Diablo and Berserk join forces in a shocking new crossover
In an unexpected but exciting move,
Blizzard Entertainment
has teamed up with the legendary manga Berserk for a brand-new crossover event. The collaboration brings the dark and intense world of Kentaro Miura's manga into both Diablo Immortal and Diablo IV, two popular games from the Diablo franchise. This is the first time Blizzard has ever worked with a non-Blizzard IP, making this partnership a big deal for both fans of video games and manga.
For those unfamiliar, Berserk is a brutal dark fantasy series that follows the story of Guts, a warrior with a tragic past, fighting demons and betrayal in a cursed world. The manga is known for its deep storytelling, stunning art, and emotional weight. Now, players will get the chance to experience this world in-game with special cosmetics, bosses, and gameplay inspired by Berserk.
The crossover event is split across two games:
Diablo Immortal's event 'Struggler's Path' runs from May 1 to May 30
Diablo IV's event begins on May 6 and will run until the end of Season 8

In Diablo IV, players can become the Black Swordsman himself. Starting May 6, slaying powerful enemies may drop Behelits — strange, egg-like items from Berserk lore that can be traded for exclusive rewards. These include legendary items like the Brand of Sacrifice, Skull Knight's Mount Armour, and the Hawk's Destiny back trophy, inspired by the fallen warrior Griffith.
Once you collect all Berserk-themed rewards, you'll unlock the Od of the Berserker Emblem, a badge that symbolises strength, sacrifice, and survival — themes central to both Diablo and Berserk.
There's also a new in-game shop collection, where players can buy iconic armours:
The Berserker Armour for the Barbarian class
The Skull Knight set for Necromancer
The Hawk of Light and The Struggler for Rogues
And a cute (but creepy) Schnoz Pet Bundle, featuring a mysterious creature from Berserk's astral world
Players can also ride into battle with the Warhorse of the Hawk, complete with themed mount trophies linked to the Band of the Hawk and the evil Godhand.

In Diablo Immortal, the 'Struggler's Path' event lets players fight Nosferatu Zodd, a powerful, immortal warrior from Berserk. There's a special mode called Struggler's Bane, which takes players into the Eclipse — a horrifying moment from the manga when the Band of the Hawk is betrayed and sacrificed.
New Legendary Gems like the Crimson Behelit add powerful effects during battle, and players can also unlock Berserk-inspired weapon skins, Golem familiars, and armour sets for Guts and Griffith.
Just logging into the game during the event will reward players with free items like the Struggler's Path weapon skin, Eclipse portal cosmetics, and Legendary Crests.

Brad Marchand's 'Ice Cream' controversy: Did he really snack on a Dairy Queen Blizzard during Eastern Conference Finals?

Brad Marchand's ice cream ignites Dairy Queen controversy during NHL playoffs (Image via: Getty Images) When playoff hockey is on the line, every detail matters — every goal, every pass, and apparently, every snack. But in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the spotlight shifted from the ice to something far sweeter: Did Boston Bruins' star Brad Marchand sneak in a Dairy Queen Blizzard between periods? What started as a casual comment has quickly turned into one of the most talked-about off-ice moments of the postseason, raising eyebrows, fueling rumors, and even hinting at a savvy marketing play. Brad Marchand Dairy Queen Blizzard controversy: Ice Cream snack or smart marketing strategy? The story kicked off after Marchand's team, the Florida Panthers, crushed the Carolina Hurricanes 6-2. During a post-game interview with Sportsnet's Kyle Bukauskas, Marchand was asked about a viral video showing him eating something off a spoon between periods. His response? A confident admission of enjoying a 'little chocolate chip cookie dough Blizzard.' However, Panthers coach Paul Maurice wasn't so sure: 'I know he said it. I'm just not sure that makes it a fact.' That doubt isn't unfounded. Teams typically fuel their players with high-protein, performance-focused snacks like peanut butter or nuts, not sugary ice cream, especially during critical playoff games. Still, the Panthers' recent Dairy Queen visit in North Carolina and the proximity of a DQ near their home arena make the story plausible. But could Marchand have been playing the media, delivering a sweet tease to fans and potential sponsors? His cheeky follow-up—requesting a 'lifetime free supply of Dairy Queen'—suggests this might be more than just a simple snack confession. Also Read: Carolina Hurricanes set unwanted NHL record with 15 straight Eastern Conference Finals losses What's undeniable is that whatever Marchand ate seemed to work, he scored a crucial goal shortly after his alleged Blizzard break, helping seal the Panthers' victory. Whether it was ice cream or a clever stunt, this playful controversy perfectly blends sports, strategy, and savvy marketing, leaving fans eager for the next chapter in this delicious playoff drama and sparking lively debates across social media and hockey circles alike. Marchand's sweet move has everyone talking, and the NHL playoffs just got a little more interesting. Diablo 4 season 9 brings new dungeon gauntlet and boss mechanics: Details

American video game developer and publisher, Blizzard Entertainment, has revealed the first major details of Diablo 4 Season 9, with a strong focus on revitalising endgame content following widespread criticism of Season 8. The new feature, titled Escalation Nightmares, will debut during the Public Test Realm (PTR) for Patch 2.3.0 from May 27 to June 3 and will be fully launched with the new season. Escalation nightmares: A stacked dungeon challenge According to a GameRant report, at the core of Season 9's endgame is Escalation Nightmares—a sequence of three chained Nightmare Dungeons. In this mode, affixes from each dungeon carry over to the next, progressively increasing difficulty. Blizzard has dubbed this feature the 'ultimate test,' offering players greater rewards for enduring mounting challenges. The final stage of this gauntlet culminates in a revamped boss fight against Exalted Astaroth. This version of the demon splits mid-battle into two independent bosses, forcing players to adapt to new attack patterns and combo mechanics. Season 9 aims to win back players after season 8 criticism As per GameRant, Season 8 was met with mixed reviews, with players expressing frustration over sluggish progression, limited build diversity, and reduced drop rates for rare items. Blizzard's new approach in Season 9 appears aimed at restoring confidence through a more challenging and rewarding endgame experience. More to come, but no expansion until 2026 While Season 9 leads the way, Blizzard has confirmed that a major expansion won't arrive until 2026. In the meantime, Seasons 9 and 10 will continue building on the 'Vessel of Hatred' storyline, with more updates expected as launch day approaches.
