Netflix has dropped the much-anticipated trailer for Wednesday season 2 part 2, teasing a string of surprises, including the return of fan favourite Principal Larissa Weems in a supernatural role and the first vocal hint of pop icon Lady Gaga's mysterious character. The final four episodes of the gothic teen hit are set to premiere on September 3, 2025, picking up from the shocking cliffhanger that ended Part 1 earlier this month.Part 1 ended on August 6 with Tyler Galpin, in his Hyde form, hurling Wednesday Addams out of a hospital window during a deadly confrontation at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital. The new trailer opens with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) regaining consciousness in a sterile hospital room, only to be greeted by a familiar — and unexpected — face.Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie), who died in the Season 1 finale, appears alive, dressed in a nurse's uniform. But the reunion quickly turns uncanny. 'If I'm not dead, why are you here?' Wednesday demands. Weems' reply is as cryptic as it is startling: 'Because I am your new spirit guide. Surprise!'Only Wednesday can see Weems, who guides her through dreamlike locations, from a door to nowhere to a massive gorgon-head fireplace, warning her that time is running out. 'If you don't hurry, you'll have nothing left to save,' Weems intones in a voiceover.Meanwhile, the threat of Tyler (Hunter Doohan) looms large. Having escaped psychiatric confinement, he turns his attention to Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers), who once intervened to save Wednesday from his attack. In a tense exchange, Enid accuses Wednesday of being responsible for Tyler's escape. 'Fix it? You're the reason he escaped,' she snaps. Weems, unseen by Enid, calmly notes, 'She has got a point.'The trailer offers glimpses of the dangerous chase through Nevermore Academy and the surrounding town of Jericho, with Wednesday and Enid forced into an uneasy alliance. The Addams family makes their presence felt in the new footage. Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) delivers a cryptic line about 'dark family secrets,' possibly alluding to the mysterious disappearance of Ophelia, a figure yet to be fully explored in the series.Clips show eerie nighttime expeditions, gothic interiors, and the distinct visual flair that has defined the show, from ornate costumes to shadow-drenched corridors. The trailer's closing moments introduce a voice that fans instantly recognised, Lady Gaga's. The global music icon was previously announced as a guest star for Wednesday season 2, but her role has been kept under wraps.'Beware, there will be a price to pay,' her voice warns ominously, leaving viewers to speculate whether she will be an ally or antagonist in the upcoming episodes. The absence of on-screen footage of Gaga in the teaser has only deepened curiosity, with many fans theorising she could be tied to the supernatural events surrounding Weems' spectral return. With Wednesday season 2 part 2, creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar appear to be doubling down on the show's mix of supernatural mystery, teen drama, and gothic humour. The decision to split the season has kept audiences engaged, with Part 1 resolving the Crackstone arc while setting up new threats and deepening the interpersonal rifts between characters. The introduction of a 'spirit guide' dynamic between Wednesday and Weems marks a shift in tone, blending afterlife lore into the series' already layered mythology.Since its debut, Wednesday has become one of Netflix's most-watched series, appealing to both longtime Addams Family fans and a new generation drawn to Ortega's deadpan portrayal. The release of the Part 2 trailer has already sparked trending hashtags on social media, with particular buzz around Gaga's involvement and the emotional resonance of Weems' return. For now, fans can only speculate about the fate of Nevermore Academy and whether Wednesday will be able to outmanoeuvre both human and supernatural threats in time. The final four episodes will premiere on September 3, 2025.It confirms Principal Weems' return as Wednesday's spirit guide and teases Lady Gaga's character, whose role remains a mystery.

K-Pop Demon Hunters' Cast Reveals How They Reacted To BTS' Shout-Out
Last Updated: KPop Demon Hunters has broken several records, including becoming Netflix's biggest animated original feature ever and the second most-streamed English original movie of all time. Netflix's K-pop Demon Hunters has become a global phenomenon. Released on the streaming platform on June 20, the animated musical has broken several records, including becoming Netflix's biggest animated original feature ever and the second most-streamed English original movie of all time. And that's not all, Golden, one of the songs in the film's soundtrack, made history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by becoming the first K-pop girl group song, although fictional, to top the chart. Now, Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji Young Yoo, the stars behind the voices of the demon-hunting K-pop girl group HUNTR/X (Huntrix), are sharing their experience on receiving unexpected love and admiration from all over the world. The actresses sat down for an interview with Gold Derby and discussed the possibility of receiving awards and recognition from popular K-pop artists like BTS. For Arden, who plays Rumi, the lead vocalist of Huntrix, the possibility of getting an Oscar feels surreal. She said, 'It would be such an honour. We feel so lucky just to be here and to be receiving all this love. It's amazing to be part of a movie that makes everybody feel good." May Hong, who voiced Mira, shared that she couldn't 'wrap" her head around the fact that their film is contending for Oscars. Ji Young Yoo, who was the voice behind Zoey, the maknae of Huntrix, agreed to what May said and added, 'I think the fact that we went from making a movie that I think we all really loved and cared about to it developing into this phenomenon worldwide, to what is quickly becoming an Oscar and awards run…I'm just along for the ride, and I'll process it all after." KPop Demon Hunters not only received positive reactions from the viewers but also got a seal of approval from real-life K-pop artists. From BTS to Seventeen, some of the industry's biggest names have praised the film and its authenticity. When asked how they reacted after watching famous personalities embracing their film, the actresses shared that it was a 'we did it" moment. Arden mentioned, 'That stamp of approval! We're like… Yes, we did it! I think we're just so thankful because all of these idols and artists who are loving the movie have really helped us get here." May Hong added, 'When I see that they all have millions and millions of followers, I also can't wrap my mind around that they're so into what we have done. Obviously, we didn't sing or dance personally, but still. Even with Lee Byung Hun [the Squid Game actor who voiced Gwi Ma, the king of demons in KPop Demon Hunters], it's like, so that person knows I exist?" Sharing that they were initially worried about whether the audience would accept the depiction of Korea in the film, Young Yoo quipped, 'We wanted to make sure we got Korea right, that we got the culture right. All of us were like, 'Will they approve? Will they accept it?' So to see them not just accept it but embrace it, and support it, and give us so much love, is just the biggest sigh of relief. " She further added, 'The warmth that spread through our bodies when all of this started happening was really just wonderful, and as an ARMY for 10 years, going on 11 now, there's no words. I felt my organs shut down (when BTS mentioned the film)." Arden explained that the moment was unforgettable. 'All of our phones were blowing up. Everyone was like, 'Did you see it?'" she revealed. Meanwhile, Ji Young Yoo candidly mentioned, 'Everyone kept asking me what I thought, and there's no thoughts. I thought I might faint." A sing-along theatrical version of KPop Demon Hunters is set ot be released on August 23 and 24. view comments First Published: August 16, 2025, 11:18 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. However, earlier this year, Vijay Deverakonda shared why he consciously guards his private world even after previously admitting he's in a relationship. 'I've always felt like it's a strange split, you want to be an actor and be known by the world, but you also want to remain anonymous. It's some kind of psychotic dichotomy," he told The Hollywood Reporter India. The actor went on to say that if he could create a fictional version of himself and keep his real identity hidden, he would. 'I used to tell people that if I could wear a mask that didn't look like me, and that guy could be the star while I still got to act, I'd be happy. Because for me, Vijay Deverakonda the actor, I operate for him," he explained. Meanwhile, on the work front, Rashmika was last seen in Sikandar opposite Salman Khan. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is now streaming on Netflix. On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda was recently seen in Kingdom, a spy thriller helmed by Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri.
