met in a coffee shop in London Danielle Collins has revealed how she met her boyfriend at a coffee shop after losing at Wimbledon (Image: Getty ) Pro tennis star Danielle Collins is in a relationship with a man she met at a London coffee shop after losing at Wimbledon. The American was ejected from Wimbledon this year following a one-sided loss to Iga Swiatek in the third round, where she briefly forgot the rules. Despite never advancing past the fourth round in the ladies' singles, she did reach the semi-finals of the women's doubles event in 2022. ‌ Collins, 31, had her best Wimbledon run last year, making it to the second week before being ousted by eventual champion Barbora Krejcikova. The world No. 54 has experienced plenty of disappointment at the All England Club, having competed at Wimbledon eight times. However, her 2024 loss to Krejcikova came with an unexpected bonus. ‌ After the match, Collins visited a nearby coffee shop before returning to the United States. There, she met Bryan Kipp, a former college athlete, and they started dating shortly after. Men's star Carlos Alcaraz has opened up on the difficulty of maintaining a relationship as a tennis star. But Collins and her beau are still together, with Kipp recently seen supporting Collins at the Charleston Open. During the tournament, Collins spoke about their serendipitous meeting in London in a frank interview with the Tennis Channel (via the Daily Express). And it certainly put a silver lining on her exit from the Grand Slam shortly prior. We have been going out for a while now," she said. "We met at a coffee shop in London, so that was pretty exciting. I didn't think I would meet someone at a coffee shop. "Who would have thought? Just after the tournament, Wimbledon. He didn't know anything about tennis, and he didn't know I was a tennis player, which was really nice. ‌ "He was actually a bigger fan of golf and so he said, 'Well I really like golf. I don't really know much about tennis.' And I was like, 'Yes! That's so exciting.' "It's fun to kind of be around someone that has interests in other things and that's not as familiar with the sport, because you get to learn and grow with them and help them." The American will look to make a renewed run at the US Open on home soil (Image: Getty ) Article continues below Collins also revealed the sheer joy of sharing her love for tennis with her partner, who is more inclined towards other sports: "We haven't had a lot of time on the court for me to teach him, because we just don't find enough time 'cause we're doing golf and he's also at my matches a lot, and he's working. "But in the future, I'm hoping we'll play like the husband-wife doubles. I explained to him that this is a big deal in the tennis world, so hopefully that doesn't tear us apart." As for the competitive edge to their relationship, she shared: "He is very competitive. He was a football player at Columbia. Very smart, engineer major. So, I'm more kind of like the jock in the relationship, and he's definitely more of the cerebral one."
