EAF dedicates Gulf Beach Games achievements to UAE's leadership
The Emirates Aerosports Federation (EAF) has dedicated the achievements of the 3rd Gulf Beach Games 2025 currently being held in Oman to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai and Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes and to the people of the UAE.
UAE national paragliding team star Abdullah Nasser Al Hammadi bagged two gold medals at the Gulf Beach Games in Muscat.
The UAE paragliding team returned from Oman on Monday, and Yousef Hassan Al Hammadi, Vice President of the Emirates Aerosports Federation, expressed his great happiness with this achievement.
Hammadi extended his congratulations to Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, as well as to Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, Ghanem Mubarak Rashid Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, Sheikh Suhail Bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the Ministry of Sports, Dr. Ali Mohammed Al Shumaili, Deputy Head of Mission at the UAE Embassy in Muscat, Nasser Al Neyadi, President of the Emirates Aerosports Federation, and Mohammed Bin Darwish, Executive Director of the National Olympic Committee, all of whom were present in Oman.
The UAE delegation is participating with a team of 77 male and female athletes, representing the country in eight beach sports disciplines including football, handball, volleyball, athletics, tent pegging, sailing, swimming, and paragliding.

The general assembly of the Airsports Federation of Asia unanimously elected the UAE's, Yousef Hassan Al Hammadi, as the new president of the federation for the upcoming four-year term. The general assembly meeting was held at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai, with the participation of presidents and representatives from various national federations, including the UAE (represented by Mohamed Youssef Abdulrahman, Secretary-General of the Emirates Aerosports Federation), Oman, Kuwait, Iraq, Libya, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Laos. The meeting also witnessed the election of the new Executive Committee members of the Airsports Federation of Asia, who are: Andy Joe (Hong Kong and Vietnam), Joe Rao (Philippines), Arsy Nazo (Indonesia), Graham Hill (Australia), Noureddine Hakimi (Malaysia), Ahmed Al-Shallahi (Kuwait), Salem Said Al Jamoudi (Oman) and Hareth Tahseen (Iraq) Rao, the president of the Philippine Federation and the most senior delegate present, praised Hammadi's election, affirming that he fully deserves the role due to his outstanding leadership in organizing world-class championships hosted by the UAE in recent years. Shallahi also Hammadi, noting that his victory is a win for Kuwait and for air sports both continentally and internationally. Nazo stated that Al Hammadi combines experience, wisdom, and effective leadership skills—qualities that will strengthen the federation's position in the coming years. Said added: 'We congratulate the Emirates Aerosports Federation and congratulate ourselves on this unanimous decision, which reflects the UAE's leading status in this sport that is loved by youth around the world.'

Sheikh Hamdan witnesses launch of ‘National Service Athlete Programme'
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, witnessed the launch of the 'National Service Athlete Programme,' a joint initiative by the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Sports. The programme is designed to support elite Emirati athletes enlisted in national service by integrating them into tailored sports programmes. It enables them to continue their training and skill development during their service period and to participate in competitions that impact their international rankings or qualifications for major global tournaments. The launch was held at a special event organised by the Ministry of Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence. The event was attended by Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, and Mohamed Bin Mubarak Bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs. During the event, Sheikh Hamdan met with recruits forming the programme's first cohort. Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed that supporting elite athletes is a national priority aligned with the UAE leadership's vision of empowering Emiratis across all sectors, including sports, which plays a pivotal role in shaping character and enhancing the nation's global profile by nurturing young national talent.
