‘Who you surround yourself with matters.' Jalen Ramsey's latest IG story is brutal
His latest Instagram story might've just doubled down even further.
The seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback posted a photo of rotten oranges Thursday night alongside a caption that seemingly read as an indictment of the Dolphins as a whole.
'Who you surround yourself with matters,' the first part of the caption read, followed by a short inscription underneath the picture that said 'If you surround yourself with people who are okay with mediocre, you too will start to be okay with it... surround yourself with people who desire GREATNESS!'
This post came a little more than a week after NFL Network insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport first reported Ramsey and the Dolphins mutually agreed to explore a trade. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier later confirmed the report that same day.
'We decided that it was probably in the best interest for all parties to move forward,' Grier said April 15. 'I will say, these decisions aren't done quickly and they're not taken lightly because we spent a lot of time this offseason working through this, talking through things. At the end of the day, Jalen did not ask for a trade. So we went through the process and just felt that after numerous conversations and then talking last week with Jalen and his agent that it was best to move forward and it was the best interest of the Miami Dolphins and for Jalen Ramsey.'
Ramsey reportedly wants to play for a contender, according to Outkick's Armando Salguero. The Dolphins have spoken to the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles among others.

Brandon Beane: James Cook is another draft pick we're excited to extend
James Cook and the Bills made it official on Wednesday morning, with the running back signing his contract extension. General Manager Brandon Beane shared his excitement about the deal with reporters shortly after Cook put pen to paper. 'This is the new young core that we're putting our money into,' Beane said, via Sal Maiorana of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. 'We want to draft, develop, and re-sign. This is another draft pick we're proud of, and we're excited to get extended. He's got a skillset we want to maintain in this offense. There was never a case of not wanting to extend him. 'Once we got him back on the practice field, we really worked hard [on Tuesday],' Beane added. 'I think it was roughly 11 o'clock or so last night where we were able to say both sides were good with this.' Cook had been staging a hold-in and didn't participate in Buffalo's first preseason game over the weekend. But now that's over, with Cook signing a four-year, $48 million deal with $30 million guaranteed. With a new deal could come bigger numbers. Cook was on the field for only 48 percent of offensive snaps in his 16 games played last season. He still led the league with 16 touchdowns, rushing for 1,009 yards while catching 32 passes for 258 yards with two TDs. He's now reached the Pro Bowl in back-to-back seasons. 'We think he can take more, but we do want to use our other weapons,' Beane said. 'Like anything, it's that fine balance. Some of it is not him wanting out, it's us throwing as many different pieces and looks for the defense while also keeping him fresh. 'He's an explosive talent, and if you overuse them and they get wear and tear, they're not the same player. We do think he can be a three-down player. We're excited with where he's at. I don't think he's been overtaxed or 'Man, his tread on his tires is getting worn' by any means.' In 49 career games with 29 starts, Cook has rushed for 2,638 yards with 20 TDs and caught 97 passes for 883 yards with seven scores.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis shared the same cryptic social media post
The partnership of LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the Los Angeles Lakers may not have been as fruitful as it should've been, but it did yield an NBA championship in 2020. By all accounts, the two got along very well as Lakers teammates and still have some type of connection six months after the trade that sent Davis to the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic to L.A. Both Davis and Doncic have apparently moved on from the initial shock of being involved in that completely unexpected and seismic deal. While James may not be the happiest camper as a result, most expect him to remain a member of the Lakers this coming season despite the trade rumors that have surrounded him this summer. Both James and Davis shared the same quote on Instagram, and it has people talking and speculating. The quote both superstars posted is a personal development nugget that is commonly interpreted as saying that in the journey to maximizing one's potential and accomplishing one's dreams, some people have to be left behind in order for one to grow. Sometimes, it could mean leaving behind close friends one had a fantastic relationship with, as such relationships can sometimes run their course. While some may think this means James wants to be traded to the Mavericks in order to reunite with Davis, the simplest explanation for the twin posts is that the two miss playing together.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis get cryptic with identical ‘goodbyes' Instagram posts
LeBron James and Anthony Davis can't get out of each other's minds. The former Lakers teammates posted the same cryptic message to their respective Instagram Story on Tuesday. 'Becoming the best version of yourself comes with a lot of goodbyes,' the posts read. 3 LeBron James and Anthony Davis shaking hands while facing off after Davis' trade to Dallas. NBAE via Getty Images Naturally, this will add some fuel to the rumors that James wants out of Los Angeles and to play with his two title-winning Robins to his Batman in Davis and Kyrie Irving. Davis and Irving are now paired up in Dallas after Davis was unceremoniously sent packing along with Max Christie from the Lakers in exchange for Luka Doncic at last year's trade deadline. 3 LeBron Ajmes and Anthony Davis each posted this on their Instagram story. Instagram, KingJames James won the NBA Finals with Davis in 2020 during the bubble season when they dominated the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat. James' agent, Rich Paul, previously put out cryptic statements of his own regarding his client's future, boldly stating that James wants to compete for a chance to win the title in 2026, with the underlying tone being that the Lakers are not currently in a position to do so. 3 Anthony Davis and LeBron James might still want to play together after all. NBAE via Getty Images The four-time NBA champion and future Hall of Famer could have opted out of his contract this offseason, but instead chose to opt in and make $52 million this season, as no team had the cap space to pay him that much. With the two sides seemingly not seeing eye to eye, James could surely use some more help throughout the roster as he enters his age-41 season. Los Angeles brought in DeAndre Ayton and Marcus Smart, among others, to help fix a team that was eliminated in five games by the Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs last season.
