Puttaparthi: District Superintendent of Police, V Ratna conducted a Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme at the district police office's conference hall, where 70 complaints were received from citizens across various regions of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Ratna emphasized that the police department is giving special attention to public grievances and assured that each complaint would be promptly investigated and addressed in accordance with the law to ensure justice to the victims. During the programme, the SP personally interacted with complainants, listened to their concerns, and instructed the respective police officers to take immediate and appropriate action.
The complaints ranged from family disputes, land issues, harassment by in-laws, to online fraud. SP Ratna reaffirmed the department's commitment to quick and lawful resolution of all complaints and ensured that justice will be delivered without delay. The program saw the participation of Puttaparthi DSP Vijay Kumar, Legal Advisor Sainath Reddy, SB CI Balasubrahmanyam Reddy, and other police personnel.

Anantapur: District Superintendent of Police P Jagadeesh directed police officials to resolve public grievances within the legal framework in a manner that ensures petitioners' satisfaction. As part of the Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS) held on Monday at the District Police Conference Hall, a total of 103 petitions were received from people across Anantapur District. He personally received the petitions, interacted directly with the complainants, and assured them of thorough resolutions. He instructed concerned police officials via Zoom to immediately address the grievances and take necessary legal action to ensure justice for the petitioners. Emphasizing the importance of public complaints, the SP urged officials to avoid negligence and resolve issues promptly. The petitions covered a variety of matters including family disputes, land issues, and financial problems. Women DSP S Mahaboob Basha also participated in the programme.

Knowledge of legal rights must for eliminating social inequalities, says Sathya Sai SP
The Sri Sathya Sai district police on Saturday held a special awareness drive at Bullasamudram village of Madakasira mandal to celebrate Civil Rights Day, highlighting the importance of constitutional rights and social equality. Superintendent of Police V. Ratna inaugurated the programme and addressed a gathering of students, villagers and police personnel. The SP said the Indian Constitution bestows upon every citizen the right to equality, freedom and protection from suppression and exploitation. She called for eliminating discrimination of all kinds to achieve true social justice. 'Every citizen must understand and exercise their legal rights,' the SP said. Ms. Ratna observed that during the past six months, awareness programmes connected to the importance of Civil Rights Day were organised across the district. She thanked officials, students, police and village elders for their cooperation in conducting the camps to educate the public. 'It's the responsibility of everyone to eliminate social inequalities, and this alone can create a society of true equality,' Mr. Ratna said. Deploring the still-prevalent practice of child marriage, the SP said this social aberration was a punishable offense. Ms. Ratna highlighted a plethora of government welfare schemes and the economic sustenance programmes of NGOs for the underprivileged in society, vulnerable to the scourge of child marriages. The SP called upon women, particularly those working and in colleges, to download the Shakti App on their mobiles, as this would protect them from any external attacks from the miscreants. Senior officials from the Women and Child Welfare, police, revenue and panchayat raj departments attended the event.
