Rosie O'Donnell surprised fans in May 2025 by revealing a positive update on her weight loss journey — which she credited to using the medication Mounjaro.
The injectable drug (also known as tirzepatide) is similar to Ozempic and Wegovy in that it is used primarily to treat diabetes, but can also be effective in weight loss. According to WebMD, Mounjaro can be classified similarly to Wegovy or Ozempic because all three all contain GLP-1, which assists in weight loss. Side effects can include nausea and diarrhea.
In O'Donnell's case, she said that she started using Mounjaro to treat her diabetes and her weight loss came as a bonus. Other celebrities have also opened up about losing weight while using Mounjaro — including Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, The View's Whoopi Goldberg, and Amy Schumer.

The former Rosie O'Donnell Show host proudly showed off her recent weight loss via Instagram in May 2025 and directly attributed her positive health news to using the weight loss medication.
In a message captioned with the hashtag 'Mounjaro,' she wrote, 'I cant believe this is me now.'
O'Donnell first announced to her TikTok followers in March 2025 that she was having success with the medication after her recent move from the U.S. to Ireland.
'I've lost more weight,' she announced. 'I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight. But it's also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don't have a chef now. It's me cooking for [my child] Clay and me.'
She went on, 'I'm one of those people who always had a weight issue and now that I'm a size large — instead of an XL or a XXL — I find it shocking. I really do. I find it completely shocking.'
During a May 2024 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the View moderator said Mounjaro helped her lose the weight of 'almost two people.'
'I'm doing that wonderful little shot that works for folks who need some help and it's been really good for me,' Goldberg reported to host Kelly Clarkson.
Goldberg reflected on the creeping effect that weight gain can have, saying, 'You're living your life and you're doing what you need to do — and that's the last thing you're thinking about because you've got other stuff on your mind. When you realize it, you go, 'Well, damn.' And everyone says, 'Well, I thought you knew.''
The comedian shared with her Instagram followers in March 2024 that she was doing well on Mounjaro after having a less positive experience on Wegovy years earlier.
'Three years ago, I tried Wegovy. I was puking, I couldn't handle it. I don't know if they've changed the formula, whatever,' she said via Instagram. 'But anyway, I went on this Telehealth meeting with [virtual clinic] Midi Health, and it was cheap. I wanted to try it myself 'cause I wanted to recommend it to my friends who are nurses and teachers.'
Schumer explained that, in addition to her use of the weight loss medication, her clinicians put her on 'estrogen and progesterone' because she was perimenopausal.

She also noted, 'And, look, it's not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or like severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have. But I'm having a really good experience with it and I wanted to keep it real with you about that.'
The 'Woman Up' singer revealed on her 'Workin' On It' podcast in April 2025 that both she and husband Sabara started taking Mounjaro after welcoming son Riley in 2021. Trainor said that they went with Mounjaro over other weight-loss medications because they were told it 'had less side effects'.
'I also gained some [sympathy] pregnancy weight,' Sabara explained. 'We've been on this journey for a while and we learned how there are right ways to do it.'
Trainor insisted she felt 'no shame' about using weight-loss injections, though she stressed that the couple simultaneously focused on portion control.

I'm like, 'No, babe, I'm looking out for you.' Our eyes are hungrier than our stomachs. I blame where we live [because] the portion sizes are ridiculous.'
She added, 'I learned all these little tricks that changed my life. I literally bought smaller plates 'cause I'm like, 'No, you can't put too much rice on there.' … I'm obsessed now with the science of when I work out and build muscle, you have to eat protein or else it's not going to do anything.'
In February 2025, Disick candidly discussed his weight loss, and his use of Mounjaro, during an episode of The Kardashians. Khloé Kardashian asked Disick directly to clear up rumors after fans questioned whether there was a weight loss drug in his fridge during one scene.

QVC Group details TikTok, social content plans

QVC Group hosted its first Super Brand Day on TikTop Shop earlier this month, building on its efforts to expand its reach and investments in social shopping. For eight hours on May 14, QVC Group streamed live content from creators and celebrities on TikTok resulting in its highest viewed and engaged company-hosted livestream to date, a QVC Group spokesperson said. QVC Group plans to expand its TikTok reach internationally, CEO David Rawlinson said during a recent earnings call. Next February, the company will partner with TikTok U.K. Minutes watched on QVC Group's social and streaming platforms grew 26% compared to last year, while streaming monthly active users grew 131%. March was the company's largest non-holiday revenue month. QVC Group said success in its streaming and social businesses is crucial. The company now streams 24/7 on TikTok and cited its most important metric as revenue growth in a recent earnings call. QVC Group estimates the percentage of revenue generated during Q1 through streaming and social platforms was in the mid- to high-single digits. Rawlinson said what's key to the company's social strategy is that it consists of a pre-aggregated audience. 'There are already tens of millions, in some cases, hundreds of millions of people, if not billions, on those platforms,' Rawlinson said on the call. 'And so you get to play in a very growing, large stream of potential customers who are increasingly used to seeing shopping content in their social feeds and who are increasingly converting over to purchases within their social experience. And so that's the magnitude of the opportunity.' Despite QVC Group's financial struggles, the company is going all in on social shopping investments. Among its various social commerce investments, QVC Group's latest targets Gen X. The 'Age of Possibility' platform celebrates women over age 50 with an expanded TikTok partnership and an eight-hour livestream shopping event.
