Report – Inter Milan Eyeing Up Roma Midfielder As Talks For Atalanta Talisman Stall
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri may change their strategy if they're unable to sign Lookman.
Inter Milan have been trying to sign for a better part of a month now.
However, as Sky Sport Italia note, there have been no contacts between the Nerazzurri and Atalanta for a week now.
Therefore, Inter now feel that their pursuit of Lookman has completely stalled.

In the meantime, Inter are considering a change in strategy, reports Sky Sport Italia.
The Nerazzurri have been very happy with the performances by Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito in training.
Furthermore, Inter have plenty of midfielders who can play in an attacking midfield role. These include Davide Frattesi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Piotr Zielinski, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicola Zalewski.
Therefore, Inter may well have enough options to fill the attacking position in Cristian Chivu's 3-4-2-1 formation.
On the other hand, there are persistent doubts about whether the Nerazzurri have enough defensive steel and athleticism in holding midfield.
Therefore, reports Sky Sport Italia, Inter could instead shift gears to target Roma midfielder Manu Kone.

Lennon Miller has sealed his move to Serie A side Udinese in a record deal believed to be worth around £5m to Motherwell. The deal until 2030 eclipses the £3.25m received from Celtic for David Turnbull in October 2020. Scotland cap Miller and his entire family flew out to Italy yesterday, and celebrated step-mum Maria's birthday today, while the midfielder underwent his medical. READ MORE: Lennon Miller 'jets out for Udinese medical' as Motherwell exit nears READ MORE: Motherwell keeper wants to keep fans happy with cup progress Speaking to the club website about his exit, 18-year-old Wishaw ace Miller admitted the Steelmen will hold a special place in his heart, but he is looking forward to a new chapter in his young career. He said: 'Motherwell is all I've ever known. 'It's been my home since I was a young boy, and I've achieved my dream of playing in the first-team, playing in the big stadiums and wearing the armband. 'My thanks goes to all the supporters for taking me in. The support up and down the country every week has been exceptional. For all the coaches I've worked under and who have helped me improve as a player and as a man, thank you. I simply wouldn't be here without their guidance and support. 'To all the players who I've played alongside with, and for all the kind words they've said about me, thank you. My teammates have helped me through everything and allowed me to play with freedom. 'I want to also express my appreciation to all the staff behind the scenes at the club. Some are still there, some have moved on, but they all work so hard to keep the place going. You may not see first-hand the hard work and sacrifices they make, but having been in the building all these years, I can't thank them enough for everything they do. 'This is a new chapter in my life, and I move on filled with excitement. I may not be at Fir Park to cheer on the boys, but I'll be watching and following from afar. The club has a big place in my heart, and I will always be grateful. I wish all the lads the best for the rest of the season. Mon the Well.' Chief Executive Brian Caldwell added: 'The time was right for all parties for Lennon to make the next move in his career,' 'He is an example of the pathway and model that exists at Motherwell and is a huge success story for everyone associated with the club. The former Coltness High School pupil last played for Motherwell in a 1-1 draw at Ross County on May 18 to end season 2024-25, having picked up a knock in a pre-season friendly against Carlisle United on July 8, missing the whole of the Premier Sports Cup group stages. Celtic transfer news as Giuseppe Ambrosino in limbo and Adam Idah concern raised
Reported Celtic target Giuseppe Ambrosino looks one step closer to leaving Napoli after the striker was left out of a pre-season training camp. The Italy U21 star has returned to Naples after spending last season with Frosinone in Serie B where he chipped in with five goals and four assists. Ambrosino is said to be on Celtic's radar and with just a year remaining on his contract with Scudetto winners Napoli, is expected to move on this summer, with Serie A new boys Cremonese also chasing the 21-year-old. READ MORE: Louis Munteanu breaks Celtic transfer silence as striker names exactly when 'necessary' change will happen READ MORE: Daizen Maeda in transfer hint amid Brentford swirl as Celtic face £6m price drop with three deals required And according to Il Mattino (via Ambrosino is one of six fringe players who Antonio Conte has not included for a pre-season trip to Dimaro in the north of the country. Despite adding Callum Osmand and Shin Yamada - who is poised to join the Hoops from Kawasaki Frontale imminently - Brendan Rodgers' is still on the hunt for more quality in the forward deparment. Number nine Adam Idah recently declared that he has what it takes to hit the 30 goal mark at Parkhead next season but that claim has been described as 'bold' by one Celtic hero who reckons getting another frontman in the door is imperative. John Hartson also believes Idah will have a job getting in the team ahead of last season's player of the year Daizen Maeda, who scored goals for fun after being moved into a central role. Speaking to The Celtic Way, he said: "As statements go, it is a bold one from Adam Idah as I think Celtic need another striker to be added to their ranks. "Celtic cannot afford to rest on their laurels, and adding quality keeps players on their toes. They will start the season in four competitions. The team needs to strengthen every year, especially if they want to progress and have another good run like they did last season in the Champions League. "If Idah gets the game time, he could score 30 goals a season, as he has shown that he can do it at this level and in the Champions League. "My main concern for Idah would be getting enough playing time this season. I was a bit like him as I wanted to play in every game, but in the world that we live in now and in these heady days of rest and recovery and sports science, it is rare for any footballer to participate in every match because coaches want to protect them from burnout. "Rodgers has a real decision on his hands here as Maeda was a revelation last season, and because of that, he may well be the preferred starting striker over Idah. "Maeda's numbers were incredible in terms of goals and assists. A lot of Celtic supporters might prefer to see Maeda remain as the starting centre-forward in place of Idah." Meanwhile, former Hoops star Giorgios Giakoumakis has seen a move to the MLS knocked back. The Greece international - who netted 26 times in 57 matches for Celtic - left Atlanta United to join Mexican outfit Cruzl Azul last summer. And a report from Mexican outlet am states that Cruz Azul have rejected a bid from Charlotte FC for the 30-year-old.

Celtic-linked Giuseppe Ambrosino has made a U-turn on his future at Napoli. The Italy Under-21 youth star is one of many strikers thought to be on the radar of Parkhead scouts. However, Celts aren't the only club keeping tabs on the youngster, who is out of contract next summer. The 21-year-old has been training on his own in Naples after being left out of Antonio Conte's pre-season training camp. But Italian outlet Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports that Ambrosino is determined to stay put and fight for his future in Naples. It's said that academy graduate is willing to stick around and compete with Romelu Lukaku and Lorenzo Lucca for the centre forward spot. Cremonese were confident of securing a loan deal with an option to buy but Ambrosino has now moved the goalposts. The in-demand attacker spent last season with Frosinone in Serie B where he chipped in with five goals and four assists. Meanwhile another forward Celtic have been linked with has dropped out of CFR Cluj's Europa League squad. Romanian hitman Louis Munteanu netted 25 goals last term and was reportedly the subject of a Hoops bid in January. French sides Nice and Lille have also been monitoring the goal machine - who previously insisted that he's happy in Romania. However, it emerged tonight that the 23-year-old has not travelled to Portugal for Thursday's Europa League showdown with Braga. That prompted rumours that Munteanu could be edging towards an exit. But Cluj president Cristi Balaj quelled the speculation by revealing Munteanu had been ruled out through injury. He told DigiSport: "Louis Munteanu has a minor muscle problem. It's a contracture. When you have a contracture and you don't follow the treatment for a few days, you risk a muscle tear."
