Now, it has been confirmed that despite the recent delays with the latest series, show bosses have been handed a further TWO series of Beat The Chaser.
Series seven is understood to currently be filming as well as an eighth series to be recorded this autumn.
Transmission details are yet to be revealed but it is likely that ITV will air both series over the next two years.
Series six of the programme began airing in January of this year despite being filmed in early spring 2023.
It came jam-packed with a slew of celebrity specials as does the regular version.
In the primetime spin-off, contestants are tasked with taking on FIVE chasers all at once in a high-stakes round of quizzing.
The amount of chasers they face determines how much money they play for.
Every contestant must face at least two chasers in order to earn the money they have built by correctly answering questions in their solo cash builder round.
The chasers then make further offers for higher amounts of money and less time to answer all the questions if they agree to take on a greater number of the quizzing geniuses.
In recently aired episodes, The Governess quizzer Anne Hegerty was replaced by a star of the Aussie version of the programme after missing out on the recording of the episodes.
Beat The Chasers shock as woman wins huge amount after errors
Issa 'The Supernerd' Schultz stepped in for Anne back in 2023 when she stepped down from the show due to health reasons.
Known to fans of The Chase Australia, Issa impressed viewers with his trivia prowess in the rerun episode.
Issa's accolades include eight victories at the Australian Quizzing Championships between 2011 and 2021, along with appearances on shows like The Rich List and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
The Chase's best moments
The Chase has been entertaining ITV viewers for years, here are some of the show's most memorable moments...
Bradley Walsh can't stop laughing
Every time host Bradley Walsh erupts into fits of laughter on The Chase it makes for pretty entertaining TV. One particularly memorable occasion was when he was asking the question 'The title of which Elvis Presley song was engraved of the inside of Freddie Star's coffin?" As usual the contestant was given four multiple choices but Bradley could get through reading them out before bursting into hysterics. Seeming the idea of the song being option 'B: Way Down' was too much for the presenter to handle.
The Double Trouble special
To celebrate 15 years of The Chase on screens, ITV launched a special 'double trouble' episode where contestants faced off against not one but two of the show's beloved Chasers. And despite the odds, the contestants managed to go home with some cash!
The contestants with famous names
Eagle-eyed ITV fans are always quick to spot interesting and sometimes hidden details on the quiz show - but there have been a few times where the names of some contestants have been overtly obvious. For example, one 2017 episode of the quiz show saw Bradley welcome four contestants who were named after Friends characters Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey. Another group of contestants with named from The Simpsons were also grouped together in another episode, much to viewers' amusement.
The Beast's anger gets the best of him
During an episode from the 2024 season, Mark Labbett let out his inner beast as he exploded in a fit of anger. Close to losing the competition in the Final Chase, Mark then made a silly mistake and incorrectly answered the question, 'Rabbit was a 1980 hit for which Cockney duo?' 'Oh, you idiot!' he yelled at himself while slamming the table in front of him. With seconds left on the clock, the Chaser then admitted defeat, moaning "I don't deserve to win."

Dua Lipa confirms long-speculated engagement to actor Callum Turner

Dua Lipa has confirmed her engagement to the English actor Callum Turner, months after speculation began. She went on the record about the engagement in a cover story for British Vogue 's July issue, published Thursday, calling it 'very exciting.' The 29-year-old said she was obsessed with the ring Turner had made for her. 'It's so me. It's nice to know the person that you're going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well,' she told the magazine. Fans had theorized the ring Lipa began sporting in photos at the end of December signaled an engagement, but the pair did not publicly confirm the rumor for months, even after appearing together at last month's Met Gala. Lipa says they haven't set wedding plans yet — she's still on tour and Turner is filming, 'so we're just enjoying this period,' she told British Vogue, adding that they try not to spend more than 2 ½ weeks apart. Images of Lipa and Turner, 35, together began surfacing in January 2024. She told British Vogue that they had initially met at a London restaurant, before reconnecting during a dinner in L.A., where they learned they were both reading the same book: Hernan Diaz's 'Trust,' a Pulitzer Prize winner. (Lipa runs the influential Service95 Book Club.) The London-born, British Albanian powerhouse is credited with revitalizing a kind of energetic disco-pop sound in the mainstream, beginning with the release of her 2017 self-titled album and carrying throughout 2020's 'Future Nostalgia' and 2024's 'Radical Optimism.' 'Dance music has such a long history of creating such a safe space. And I just want to embody that,' she told The Associated Press last year. Across her career, Lipa has won three Grammys and boasts five top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: 2017's 'New Rules,' 2019's 'Don't Start Now,' 2020's 'Levitating,' 2021's 'Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)' with Elton John, and 2023's 'Dance the Night,' from the star-studded 'Barbie' soundtrack. Turner is known for his roles in the 'Fantastic Beasts' movies as well as the George Clooney-directed 'The Boys in the Boat' and World War ll drama series 'Masters of the Air' on Apple TV+.

Wellness guru Jamie Meek and husband Fiongal Greenlaw posted a video from Ahmedabad airport just moments before boarding the ill-fated plane, which went down shortly after take-off. Meek, 45, and Greenlaw, 39, based in London, co-founded the Wellness Foundry, a company promoting holistic living. The couple had been on a holiday in India and had previously made appearances on ITV 's This Morning to showcase their wellness brand. ‌ ‌ The final video shared from the airport showed the couple in vibrant floral shirts, smiling and relaxed as they prepared to fly home. In the clip, Fiongal says, 'We are at the airport just boarding. Goodbye India. Ten-hour flight back to England. What was your biggest takeaway Jamie?' to which Jamie replies, 'I don't know,' prompting laughter from Fiongal who responds 'thanks for your contribution.' Fiongal then jokingly says his takeaway was 'don't lose your patience with your partner,' to which Jamie replied 'you snapped at me at the airport for having chai.' Surrounded by fellow travelers, Fiongal ends the clip by saying he's returning to the UK 'happily, happily calm.' Earlier videos captured highlights of their time in Ahmedabad, including scenes from a luxury hotel following a long car journey. In one clip, Fiongal, stretched out on a large bed, showcases a swing in their room, calling the space 'beautiful' and adding he is 'feeling very, very happy.' The couple are believed to have spent two weeks in India, documenting their travels through numerous social media updates. Their shared content included moments such as getting henna tattoos, shopping for textiles, and navigating bustling streets in a tuk-tuk. Just one day before the crash, Fiongal posted a message marking the end of their trip: 'So, it's our last night in India and we've had a magical experience. Some mind-blowing things have happened. We are going to put all this together and create a vlog. It's my first ever vlog about the whole trip and we want to share it.' At least 204 bodies have been recovered from the crash site near Ahmedabad Airport, according to the local police chief.
