'Between Things' Exhibition Opens at Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, and supervised by Dr. Waleed Qannoush, Head of the Fine Arts Sector, the Fine Arts Sector cordially invited the public to attend the opening of the exhibition titled 'Between Things', by artist Haidy Mohamed.
The exhibition is set to be inaugurated on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center, located in El Tahrir, next to the Cairo Sports Club (Gezira).
The opening is held in the 'Iberes' Hall of the cultural center.
The exhibition will run until May 18, 2025, and welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, except Fridays.
This event highlights the Ministry of Culture's commitment to supporting Egyptian artists and promoting contemporary visual arts.

"Alien: Earth" Trailer Is Here
Yara Sameh FX has finally dropped the official trailer for for the sci-fi horror series "Alien: Earth," an eight-episode series serving as a prequel to Ridley Scott's 'Alien.' According to the show's synopsis, The official series logline reads: 'When the mysterious deep space research vessel USCSS Maginot crash-lands on Earth, 'Wendy' (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat. In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans. But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named Wendy marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani's spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.' The series stars Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Alex Lawther as CJ, Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, and Adarsh Gourav as Slightly. Other cast members include Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El. Though the world of 'Alien' is nine films strong with the release of Fede Alvarez's 'Alien: Romulus' last summer, 'Alien: Earth' marks the first time Scott's long-running sci-fi franchise is sojourning to the small screen. The first season releases on August 12, though FX boss John Landgraf told Variety he's hopeful the series will return for a second installment. 'We're pretty bullish on 'Alien: Earth' and we've told him that assuming, as we hope, 'Alien: Earth' is a returning television series,' he said. Karim Abdel Aziz's ‘Project X' soars at box office, unveils global pyramid mystery
'Project X' achieved impressive box office revenues in Egyptian cinemas on the eve of Eid al-Adha. The highly anticipated film secured the top spot, raking in LE2.114 million from the sale of 14,880 tickets in just 24 hours. This strong performance propelled the film's total earnings over 16 nights to an remarkable LE52.2 million, with 368,000 tickets sold. 'Project X': A cinematic spectacle 'Project X' stands as one of the most ambitious cinematic productions in the history of Egyptian and Arab cinema. Its grand scale is underscored by filming across five countries: Egypt, Vatican City, Italy, Turkey, and El Salvador. The film also boasts the use of cutting-edge global cinematic technologies, including IMAX, 4DX, Dolby Atmos, and ScreenX, promising audiences an unparalleled visual and auditory experience in the Arab world. This upcoming film will see him team up with fellow superstar Ahmed Ezz, promising a powerful on-screen pairing. Penned by Mohamed al-Dabbah with a story by Turki al-Sheikh, '7Dogs' is set to be directed by the internationally recognized duo Adel and Bilal, and also produced by al-Sheikh.
