Rylan Clark brands mum a ‘walking disaster' as she suffers injury after hospital dash

Rylan Clark's Celebrity Gogglebox star mum Linda has admitted she's been suffering from a fresh injury, just weeks after being rushed to hospital with her son missing his BBC Radio 2 show to look after her Former X Factor star Rylan Clark has branded his mother Linda a "walking disaster" live on the radio, after she opened up about struggling with another health issue. Rylan, 36, was presenting his BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday when he started talking with his mum on the phone, who informed him that she had sustained an injury to her arms at home. ‌ She said: 'I hurt my arms, didn't I?" To which Rylan replied: "Yeah, I know you hurt your arm and it wound me up! Tell everyone how you hurt your arm." ‌ Linda explained: "Well, I was looking in the ottoman, and it's quite heavy, and the lid came down." Rylan added: "And you've cut all your arm." ‌ "Oh it did hurt", Linda replied, before admitting: "If it ain't one thing it's another, isn't it?'. In response, Rylan quipped: 'That's why you're like a walking disaster at the moment," to which his mum candidly agreed. This isn't the first time Rylan has provided fans with an update about his mum's health, after the duo became beloved by fans on Celebrity Gogglebox. ‌ Just weeks ago, Rylan announced that he would be absent from his BBC Radio 2 show because Linda had been rushed to hospital. At the time of the incident, Rylan told fans on Instagram: 'Mummy Linda isn't well sadly so I won't be hosting the show tomorrow. 'Thank you to the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Will keep you updated as she's on the mend. She's a trooper.' ‌ Rylan was later able to confirm that Linda, 73, who suffers from Crohn's disease, was permitted to return home in time for her birthday on July 20. However, it isn't just his mother's health that Rylan has been open about in recent months, as he has also talked a little more about his own wellbeing. ‌ Speaking to The Times earlier this year, he discussed the health implications of his divorce from ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021. The Doctor Who actor told the publication during a conversation about his morning routine: 'The first thing I do is have a coffee, which has to be decaf after my heart failure four years ago. When I was getting divorced, I ended up in an ambulance twice "I have three or four cups to make myself function, and the only breakfast I have is a sachet of collagen mixed into a shake. Believe it or not, I'm very picky about what I put in my mouth; I like a tropical one." Rylan previously spoke about his struggles back in 2022, soon after his divorce from Dan. He told an audience at the Royal Festival Hall: "There were weeks that I couldn't speak. That sounds ridiculous because I can talk for England. 'My mum was genuinely concerned at one point that I'd had a stroke. It was like my body had shut down. 'Twice last year I ended up back in an ambulance because my heart had failed, and it was really strange because I just remember for a couple of weeks going, 'My heart hurts.'"

JENNIE BOND: 'Meghan Markle's found where she fits in with glimpse of life before Harry'

As Meghan Markle continues to navigate her career through her lifestyle brand, media projects and social media presence, royal expert Jennie Bond believes the Duchess has found her niche in the market Meghan Markle has finally found where she fits in when it comes to her career - and it's actually doing something she tried her hand at years before meeting Prince Harry, according to an expert. ‌ The Duchess of Sussex's As Ever lifestyle brand has now taken off with a new vintage of her rosé wine being available to customers next week. ‌ However, there are questions marks about the future of her Netflix deal and the ongoing rift with the Royal Family shows no sign of thawing. It comes after news that Prince Harry will 'never be forgiven' by two major royals despite reconciliation hope. ‌ However, for former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, she believes Meghan has finally found herself an unusual, but highly profitable niche. Despite it being several weeks since Meghan has been present on social media, Jennie believes that the Duchess of Sussex could be cooking up something big for her fans, or is simply enjoying some time away from the spotlight. ‌ Jennie told the Mirror: 'After quite a blitz of Instagram messages and posts, Meghan has been rather quiet lately. That could be because the children are now home from school, or that she is between projects. But she has just put out a promotional message for her next batch of rosé wine, which she says will be available to buy from next week.' The announcement of the new As Ever product has caused a flurry of excitement with her fans online, leading many to believe that another record-breaking sell out time of the new wine is imminent. Despite a continuing backlash against some her projects and social media presence, Jennie believes that Meghan has carved out a space for herself online: one where she is supported by her loyal fans and can quietly enjoy her success. ‌ Jennie said: 'I think Meghan deserves to be pretty happy with how this year has gone so far. Whatever she does or says gets slammed in the media, but she has built up a substantial social media following in very little time, the products that she endorses or sells seem to do exceptionally well, and her TV and podcast shows — although clearly not ground breaking - are perfectly watchable, however much her critics like to pan them.] 'Meghan has, quite humbly, acknowledged that she is still learning how to navigate the commercial world and admits that she has made mistakes in her business ventures. That is an honest appraisal of her success so far.' ‌ Jennie also added that while Meghan is still perfecting her social media strategy, her previous experience in running a blog has given her an edge to connect with an online audience. During her time as an actress on the TV series Suits, Meghan ran a blog called The Tig, in which she would share her favourite recipes, travel hacks and document her wellness journey. This experience in documenting her life online has given her the upper hand to tap back into her previous creative outlet, which is proving to be a huge success. Jennie explained: 'She was doing extremely well as an influencer with her lifestyle blog before she met Harry. Now that she is back on social media I think this is clearly the direction she should continue to pursue. She's quite good at what she does, just as good as many other highly successful influencers. I think she has found a niche and should capitalise on it.'

Amanda Owen has fans sobbing after sharing emotional update with beloved dog

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen left fans feeling emotional after she shared some adorable photos of her and her children out in the Yorkshire Dales, with her beloved dog Amanda Owen had supporters reaching for the tissues after posting a touching message on social media. ‌ The Yorkshire Shepherdess became a household name alongside her family, including former spouse Clive - from whom she separated in 2022 - and son Rueben, through the Channel 5 programme Our Yorkshire Farm which launched in 2018. ‌ The programme brought viewers into the world of the Owen household, documenting the family's life on their vast 2000-acre property, Ravenseat Farm. ‌ ‌ The programme follows Amanda and her brood as they face the demanding task of renovating their fresh dilapidated farmhouse, reports the Express. Yet on Saturday (August 2) Amanda had supporters feeling rather sentimental following a touching social media update. Using her Instagram platform, Amanda posted some sweet photographs of herself and her youngsters exploring the Yorkshire Dales, accompanied by her cherished dog herding sheep. ‌ She wrote alongside the images with news about her latest television programme: "Whilst on the subject of gathering up, clipping, and turning away sheep. It is now time to chase ewe too. To Our Farm Next Door on channel 4 at 6.10pm tonight Saturday)." However, it was a particular image of Amanda with her dog that sparked considerable discussion. ‌ Flocking to the comments area, admirers couldn't hold back their feelings as they highlighted how the dog gazes at Amanda with "so much love". One individual commented: "How the dog looks at you we can see there is so much love." Another concurred: "Your gorgeous collie looks at you with so much love." A third added their voice: "What a good dog." ‌ This follows Amanda's devastating news from her farm last week, where she found that two of the pens had been vandalised. Alongside the video, Amanda wrote: "Cross, cross, cross. This is not the normal kind of post I do. Not the kind of post that I want to do. "I know that it will not make any difference whatsoever, but still I hope that someone, somewhere might feel a little uncomfortable or even ashamed. They are still in use to this day."
