An Inbetweeners icon and his wife have confirmed they'll be joining the Celebrity Gogglebox line-up in a video shared on the programme's official Instagram page
An iconic The Inbetweeners actor and his wife have signed up for the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox, with the duo confirming the exciting news on the programme's official Instagram page. James Buckley and his wife Clair sat on the sofa as they filmed a video for fans as they announced the news.
"Hi guys, how's it going? We are joining the Gogglebox family. We're going to be watching some great TV and some not so great TV. And you'll be able to join us on Friday on Channel 4 at 9pm." The happy couple have been making fans laugh on their podcast, At Home with the Buckleys, so fans were delighted at the news.
"This is great news," one happy user commented while another posted: "Oh wow, look forward to seeing you, after the absence of the vlogs."
"Literally, the best news!" an excited user added while one commented: "Best news I've had today, you will be brilliant." The actor and Clair, who met on X (Twitter), have been married for 13 years and share two children together.
Clair previously opened up about watching The Inbetweeners when she first met James in 2010. "I knew of the show and what it was but I didn't tune in. I didn't watch it, which might have been a good thing,' she said to The Sun at the time.
'I did watch a couple of episodes after we met but to this day I don't think I've seen every single episode. James and Jay are nothing alike thank God.'
Meanwhile, Rylan Clark also confirmed he will be making a return to the series. He will be joined by his mum Linda, with the presenter confirming the news on social media.
"We are back on Gogglebox. Make sure you watch us on Friday, watching TV with you!" he said. Rylan previously admitted he feared saying the wrong thing on camera.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: 'My mum forgets the cameras are there. Within five minutes of us starting, she's gone. And that's when I worry.
'She is very much herself. But there's being yourself and then there's taking it so far that you could ruin your son's career!
'I can't repeat the things she says. I'm always like, 'You can't say that, mum'. The s*** she comes out with… if they were aired, I wouldn't have a career. I'm going to have to buy a gag off the internet.'

Sir Rod Stewart cancels US concerts amid recovery from flu
Sir Rod is due to play the coveted tea-time legends slot at the Somerset festival on Sunday June 29. He took to Instagram to announce that he was 'devastated' to have to cancel or reschedule the six US shows, due to take place in the next eight days. 'I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in June as I continue to recover from the flu,' he wrote. 'So sorry my friends. A post shared by Sir Rod Stewart (@sirrodstewart) He signed off 'Sir Rod' along with the heartbreak emoji. He also listed the four shows he was cancelling – in Las Vegas and Stateline, Nevada – as well as two he plans to reschedule – in California. The 80-year-old musician recently announced he will reunite with his former Faces bandmate Ronnie Wood for his much-anticipated set at Glastonbury. He told That Peter Crouch Podcast he was only due to play for an hour and a quarter on the Pyramid Stage. 'But I've asked them 'Please, another 15 minutes' because I play for over two hours every night and it's nothing,' he said. In 2024, he promised he would not retire but confirmed his 2025 European and North American shows would bring an end to his 'large-scale world tours', with his next slate to be held at more intimate venues. Sir Rod's best known solo songs include Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Every Beat Of My Heart, and Maggie May. Last month he was presented with a prestigious lifetime achievement award by five of his children at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit
Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.
