There's No Such Thing As Too Much Fashion When You're Cardi B
If there's anyone who takes fashion seriously, it's Cardi B.
The Grammy-winning rapper released the second single from her upcoming album Am I the Drama? at midnight on Thursday with a new accompanying—and very flashy—music video. The track titled 'Imaginary Playerz' (which samples the 1997 Jay Z song of the same name) is a total ode to the world of high fashion complete with shady zingers that could only come courtesy of Cardi herself. The song's visual even incorporated some of the show-stopping couture outfits that the star wore during her most recent stint at Paris Fashion week earlier this year, and provides fans a closer look at all that goes into being a reigning fashion queen.
Throughout the three-and-a-half-minute visual we see Cardi B wear a number of looks from famed couture houses including Schiaparelli and Rahul Mishra while reminding us all that we could never be on her level.
'I got the hottest s—t, hop out, poppin' it / They say I walk around lookin' like a compliment / Shut up, stop whinin', Cardi still shinin',' she raps on the song, speaking directly to her critics and haters. 'H—s kept complainin', so I copped more diamonds and more archive, vintage couture on me / I got more Gaultier than Jean probably.'
Cardi ensured the single art for the new song also stayed on theme. The rapper wore a sweeping, vintage white fur coat with fresh off the runway platform boots from Marc Jacobs. 'I was wondering who would be the first to wear these boots 🤍,' the designer commented on Cardi B's Instagram post, giving his official stamp of approval.
For now, the official visual for 'Imaginary Playerz' should feed Cardi's "Bardi Gang" until the official release of Am I the Drama? on September 19. We have a feeling more memorable fashion moments are on the way.

Halsey Reveals These Two Fan-Favorite ‘Badlands' Tracks Are Getting a Music Video 10 Years Later
Halsey fans, it's time to dust off your blue wigs. The singer is revisiting two fan-favorite Badlands tracks a full decade after their original release, announcing Friday (Aug. 15) that she'll soon be releasing a double feature music video for 'Drive' and 'Gasoline.' In a video teaser for the project posted on Instagram, Halsey appears in their signature light blue hair from the 2015 Badlands era, looking solemn while driving in a pink convertible through familiar, grungey terrain. At one point, the musician appears in a bikini as a pink hue saturates the screen; in another shot, she runs dramatically through an apartment hallway while all the lights flicker. And while Halsey has released four albums since — including 2024's The Great Impersonator — Badlands has always held a special place in her heart. 'It's been a little surreal to watch the perception of the album evolve so drastically over time,' Halsey wrote on X on the album's eighth anniversary in 2023. 'But. I always knew what it was. In addition to celebrating a decade of Badlands, the star is currently fresh off of touring in support of Great Impersonator (although the nightly setlist often changed and featured songs from Halsey's past albums). The artist had been slated to perform a final show in Istanbul on Aug. 28, but recently canceled the performance while citing logistical issues. 'your safety is the most important thing to me,' Halsey explained Friday on X, addressing upset fans who were planning to go to the canceled show. Kaytranada Returns With New Album ‘Ain't No Damn Way'
For the second summer in a row, Haitian-Canadian producer Kaytranada is getting people dancing with a new studio album. The Grammy-winning DJ has released his fourth album Ain't No Damn Way!, the follow-up to last year's Timeless. Kaytranada gave little warning for the release, announcing the LP earlier this week and dropping lead single 'Space Invader' shortly thereafter. Like with Timeless, Kaytranada plays with a wide range of sounds and rhythms on the project, from more upbeat tracks like 'Championship' and 'Don't Worry Babe / I Got U Babe' to laid-back offerings like 'Things' and 'Shine Your Light For We.' He even samples TLC's 'Let's Do It Again' on closing track 'Do It! (Again!).' In recent years, Kaytranada has fully stepped into his power, unafraid to create beats or make musical tweaks that he feel might not resonate with listeners or collaborators. 'I always used to be very shy in the studio and sometimes let the artists just do their thing because I didn't want to correct them or anything. It took me a while to understand, OK, I got to be the one that says 'Do it like this,'" he told Rolling Stone last year. "I don't have a leader mentality. I'm learning to do that now.' Now, Kaytranada is 'trying to make Grammy-winning albums.' 'I just want to be remembered as one of the greats in terms of producing, not only dance and electronic but also just production in general,' he told Billboard. Kaytranada hits the road with Justice on a co-headlining tour across North America this fall. It all kicks off Oct. 16 in Vancouver and wraps up Nov. 16 in Miami. Before then, fans can listen to the producer featured on Teyana Taylor's forthcoming album Escape Room, due out next week.
