Will any of the Boston Celtics younger talents take a leap next season?
As such, things could get ugly before they start to get better. After all, most of the youthful talent at Joe Mazzulla's disposal is rather inexperienced at the NBA level, and that includes recent additions Luka Garza and Josh Minott. Nevertheless, the hope will be that with good coaching and consistent roles, at least a couple of the younger guys can take a developmental jump.
During a recent episode of the "First To The Floor" podcast, the hosts discussed Boston's youthful roster and debated which members of the younger core could take a developmental leap next season. From third-year forward Jordan Walsh to rookie Hugo Gonzalez, Mazzulla will have his hands full as he tries to educate some future contributors.

NBA sets schedule for 2025-26 games in Europe, unveils plans for 2027, 2028
The NBA on Wednesday announced its regular-season European schedule for the 2025-26 season and unveiled plans to play regular-season season games in Paris, Berlin and Manchester in 2027 and 2028. The Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic will play two games in Europe this season – in Berlin on Jan. 15, and in London on Jan. 18. "Announcing the next three season's regular-season games in Europe reflects the incredible momentum and appetite for NBA basketball in France, Germany, the UK and across the region," NBA managing director of Europe and Middle East George Aivazoglou said in a news release. "We look forward to welcoming the Grizzlies and the Magic to Berlin and London and to engaging fans, players and the local communities through the games and the surrounding events." The Magic's Franz and Mo Wagner are from Germany, and the Berlin game will the NBA's first regular-season game in the country. "To have the Orlando Magic and the NBA play a regular-season game in our hometown of Berlin means everything to us," the Wagner brothers said in a joint statement. "Growing up here, we dreamed of moments like this. It's a huge honor to represent Berlin and Germany and show how much the city and country love basketball. We hope we can inspire kids the way we were inspired watching games from afar." The NBA's push into the European market has been steady and unsurprising. As the league considers expansion of its North American-based league, it is also exploring the creation a new league based in Europe – with the idea of adding already existing franchises and creating franchises in underserved markets. "Just as the same as in American cities, we think there's an opportunity to serve fans in Europe," NBA commissioner Adam Silver said at the NBA Finals. "No knock on European basketball, because most of those international MVPs I just talked about are coming from Europe. There's really high-level basketball being played there. But we think there is an opportunity to better serve fans there. I view that as a form of expansion as well, and that's something we're also thinking hard about." Jalen Hurts talks growing relationship with Michael Jordan; Championship mentality
Jalen Hurts details his growing relationship with NBA legend, Michael Jordan Jalen Hurts is one of the new faces of Jordan Brand, and the Eagles Super Bowl hero has catapulted that endorsement opportunity into a relationship with legendary Bulls star and icon, Michael Jordan. Hurts talked to Esports Insider, D.J. Siddiqi, about his growing relationship with Jordan and the NBA legend's championship mentality. 'That's been a growing relationship and growing friendship,' Hurts told Esports Insider in an exclusive interview. 'And obviously the mentality he's had, what he's meant to competitive sports, speaks for itself. That's something that I'm able to lean on.' Hurts was named to TIME's '100 Most Influential' list as an icon and got the stamp of approval from Jeter, who said this about the Eagles star. This past February, Jalen found himself on the Super Bowl stage again. This time he led Philadelphia to a convincing victory in its rematch with Kansas City. We connected shortly after, and the only thing he asked about was insight on going back and winning again. Sometimes people win, then exhale. Jalen is not exhaling. He's embracing the next challenge. Win or lose, Jalen's resilience and determination offer all of us something to admire. There have been a myriad of debates concerning where Jalen Hurts lands in the NFL quarterback hierarchy. After appearing in two of the last three Super Bowls, including winning this past February, there's no doubt that the Eagles' star is among the most efficient and dependable at his position. Hurts, crowned Super Bowl LIX MVP, became just the second QB in Eagles history to deliver a Super Bowl Championship to the City of Philadelphia, joining Nick Foles (Super Bowl LII MVP). According to Elias Sports, Hurts is only the seventh NFL QB to appear in multiple Super Bowls and win a championship in their first five seasons. The other QBs who did so are Troy Aikman, Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner, and Russell Wilson.

Kendrick Perkins is picking 'skinny Luka' Doncic to win NBA MVP
Many are talking about the new, leaner and fitter version of Luka Doncic that has emerged this offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has gotten on a stringent diet and workout plan, and based on photos and videos that have surfaced, his body has been transformed. Gone is the layer of blubber that enveloped his body over the last few years and hindered his efforts to get back on defense and stay in front of his man on that end of the floor. Now, his muscles are defined, and it is exciting news for Lakers fans and a nightmare in the making for the rest of the NBA. ESPN personality Kendrick Perkins gave Doncic credit for transforming his body and taking all the criticism the superstar has received to heart. 'Luka and the Los Angeles Lakers, they broke through the internet today because they're one,' Perkins said. 'They're one now. You see them? We ain't looking at the chubby, fat Luka, the beer-sipping Luka. We ain't looking at medium Luka. We looking at skinny Luka. I saw his jawline. I saw veins popping out of his ears. The man is in shape. and it's going to be a problem this year for the rest of the league.' In fact, Perkins proclaimed that the 6-foot-7 guard is his "early pick for MVP." 'The man is skinny,' Perkins added. 'By the way, he is my early pick for MVP. If we saw what we were getting out of Chubby Luka, imagine what we about to get out of damn skinny Luka. We about to get the best version of Luka Doncic.' It remains to be seen if the Lakers will win enough games for Doncic to have a real shot at the league MVP award, an award he hasn't won. But his quality of play and performance will be the most important thing. He already has career averages of 28.6 points on 46.8% field-goal shooting and 35% 3-point shooting, 8.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists a game. If he was able to do that while fat, out of shape and banged up, it is scary to imagine how much better and more refined he could be while in terrific shape. His shooting efficiency and free throw shooting have lots of room for improvement, as does his ball security, and he can play better man-to-man defense. Improving in those areas would help the Lakers get closer to championship contention.
