Outlander Blood of My Blood teaser photos send fans into frenzy ahead of first episode

Daily Record3 days ago
Outlander fans were thrilled with the update, just hours before the Starz spin-off is set to hit screens on Friday, August 8.
Outlander Blood of My Blood is almost here, with the spin-off series just hours away from airing its first episode. Starz announced it will premiere on Friday, August 8.

Fans of the hit historical romance have been thrilled, as they have been served up a snippet just hours before its launch. The official Instagram page for the Starz show shared some teaser photos on Thursday afternoon.

"The Highlands are calling and I must go. #BloodOfMyBlood," the official Instagram account for Outlander captioned the post, which was shared to their 1.9 million followers.

Fans were quick to rush to the post, delighted with the update. "I'm soo excited," one person wrote alongside a string of crying emojis. Another fan echoed: "Can't actually wait! This is going to be so good!," as they shared a string of red hearts.
Someone else quipped: "I have a feeling this will be the next heartbeat of our lives," as they referenced the magic that the original Outlander franchise brought to thousands across the globe.

"The actors are really well chosen," wrote another as they shared their excitement for the debut on Friday. A fan echoing the sentiment and praising the actors, chimed: "I can't wait to see the story unfold and the casting is spot on".
"You knew exactly what you were doing sharing these stunning photos when you did and I thank you for it," said another fan. Another added: "Absolutely buzzing. Counting your days to see these four in my screen".
Since its debut more than a decade ago, Outlander has amassed a global fanbase. The historical romance series, centring round Claire Randall/Fraser (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), saw their love affair quickly capture hearts.

However with the show nearing its end with the eighth and final season set for 2026, the phenomenon is expanding in the form of a spin-off to Diana Gabaldon's treasured franchise.
Blood of My Blood is set to air to audiences on August 8. The series will follow two new love stories, one which starts on the battlefields of the Western Front during World War I and the other in the meadows of Scotland in the early 18th century. It will unravel the tale of both Jamie and Claire Fraser's parents.

Fans have already been sharing their hopes for the spin-off. One fan stated: "Jamie stated in season one that it was normal for husbands to hit their wives to 'discipline' them, and Jamie expected that afterwards things would just go back to normal, and the wife would be chastened but not hold a grudge."
They continued: "If that truly was the norm, and Jamie really did experience that with his mother and father, I hope the show doesn't shy away from showing it. Ellen should be her own character, not a proto-Claire, expecting to be treated according to standards that don't exist in her time."
Many of the Outlander fanbase, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's original award-winning novels, are hoping the characters bring as much on-screen energy as both Claire and Jamie did.
"I hope they found some actors with amazing chemistry because they will live in the shadow of the original couple's chemistry. I already feel bad for the comparisons that are to come, but I am also really excited about new material," gushed one fan.

You can check out at any time. More info Dick and Angel Strawbridge, the beloved couple who have been entertaining us on screen for over a decade, along with their children, are creating more enchanting memories. The popular pair took to Instagram today (August 10) to share a collection of photos from their incredible holiday in Australia. The family can be seen posing together in charming photos and enjoying the local wildlife, with kangaroos and snakes making appearances in the pictures. Posting on The Strawbridge Family account, they captioned it: "Thank you Australia for the magical memories. More to come on our adventures.. but we had to share some of our favourite pictures. "We have hugged, laughed and swapped stories with so many.. it's really been truly amazing. Thank you for the love. Until the next time!" Fans rushed to the comments section, many expressing surprise at how much their children, Arthur and Dorothy, have grown since viewers last saw them on Escape to the Chateau, reports the Mirror. One fan shared: "One, I just want to cry. Looking at Dorothy and Arthur and how they have grown. I've watched your beautiful family from the beginning of the Chateau show (which I miss). They are beautiful. Dorothy is gorgeous and Arthur is exceedingly handsome." One social media user remarked: "I cannot believe how much Dorothy and Arthur have grown. I remember how little they were. I watched your TV programme from the very beginning." Another agreed, saying: "Surreal to see how grown up the kids are considering we're still seeing reruns of the Chateau when Arthur was 9! So glad you've enjoyed our beautiful country." A fourth chimed in: "Cannot believe how much the kids have grown! Hope you all had a wonderful time." Escape to the Chateau followed the family's journey as they purchased and renovated the 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson, in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France. The show first aired on Channel 4 in 2016 and boasted an impressive 50 episodes across nine series before it concluded in December 2022. Explaining their decision to wrap up the show, the couple told HELLO! in 2023: "It was two years ago that we decided to end the Escape to the Chateau series. "We made the decision because the kids are growing older, and all the parallel activity was not sustainable at this level. We are doers and we are never going to stop completely, but we're also protecting them. "Arthur is starting senior school and the pressure on our little ones is phenomenal. When he goes there, people may have heard that his parents have done stuff on television." Angel added: "Up until this year, we were not on French television at our request because while we are the British family that bought the Chateau in the village, we are very much completely normal."

Several other actors, including Kim Tserkezie and Juliet Cadzow, will also appear when the revamped series airs on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer. But Juliet could have a different role this time around when the series hits TV screens. The 74-year-old played Edie McCredie in the popular children's television programme from 2002 to 2005. She was one of the main cast members and was the driver and mechanic of the Yellow Daisy bus. But this time around, Edie could be doing something very different. Wonderful to be back on Mull filming Balamory Juliet Cadzow Snaps shared on Instagram appear to show Juliet driving a boat while filming on Tobermory on the Isle of Mull for the last two weeks. She was dressed in a blue outfit, which was Edie's favourite colour, and which also looked a little like a delivery costume. She was also spotted on a yellow and blue boat, which was called Sea Dasher, with Edie McCredie written on a sign on the front alongside an icon of a little open parcel. Tobermory Bay Tours shared photos on social media of Juliet filming on the boat alongside Andrew Agnew. Balamory actor in major career change that is worlds away from the popular noughties BBC kids show The post, on Instagram, said: "A few more behind-the-scenes antics from yesterday with the Balamory crew. "You'll have to wait until next year to find out what pc plum has spotted through the binoculars. "Who's going to be tuning in to watch?" They also shared a video of one of their staff on the bright yellow boat and teased that it was actually their vessel Twilight that was used for Sea Dasher. Tobermory Bay Tours posted yesterday: "Today has definitely been one of a kind! "It's not every day you get to be a 'stunt' double, but Twilight stole the show starring as Edie McCredie's boat, Sea Dasher." Juliet shared her own snaps from her time on Mull for the filming of the reboot show. Posting on Instagram, she said: "Wonderful to be back on Mull filming Balamory". Fans flocked to the comments to share their excitement at the new reboot. One person said: "Wonderful! Cannot wait for another generation of people to love this". Another added: "This is amazing!!! Can't wait for my kids to watch it". Someone else wrote: "Really happy there is another series of ballamory. You all do an amazing job, and can't wait to see the new version of it. Well done Julie". CAST REVEALED THE cast for the upcoming reboot was revealed last month, and fans were instantly excited. However, many spotted that original cast member Rodd Christensen was missing from the line-up. Rodd, from Las Vegas, played Spencer the Painter in the popular children's television programme from 2002 to 2005. One viewer wrote: "Why isn't Spencer (Rodd Christensen) in these photos? Is he going to be in the show?" A third added: "My kids absolutely loved Spencer, we're gutted he's not coming back." Another said: "Will Spencer be a part of the reboot?" Rodd, who now lives in Las Vegas with his family, explained to a fan on Instagram that he would not be involved at this time. He said: "I would've loved to, but I won't be a part of this reboot at this moment." But the new series is set to blend familiar faces with a host of new characters, offering preschoolers a 'joyful mix of stories, comedy, songs and adventures'. Brand new characters include scientist and inventor Ava Potts, played by Danielle Jam, local vet Dr Ollie Carl Spencer, who lives with his two children and the Harbour Master, played by William Andrews. At its heart remains the charming fictional town of Balamory and its lively inhabitants, where brightly-coloured houses cluster around a scenic harbour and life revolves around the nursery school and its caring teacher. And a fourth shared: "I'm really happy to hear that Balamory will make a comeback next year, Juliet!" While a fifth chimed in: "This is very exciting!" Filming will take place both in the studio in Glasgow and on location in Tobermory. The real-life Isle of Mull town inspired the show's iconic setting. Kate Morton, Head of Commissioning BBC Children's and Education, said: "It's wonderful to see some of the original cast returning alongside new faces, creating a perfect mix of nostalgia and discovery for families to enjoy together. "This vibrant new series will delight both children and the grown-ups who remember it fondly." The original Balamory was also shown in Australia, Canada, the US and Hong Kong. 8 Balamory is being filmed in Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull, as well as the studio in Glasgow Credit: Alamy 8 Juliet shared snaps of her time in Mull with fans on Instagram Credit: @JulietCadzow / Instagram 8 The show originally ran from 2002 until 2005 Credit: BBC
