MasterChef's new presenters 'confirmed' after Gregg Wallace and John Torode axin
Earlier this week an independent review commissioned by production company Banijay into misconduct accusations against Wallace, 60, upheld 45 of the 83 allegations, leading to his official removal from the cooking reality series.
Torode, 59, exited hot on his heels after admitting he was subject to the racial language accusation featured in the review, although he has claimed he has 'no recollection' of the incident.
It was claimed that he 'used the 'the N-word' on two separate occasions while working at the BBC.
Now, however, Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt, 51, is said to be in the running to take the vacant position, according to The Sun.
Joining him, fellow BBC chef Andi Oliver, 62, who presents Great British Menu, is reportedly being considered as well.
Matt Tebbutt is a British chef and food presenter best known for presenting Channel 4's Food Unwrapped and Drop Down Menu, the BBC's Saturday Kitchen and the Good Food channel's Market Kitchen.
Tebbutt ran a restaurant called The Foxhunter for many years with his wife, but gave it up to focus on his TV career.
Previously, he presented Saturday Kitchen while regular host James Martin was away but then became the main presenter.
Andi Oliver is also a chef, TV and radio broadcaster and former singer.
She is known for appearing on BBC's Great British Menu, and is the author of the book The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table, which she published in 2023.
For four years she ran a successful restaurant called The Moveable Feast before opening her award-winning restaurant, Andi's, in 2016.
Grace Dent, who has stepped into host Celebrity MasterChef, was said to also be in the running for the permanent MasterChef spot.
However, a source told The Sun: 'Matt is seen as a really safe pair of hands by the BBC. He has been in the frame for some time and is now being lined up for MasterChef.

'They're not sure if she can commit at this stage because of her schedule with that show but everyone is hoping they can get her on board.'
The source added: 'Everyone loves Andi and she would be perfect for the role in many ways.
'She is very talented on her own merit but she would also help bring a more diverse look for the show, which is much needed.

Kohli appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday to face a total of six charges against three different women between 2007 and 2016. Locations include the BBC studios at Pacific Quay, Glasgow, where he allegedly indecently assaulted a woman by squeezing her bottom and trying to hug her between April 2007 and September 2008. BBC Scotland is based at Pacific Quay in Glasgow It is also alleged he committed a breach of the peace in the woman's presence in an unknown bar and restaurant in Glasgow between the same dates. He is charged with a further indecent assault on the same woman at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow, where he allegedly stroked the woman on the back and touched her hair, between the same dates. It is alleged that in December 2016, Kohli sexually assaulted a third complainant at the Yes Bar in Glasgow and 'seized her by the body and attempted to insert his tongue in her mouth'. The court heard that vulnerable witness orders had been made for all three women and a joint minute had been agreed between the prosecution and the defence. Prosecutor Sean Docherty said that seven civilian witnesses will be called for the prosecution, along with one police officer. Gary Lineker ‘can't wait' to host new ITV show The Box after BBC exit
In the show, 10 yellow boxes house a celebrity contestant who will be transported to unknown locations, before being released to face whatever game awaits on the other side of the door. Each week two players will face The Duel, a finale in which the loser leaves the competition for good. Lineker, who had presented Match Of The Day since 1999, said an emotional goodbye in an early departure from the broadcaster on May 26. It followed a social media row after he shared a post about Zionism, which featured a depiction of a rat, historically an antisemitic insult. Gary Lineker (Ian West/PA) Lineker, who was the BBC's highest-paid presenter, issued an unreserved apology for the social media video he shared, which led to his early exit from the BBC. Lineker was due to host BBC Sport's coverage of the FA Cup in the 2025-26 season. Lineker said: 'I can't wait to host The Box. I've always felt right at home in the box on a football pitch and whilst this is a different proposition, the fundamentals are similar. 'The contestants will have to quickly and masterfully work out how each game works, whilst also trying to get ahead of the competition to take control. 'It's going to be unpredictable and thrilling to watch, and I'm excited that I get to have a front row seat to all the action.'
