Summer Slam has fans in a chokehold with the hype around it. Often pegged as the second biggest WWE event, Summer Slam is headed to East Rutherford, New Jersey, this weekend for a two-day extravaganza at MetLife Stadium.

WWE SummerSlam 2025
Day 1 preview: Full match line-up, how to watch, start timings,
Cardi B
and more
The WrestleMania rematch between WWE champion
John Cena
and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship is perhaps the biggest highlight of the event.
It has also been reported that this might be John Cena's last appearance at a SummerSlam as an in-ring performer, as he retired from professional wrestling recently.
However, John Cena and Cody Rhodes' match is set for Day 2. On Saturday, August 2, SummerSlam will host six matches. The most exciting among them is the match between
Roman Reigns
and Jey Uso. Reigns returns to action for the first time since WrestleMania 41 and will fight Uso to take on the challenge of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Cardi B is also set to appear in SummerSlam and will most likely host Day 1. SummerSlam is airing just a week after the death of WWE legend Hulk Hogan. While WWE has already paid tribute to the wrestler in a couple of its shows, SummerSlam could also be planning another prominent tribute to the icon, considering its viewership.
Let's look at the line-up for the Day 1 event (

India creates history at Oval, beats England by 6 runs to level series at 2-2
India creates history at Oval, beats England by 6 runs to level series at 2-2 New Delhi: As soon as Mohammed Siraj dismissed Gus Atkinson, the entire ground erupted in joy. Indian players rushed to Siraj, and Dhruv Jurel was the first to reach and hug him. Teammates came running from all directions — it was a celebration of a historic victory. Captain Shubman Gill also saluted the courage of opposition player Chris Woakes, who batted with one hand despite an injured shoulder and remained on the field. Woakes' one hand tucked inside his sweater and the bat in the other — this scene will be remembered forever in cricket history. India took a full victory lap at the Oval, and Siraj soaked in every moment with the ball in hand amid loud cheers and slogans from the crowd. On the very first ball of the 85th over — after more than 1000 deliveries in the series — he delivered a sensational yorker that crashed into the stumps. Atkinson tried to play it towards square but couldn't even connect. Siraj raised both arms and looked to the sky. This victory became a story of India's passion, spirit, and a remarkable comeback. The series ended in a 2-2 draw, but the story of this Test match will be remembered for years. Struggle of Indian Batters in the First Innings Winning the toss and opting to bat first, India managed 224 runs in their first innings. The start was poor, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (2) and KL Rahul (14) falling cheaply. Karun Nair top-scored with 57, while Sai Sudharsan added 38 and Ravindra Jadeja 31. For England, Gus Atkinson wreaked havoc with 5 wickets, and Josh Tongue chipped in with 3. England's First Innings – Siraj and Prasidh Shine In response, England were all out for 247. Zak Crawley scored 64 and Harry Brook 53, but Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna each took 4 wickets to ensure England didn't take a big lead. India's Comeback in the Second Innings Yashasvi Jaiswal led the way with a superb 118 in the second innings. Shubman Gill scored a captain's knock of 119, while Karun Nair (73) and Washington Sundar (53) provided vital support. This time, England's bowlers struggled to make an impact as India posted 396. England's Second Innings – Another Collapse Chasing 403, England started well. Joe Root (105) and Harry Brook (111) batted brilliantly, but Root's dismissal triggered a collapse. Gus Atkinson was the last man out, and England were bowled out for 367. Outstanding Performance by Indian Bowlers Mohammed Siraj took 5 wickets in the second innings and 9 in the match. Prasidh Krishna bagged 4 wickets and Akash Deep took 1. With this excellent bowling display, India clinched a memorable win by 6 runs, adding a thrilling chapter to Test cricket history.

WATCH: Mohammed Siraj seals India's narrowest Test match win and celebrates with a 'Siuu'
Mohammed Siraj celebrates after dismissing Gus Atkinson on Day 5 of Oval Test. (Photo: IANS) Team India found a hero when they needed it the most and it was Mohammed Siraj on the final day of the 5th Test at the Oval on Monday. England needed only 35 runs to win with 4 wickets in hand but Siraj turned on the heat and claimed 3 out of the 4 wickets to fall to complete a brilliant five-wicket haul and nine wickets in the match. Siraj ends the series as the highest wicket-taker between both the sides with 23 wickets in 5 Tests as India and England ended up with sharing the honours 2-2. The Gujarat Titans pacer ended the game by clean bowling Gus Atkinson – the last hope for the home side for 17 – to complete a six-run win. WATCH Mohammed Siraj seal a six-run win for India in the 5th Test vs England HERE… #TeamIndia seal a win for the ages as #MohammadSiraj bags a brilliant five-for! Ye comeback karna sikhane aaye hai! #ENGvIND 5th TEST, DAY 5 | LIVE NOW on JioHotstar — Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) August 4, 2025 Siraj revealed that he downloaded a wallpaper of 'Believe' ahead of the final day to give himself the belief that they could win the match. 'When I woke up today, I thought I could do it. I downloaded a picture from Google saying 'believe.' I thought the Brook drop was a game-changing moment,' Siraj said after the match. If I took Harry Brook catch, we might not have come out today: Mohammed Siraj Team India pacer had made a massive blunder by stepping on the ropes while taking the catch of England batter Harry Brook. The English batter was on 19 at that time and went on to complete his 10th Test ton and put on 195 runs for the 4th wicket with Joe Root, who also scored a century. 'I feel amazing because we fought hard from day one til now. My plan was to hit my areas consistently and build pressure. Everything from there was a bonus… If it had been taken, we might not have come out today. But the way he attacked, hats off to him. Lord's Test was heartbreaking, Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) bhai told me to back my defence and remember my dad and do it for him,' Siraj added. Shubman Gill says both team came into final day not knowing result Team India captain Shubman Gill was selected as the 'Player of the Series' for Indians by the England coach Brendon McCullum. Gill said that both teams came to the ground still unsure about the result on the final day. 'The way both teams played was great. We came into the final days not knowing the result, showing both teams came with their 'A' game. When you have bowlers like Siraj and Prasidh like that, captaincy looks easy. I think the way we responded today was magnificent. We were confident, even yesterday, we knew there under pressure,' Gill said at the post-match presentation. 'We wanted to make sure it stayed throughout. Siraj is a captain's dream. Gave it his all every ball and every spell he bowled. 2-2 is a fair reflection. It shows how passionate both teams were and how well they played. It was very rewarding, my aim was to be the best batter this series and getting there is very satisfying. It's always a matter of sorting things out technically and mentally, they are correlated. Learnings from the last six week: We never give up,' he added.
