Calhanoglu's future has been among the major talking points this summer.
Indeed, the 31-year-old has emerged as a concrete transfer target for Galatasaray.
Furthermore, the player has never tried to play down such rumors, fueling the Turkish club's optimism.
On the other hand, Inter consider Hakan Calhanoglu a valuable first-team asset.
Therefore, they've slapped a significant €35 million price tag on his shoulders.
Meanwhile, the reigning Super Lig holders have refused to offer more than €10m.
As a result, negotiations between the clubs have stalled, boosting Inter's chances of holding onto their star midfielder.

Asked whether there's any news on Calhanoglu, Marotta replied: 'No, he's fully our player, so he'll be back as soon as he's called up.'
Then, he discussed Inter's interest in Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni.
Wanted by Inter and Liverpool, Leoni is among Europe's most highly-rated talents, hence a massive €40m price tag.
'He's a good talent, but he belongs to Parma, not us,' Marotta stated.
In addition to several incoming deals, Inter are working on multiple departures.
Valentin Carboni is reportedly on the verge of joining Genoa on a season-long loan without a buyout option.

'Yes, the destination is right, with a great coach like Vieira,' Marotta confirmed.
Like Carboni, Sebastiano Esposito is on his way out.
However, the 23-year-old striker could quit the club permanently, with Fiorentina and Cagliari in the mix.
'We'll see, we'll see, soon, very soon,' Marotta was clear.
Finally, the Inter chief offered his verdict on Inter's immediate future.
'Maximum optimism, absolutely,' he claimed. 'We are Inter, so we must always look to the future with great optimism.'

Report – Al-Nassr Sound Out Move For Inter Milan Midfielder
Al-Nassr have reportedly sounded out a move with the entourage of Inter Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu. This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews. Galatasaray had reportedly been keen to sign the 31-year-old former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder. However, the Gazzetta report that the Istanbul giants did not even make Inter an official offer. A deal for Calhanoglu would simply have been out of reach financially for Galatasaray. For one thing, the Turkish international was insisting on a wage increase from the €7.5 million net per season plus add-ons he earns at Inter. And he wanted at least a three-year deal. Then, convincing Inter with an offer would have been no mean feat. Reports indicate that Inter would want a fee in the region of €35-40 million for Calhanoglu. Report – Inter Milan Wouldn't Consider Offers Below €35M For Ex AC Milan Star This Summer
Inter Milan reportedly wouldn't consider offers below €35 million for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu this summer. This according to Turkish outlet Guerin Sportivo, via FCInterNews. Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu stayed at Inter Milan this summer. He did so in spite of a lot of transfer rumours, though. (Photo by) According to Guerin Sportivo, Inter wouldn't have even considered offers below €35-40 million for Calhanoglu. The Turkish international remains an important player for Inter. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri would have to have signed a replacement. And that likely would have required an outlay of at least €50 million. For example, Inter were targeting Ederson as a replacement for Calhanoglu, Guerin Sportivo note. And Atalanta would have wanted around €70 million for the Brazilian.
