Shah Rukh Khan surprises fans with a cameo in Ed Sheeran's Sapphire; singer reveals how it happened in BTS video

Shah Rukh Khan has made a surprise appearance in Ed Sheeran's latest music video Sapphire, and fans can't stop talking about it. The video, which also features Arijit Singh on vocals, showcases not just a global musical collaboration but a memorable Bollywood cameo that took everyone by surprise. In a new behind-the-scenes (BTS) video shared on YouTube, Ed Sheeran opens up about how the legendary actor ended up being part of the track. In the video, Ed takes fans through his journey across India, mentioning how he travelled to Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai to shoot various portions of Sapphire. But it was his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan in Mumbai that became the highlight. 'There is no need to give context of who Shah Rukh Khan is,' Ed said. 'I would say he is probably like the first or second most famous person in the world.' He went on to reveal how the superstar invited him over to his home to play paddle. 'So we played paddle for like 3 hours and then he pitched me an idea and was like, 'Do it whenever,' and I was like, 'To be honest, I am here so like do you want to get dinner tomorrow?'' Their dinner plans turned into something far more iconic. Ed, who had already been singing the tune in Hindi by then, ended up recording parts of the song in a studio—his first time singing in Hindi. The music video was shot under the direction of Siddharth Anand, who also directed Shah Rukh in Pathaan. Ed shared how Siddharth coordinated the shoot with SRK: 'He informed me that Shah Rukh wants to meet me at his house and was waiting there. I went there with my dad and Nic, we had dinner, and then we shot his cameo.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top-Rated Senior-Friendly Laptops Search7 Learn More Undo After wrapping up the scene, Ed said SRK gave him a big hug. Sapphire, which also sees Arijit Singh joining in for the Punjabi vocals, features a bike ride sequence with Ed and Arijit—another visual that fans have loved. Released just a few days ago, the track is already gaining massive popularity across streaming platforms and social media.

BTS' V receives 4.5 million messages during military service, crowned most-beloved celebrity to enlist

BTS member V is no stranger to breaking records and winning hearts; however, this achievement for the singer is once in a lifetime opportunity, and he has managed to make it worthwhile. According to reports, Kim Taehyung received a whopping 4.5 million messages during the 18 months of his military enlistment. This surpasses any previous records, crowning him as the most beloved K-pop celebrity to ever go for military service. The Goondori app, known to be used by active soldiers as well as their well-wishers alike, recorded over 4.5 million messages for the Layover singer. The time span for the same was smaller than you'd think, as V managed to score the number during the one and a half years, while he was away from promotions as a K-pop star. The achievement is even more astonishing as the BTS member was not releasing any new content, taking part in any endorsements, or working on new music, to keep his fans updated with his life. It further proves his popularity that despite not being able to reply to the BTS ARMY, the fandom kept sharing parts of their lives with him. He ranked first in not only the total cheers received on the app, but also in recording a daily high. The final ranking showed V winning over fellow member Jimin, who earned over 2.7 million of his own cheers. He is followed by Jungkook with 2.5 million, NCT's Taeyong with 1.8 million. Two more BTS members, SUGA and RM, followed close behind with 1.7 and 1.2 million each of their own. The top 7 list closes off with SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan, who has already managed to add 1.2 million to his name. This makes BTS ' V the first and the only Korean celebrity so far to achieve over 3 million messages on the app, once again proving his global fame.

Jungkook's new era: From solo tour to sophomore album, here's what's reportedly on BTS star's agenda post-military discharge

BTS's golden maknae, Jungkook, has been making waves just days after his discharge from the South Korean military. Multiple fan accounts have noted that the singer was recently spotted flying to the US, sparking speculation about his packed upcoming schedule. While there's been no official confirmation from BigHit Entertainment, fan sources suggest Jungkook is currently in the States for several major projects, including a new Calvin Klein campaign and preparations for his highly anticipated sophomore album. Jungkook's new era loading: album, concerts, and creative control According to widely shared fan posts, Jungkook is not just modelling for Calvin Klein's fall collection but also finalising solo concert dates. On top of that, he's reportedly working on his branding and visual identity under new management. The most exciting bit? His sophomore album is in the works. Fans believe he's working with the same two producers behind his maiden album, GOLDEN, and also contributing creatively himself. For ARMY, that means more personal, introspective music and possibly genre blends that only Jungkook can pull off. BTS star to juggle a busy schedule As per fans tracking his activities, Jungkook's calendar is currently stacked. From music video shoots to potential global performances and collaborations, it looks like he'll be bouncing between continents all year. There's even talk that he's locking down major international appearances. It's definitely a far cry from the quiet life of military enlistment, but with his recent takeover at J-Hope's solo concert, Jungkook seems more than ready to hit the ground running. Brief controversy: the 'Make Tokyo Great Again' moment The singer recently drew criticism after being photographed in a hat with the slogan 'Make Tokyo Great Again' during rehearsals of J-Hope's concert finale in Seoul. The phrase, a twist on a politically loaded line, raised eyebrows online. Jungkook was quick to respond to the criticism and quickly posted a heartfelt apology on Weverse, saying he didn't know the historical and political relevance of the phrase but assured fans that the hat has been disposed of. A BTS reunion on the horizon While the SEVEN singer is deep into his solo hustle, BTS are gearing up for their much-awaited group reunion. With only SUGA left to complete his military service, just three days away from finishing, fans are hopeful that all seven will be together again soon. Whether it's for new music, content, or a massive comeback stage, the energy around a full-group return is starting to build, and ARMYs are counting down days to it.
