Here's who Kaizer Chiefs will face in the CAF Confederation Cup
The first legs of the competition will take place between 19-21 September, with the second legs scheduled for 26-28 September.
Amakhosi faced Angolan opposition in the 2001 CAF Cup Winners Cup final when they defeated Inter Clube de Luanda 2-1 on aggregate, to win their first continental title – drawing the first-leg 1-1 away, and then winning the return leg 1-0 at Ellis Park, courtesy of a Patrick Mabedi penalty.
Kaizer Chiefs also faced Petro Luanda in the first qualifying round of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League.
A 0-0 first-leg home draw was followed by a 1-0 away win in the second-leg, with Leonardo Castro scoring the game's only goal.
In four matches over two ties against Angolan clubs in CAF competition, Kaizer Chiefs are yet to lose, winning two games and drawing two.
Should Kaizer Chiefs progress to the second preliminary round of qualifying they will face the winners of Djabal FC from Comoros and a team from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who are yet to be determined.
This is Kaizer Chiefs' third participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In 2014, they were eliminated in the playoff round by ASEC Mimosas of Cote d' Ivoire in 2014 and in 2018/19, the lost out to Zesco United of Zambia in the second qualifying round.
The Glamour Boys will be aiming to reach the group stages of the competition for the first time.
The second preliminary round will take place in the final two weeks of October with the group stages starting on 28 November.

Youssef hails Kaizer Chiefs' winning start to Premiership season
Kaizer Chiefs' first assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef, standing in for the absent head coach Nasreddine Nabi, said he was pleased the team had started the season on a winning note after their 2-0 Premiership win over Stellenbosch FC at Athlone Stadium. Chiefs start season strong with 2-0 win over 10-man Stellies despite key absences
Kaizer Chiefs got their 2025/26 season off to a good start, outwitting 10-man Stellenbosch 2-0 in their league opener at Athlone Stadium on Sunday. Glody Lilepo converted from the spot for the second goal after Omega Mdaka missed the ball and kicked Ashley du Preez deep in stoppage time. Nkosingiphile Ngcobo opened the scoring in the first half of the sold-out affair in the Cape. Chiefs were not only without their head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who on Friday had rushed to his homeland of Tunisia to be with his wife after she was involved in a car accident. They also missed all the new players they recently signed from foreign leagues including striker Flavio Silva, midfielder Ethan Chislett and Nkanyiso Shinga. The players are believed to be still waiting for their International Transfer Clearances (ITCs). Thabiso Monyane, who joined the side from arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in July, also made his debut by starting the game. Conversely, Stellenbosch only made two changes to the starting XI that beat AmaZulu 3-2 in the MTN8 quarterfinals last week, with Chumani Butsaka and Siviwe Nkwali replacing Thato Khiba and Athenkosi Mcaba from the previous game's first XI. Devin Titus also nearly levelled matters six minutes before the hour mark, only for his excellent curler to hit the woodwork. Sanele Barns would be the next Stellies player to hit the woodwork again, via a free-kick, a few minutes later. The second half wasn't as entertaining as the first one. Chiefs brought in Sibongiseni "Ox" Mthethwa for Ngcobo at the start of the stanza and that stabilised things for them in the midfield as Stellies couldn't find the joy they found in the first half.

Kaizer Chiefs are off to a winning start following a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch FC in their first match of the Betway Premiership. Goals from Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Makabi Lilepo saw Amakhosi claim all three points in Cape Town in their opening league game. This is the second season in a row that Chiefs have claimed a win in their first league match. Coming into the match, the Glamour Boys were without their head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who flew to Tunisia after his wife was involved in an accident. Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze were on the touchline during Kaizer Chiefs' opening match of the season. A win sees Amakhosi third in the Betway Premiership and most importantly, they are above rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns. The two teams failed to win their opening matches. Despite Stellies playing most of the match with 10 men, Amakhosi fans feel their team is going in the right direction. Some fans feel the team can go all out and win the Betway Premiership after watching just one match.
