Christine McGuinnnes 'had fling with soap star after meeting at awards event'

Daily Mirror4 days ago
Christine McGuinness is said to have enjoyed a brief fling with a soap star, as the pair seemed to have instant chemistry after meeting at a glitzy awards event
Christine McGuinness reportedly had a "fun fling" with a soap star after the pair hit it off at an awards ceremony. The reality TV star and mystery soap star are believed to have partied with one another and had instant chemistry.
Blackpool-born Christine, 37, has been open about her dating life since her split from husband Paddy McGuinness in 2023. While the former Real Housewives of Cheshire star had been set to appear on E4's Celebs Go Dating, she later pulled out of the show, saying she wasn't ready to date publicly.

Most recently, the star has said she is scared of joining dating apps due to the fear of not knowing who would turn up if she agreed to meet with a person from an app. But it appears that she is happy to meet people naturally, including the mystery soap star.

Sources have claimed that Christine and the TV star "had a fling" as well as fun together after meeting one another. The pair are reported to have partied with one another, before things between them ultimately fizzled out.
"Christine was single at the time and they really enjoyed the evening of the awards bash," a source said. They went on to tell The Sun: "There was a strong chemistry between them and they shared some messages, but it never went any further after that." Christine split from former Top Gear host Paddy in 2023, after 11 years of marriage.

However, the couple still live together at their home in Cheshire, for the sake of their children, but at opposite ends of the house. Speaking about dating on the BBC Situationships with Sophie and Christine podcast, she recalled her horror over the possibility of joining apps such as Tinder or Hinge.
It came after the mention of "catfishing" and Sophie recalling a date with someone who was "not at all" how she had expected them to look based on the photos that had been on his profile. Christine asked: "Do you not think to like FaceTime or check that the person is who they say they are?" Sophie, who's now in a relationship, replied by saying that she would "never do it" and that she hasn't been on dating apps for years.

Her co-host Christine then shared: "I would be petrified of who could turn up and who am I talking to and yeah ... no, it scares me." Sophie went on to tell her: "I think they are gonna go out of fashion. I think everyone's getting fed up."
Sharing her thoughts, Christine added: "I think it should come with like ... almost like a TripAdvisor ... like a review thing. Maybe like reviews from people's exes or something." She later joked that all reviews on her, would be five stars.
But Christine later said she has struggled with the concept of dating again, saying: "It's part of the problem. I mean, for me, it's something I've really struggled with is ... the idea of dating and not going well, then how do you get out of it? Cause I wouldn't want to upset somebody."
Following her and Paddy's split, the TV star, who has fallen into "situationships", with the lines between friendship and a romantic bond blurring. However, she did have one date, which she says was her first ever, but it took months of her and the person communicating in order for her to feel comfortable meeting them.

But now the cast have been told that bosses have changed their mind and it won't be going ahead. A source said: 'They had started filming for them, and all the cast had been booked in for all the filming dates as they were filming their to-camera VTs. "There were 10-15 filming dates in the diary across the whole cast. "Then at the last minute, Paramount had a change of heart and decided they didn't want them anymore." The move has angered some of the cast after they cleared their schedule to be on the show, only for it to be cancelled. "The cast are all fuming as they were getting paid more money to do them, and they had all booked out their time," they continued. "It's not gone down well at all. "Now it looks like Kyle's wedding and Marnie's birth will just be wrapped up into the main series, rather than being two additional specials.' The Sun have reached out to Paramount for comment. Geordie Shore's Sophie Kasaei reveals her new look face after getting her filler dissolved We previously reported that bosses had hoped to build on the show's success by launching the spin-offs. A show source said at the time: 'The first one will focus on Kyle's lavish wedding to his wife Vicky, which took place in Rome in June. "It was initially going to feature in the main series itself, but there was so much drama from filming, producers couldn't squeeze it all into the regular run so they decided to build a special spin-off around it instead. "There will also be a second spin off which will follow Marnie as she gives birth to her third child later this year. "It's her first girl after having two sons and bosses wanted to capture all the magic and excitement as she and husband Casey welcome their little princess.' Bosses kicked off their brand new spin-off strand, Geordie Stories, last year, with Charlotte Crosby being handed her own full-length spin-off show entitled, Charlotte's New Baby. It followed her as she welcomed her second child, Pixi, with her partner Jake Ankers as well as continuing to grow her business and face the daily pressures of life in the public eye. Nathan Henry also launched his own solo show, Nathan & Dad, which followed him as he dealt with his dad's cancer diagnosis. The next full-length series of Geordie Shore is expected to launch in January 2026 with the spin-offs likely to follow soon after. The cast jetted off to Portugal last month to film the 26th series of the show and there was plenty of drama and shenanigans when the cast reunited and two familiar faces made a shocking comeback. Original show star Gaz Beadle made a surprise comeback after years of shunning big-money offers to make a return. Aaron Chalmers also headed out to the villa in Lisbon as he returned to filming for the first time in three years. The next series of the programme will also see James Tindale and Ricci Guarnaccio come face-to-face after being locked in a heated feud with Ricci telling The Sun he planned to "annihilate him" on the next series. Abbie Holborn will also be introducing her TOWIE star boyfriend, Jack Rigden, to the group as he makes his reality TV comeback after eight years. 3 Marnie was also set to star in the second spin-off about motherhood Credit: Instagram @sophiekasaei_

Liam Gallagher's secret 'health kick' drink fuelling his incredible sounding voice for Oasis tour

Oasis fans say it's the best Liam's voice has sounded since the nineties as the Gallagher brothers are currently performing across the UK on their reunion tour. Liam Gallagher has been making sure to regularly drink one liquid to keep his voice in check while performing on the Oasis Live 25' reunion tour. The 52-year-old, who used to be a heavy boozer on tour, emerged on stage during one of the band's Heaton Park gigs in Manchester at the weekend holding a glass of apple cider vinegar tea. ‌ Fans have been praising Liam's vocals since the tour kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, with some saying it is the best he's sounded since the nineties. Gallagher has previously spoken about drinking the vinegar concoction, which is mixed with honey, to help his voice, The Sun reports. ‌ He said: "I drink a lot of funky drinks. I have this apple cider vinegar, the one that everyone bangs on about. Apparently, it's great for everything. Mam has it for arthritis and it's really good for her. ‌ "So I have vinegar, some honey and then I have some turmeric, some cayenne pepper, a squirt of lemon, hot water, stir it round and drink it. "It's really good for when you get a hoarse voice. I've got a thyroid problem - Hashimoto's disease - so I can get a really hoarse voice. ‌ "It makes you tired and your bones are creaky, but you have this drink and it makes you a bit Jumping Jack Flash." He continued: "It's very f*****g boring, it doesn't get you pissed, but you can have other stuff as well." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The pair have played a total of five dates on their UK tour so far, with their final two nights at Heaton Park coming this weekend on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 of July after five shows in their home city of Manchester. ‌ The Gallagher brothers next stop on their tour after Heaton Park is London's Wembley Stadium where they will play another five shows on July 25, 26 and 30 and August 2 and 3. The much-loved TV presenter, who died in 2023 aged 67, lived in a now-for-sale seven-bedroom farmhouse in Kent with husband Andre Portasio - which has had its for sale price slashed several times. His widow has now slashed the price on the property, which is up for sale, following a row with neighbours after Paul's passing. Last June, The Sun revealed Brazilian ballet dancer Andre had lost his battle with his neighbours. Paul's widow wanted to turn a security hut on the grounds of their home into a separate two-bedroom house THREE times bigger. He was later granted permission to turn it into a holiday let instead of a bigger house. In October 2024, a year after Paul's death, Andre decided to put the posh pad up for sale for £3.5m. It was on the market for £3.5m, then £2.65m as we reported - and now has been dropped even more. The Sun can now reveal that the lavish pad is now up for sale for £2.4m. The house boasts of four reception rooms, a large kitchen and breakfast room and a master bedroom with dressing room and en suite. It also has four further bedrooms with an en suite and a family bathroom. Paul O'Grady's widower shares final video of star taken just 20 MINUTES before his death Also on the grounds is a cottage that has been turned into a dance studio and gym. The cottage also has a kitchen and a steam room inside. There is a second timber cottage, too, which is described as a "charming and whimsical building". Outdoors is just as amazing as indoors, and boasts of having a huge swimming pool, a barn, stables, an orchard and paddocks. Four years ago, before his death, Lily Savage star Paul was given the go-ahead for a ground keeper's outbuilding, gym and dance studio at his rural estate. But following his death in March 2023, his widower inherited the estate and launched a bid to turn the security hut into a separate two-bedroom house. He applied to the local council for a "change of use" of the security lodge which has an office, kitchen and shower, and lies next to the family pet cemetery. But neighbours blasted his plans and accused him of trying to build a new home "by the back door". In a letter of objection, a neighbour said: "The present application is in direct contravention of the original planning conditions and in my view amounts to an attempt to gain planning permission for a significant residential development by the back door, and one which will no doubt be sold on separately to the main building. "Given that the estate is very large, there surely must still be a need for a groundskeeper and gardeners and, indeed, for the workshop that was constructed for them." Andre later applied to transform the lodge into a holiday let. He received the go-ahead by Ashford Council. Planning officer Sally Hodgson said: "Central government guidance supports sustainable business, enterprise and tourism in rural areas, both through the conversion of existing buildings and well-designed new buildings. "This is endorsed by the Local Plan which seeks to encourage the sustainable growth of tourism." Late great TV star Paul bought the seven-bedroom farmhouse for £650,000 in 1999.
