AFTER nearly eight years of low-key romance filled with sweet public moments, secret engagement rumours, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson have reportedly parted ways and this time, sources say, it's for good.Chris Martin, 48, and Dakota Johnson, 35, began dating in 2017, keeping much of their relationship out of the public eye.The couple were last seen together on May 16, 2025, during a casual outing in Malibu, a location they have called home since 2021.Just a few months prior, in January, Johnson was spotted holding hands with Martin in India while he was touring with Coldplay.Despite their private nature, the pair offered rare glimpses into their bond."We've been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it's nice to be at home and be cozy and private.'Most of the partying takes place inside my house," Johnson shared in a 2021 interview with Elle UK.Their love story even crossed into the music world when Martin publicly dedicated Coldplay's chart-topping hit My Universe to Johnson during a London concert.
'This is about my universe, and she's here,' Martin said, pointing to Johnson in the audience. Though engagement speculation first emerged in 2020, People reported in March 2024 that the couple had actually been engaged "for years" but were in "no rush to get married."However, their relationship was far from picture-perfect as breakup rumours surfaced in August 2024.Johnson's rep denied the rumours at the time, calling them 'nothing but a false alarm,' and other insiders insisted the couple were 'happily together.'However, by June 4, multiple sources confirmed the split, with one stating bluntly that 'it feels final this time.'Over the years, Johnson built a close relationship with Martin's children from his previous marriage to Gwyneth Paltrow, daughter Apple and son Moses.'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart,' she expressed in a candid interview in 2024.Johnson also gushed about watching Martin perform on-stage. 'I don't know. I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don't know how to explain it. I feel like, I don't know... I'm watching my most favourite being do his most favorite thing,' she said. Her reflections on love and relationships in general grew even more candid while promoting her upcoming film Materialists, in theatres June 13.'For a long time we've all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen. When people should get married. Divorce is bad.'Why is divorce bad? Why do people have to get married at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn't matter,' Johnson said in a recent interview. While their relationship may have reportedly ended, both Martin and Johnson continue to soar professionally.Martin's band Coldplay is still riding the wave of their blockbuster Music of the Spheres tour, which topped Billboard's Top Tours chart in April 2025 after raking in over $67.4 million in Asia alone. The band's latest album Moon Music debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.Johnson, meanwhile, is preparing for the release of Materialists, where she stars alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.
Despite the breakup, she remains a fixture in Hollywood, known for her enigmatic charm on-screen and an ever-evolving career.

iKON's Jay To Perform In KL This Year? Organiser Teases Mystery K-pop Idol

The guessing games show no signs of stopping. Lately, a number of brands, event organisers, and companies have been teasing collaborations with K-pop idols, some even hinting that the superstars will be making special appearances in Malaysia in the near future. It appears that we're adding one more to this list of mystery idols coming to our shores. Here's what we know so far: On Wednesday (6th August), event organiser Euphoryk 乐园 teased fans with news that a certain K-pop idol will be making an appearance in Kuala Lumpur soon. The post featured a silhouette of the male artist, along with a couple of clues: he is the main vocalist of a group and has just completed his military service. Obviously, it didn't take long for fans to start guessing, and the majority believe it's most likely Jay (김진환) from iKON (아이콘). The idol's official role in the group is main vocalist, and he completed his military service earlier in April. Fans also recognised the silhouette used in the teaser, as it matches one of the promotional photos from his solo album '[OBEY]', which was released last month. At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation on whether the event will be a fan meeting or a full concert. However, based on the organiser's track record, the latter seems highly likely. That said, it could also be a fan-con, an event where the singer may both perform and interact with fans, potentially including songs from his solo work as well as iKON's discography. For now, we'll have to wait for the official announcement, so stay tuned for those updates. If the mystery idol turns out to be Jay, will you be saving up for tickets? Source: Instagram

(Video) DOLLA & KIIRAS Team Up For 'MWA' & 'ZILLER' Dance Challenges

Newly debuted K-pop girl group KIIRAS (키라스) received a warm welcome during their first visit to Malaysia. The trip also marked a special homecoming for leader Ling Ling (링링/黃羚棱), who hails from Klang. In addition to performing at their first international showcase during 'The Music Journey 2 Roadshow', the group took part in several activities, including meeting fashion designer Peony Sin Hui Wen (萧惠玟) and filming a dance challenge in front of their billboard in Bukit Bintang. Speaking of dance challenges, the girls also delighted fans by performing DOLLA's 'MWA' challenge during a recent stage appearance. So, it was only natural for them to do it again, this time with the artists themselves while they were still in town. Watch the collaboration below: Yesterday (Wednesday, 6th August), DOLLA and KIIRAS shared a video on Instagram of themselves doing the former's 'MWA' dance challenge. The clip was filmed at a futsal court, though the exact location was not disclosed. The two groups were divided into trios, with 2 KIIRAS members paired with 1 DOLLA member in each group. Luckily for fans, the two groups didn't just do 1 but 2 dance challenges, with DOLLA taking part in KIIRAS' 'ZILLER' dance challenge with the members. Fans were delighted by the collaboration, as it also helped shine a spotlight on more Malaysian talent on the global stage. While many were excited to see the two girl groups teaming up, Ling Ling also took part in a special collaboration of her own. On the same day, KIIRAS shared a video on their official Instagram account of their leader taking on the 'KILL MA BO$$' dance challenge with her sunbaenim, Isaac Voo (邬凯名/아이젝), a fellow Malaysian and K-pop idol from the boy group SKYE. Fun fact: Both Isaac and Ling Ling are known as the first male and female Malaysian K-pop idols, respectively. With Ling Ling leading KIIRAS, fans are hopeful for future musical collaborations with DOLLA, SKYE, or other Malaysian artists. There's no doubt that such projects have the potential to break records and make history. Rapper Lil Tay says she earned over US$1mil on OnlyFans within hours of joining

The Internet personality claims that her OnlyFans content was captured at 12:01am on her birthday on July 29. Photo: Lil Tay/Instagram Rapper Lil Tay, the subject of a 2023 death hoax, is alive and well and allegedly raking in the big bucks on OnlyFans. The 18-year-old social media sensation claimed that her recently launched account on the often NSFW subscription-based platform has made her over US$1mil (RM4.22mil) just three hours after going live. 'We broke the f–k out of that onlyfans record,' she wrote in her caption of a screenshot of her income statement on Sunday (Aug 3). The breakdown was US$486,558 (RM2.05mil) from messages, $511,003 (RM2.16mil) from subscriptions and US$26,736 (RM113,050.85) in tips. The Internet personality – who has said her legal name is Tay Tian – claimed that her OnlyFans content was captured at 12:01am on her birthday on July 29. In another clip, Lil Tay hit back at those criticising her for cashing in on the adult entertainment site. 'You can hate on me all you want,' she said. 'You can't say Lil Tay ain't winning,' the Sucker 4 Green (Money) star continued. 'So, for everybody out there, do whatever the hell you want with your life. Who gives a f–k what people have to say? Remember this, Lil Tay rich and finna get richer.' A week before becoming a legal adult, Lil Tay teased the idea of joining OnlyFans. 'Every male has been counting down to it and literally telling me to 'drop the link' the second I turn 18,' she said in a July 22 Instagram video. 'Girlies, what do you think? Should I do it?' Now boasting 5.7 million followers on Instagram, Lil Tay went viral in 2018 for her profanity-laced raps about her lavish lifestyle on the track Money Way . In 2023, a statement posted to her Instagram account falsely claimed she and older brother Jason Tian had died. The following day, she came forward to say that she was alive and 'completely heartbroken' over the hoax. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service
