Nintendo Direct live — all the build-up, news and how to watch the first showcase since Switch 2 launch
The first Nintendo Direct since the launch of the Switch 2 is finally happening. After many online rumors, Nintendo has confirmed its next Direct will be held today (July 31) at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST. It's exciting stuff considering the slate of upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 games is rather thin at present, but don't expect the reveal of a new Mario or Zelda in this Direct. Nintendo has been quick to note this is a 'Partner Showcase,' which means Nintendo-published games won't feature, and instead, the spotlight will be on third-party games and a few indie titles. Of course, that doesn't mean the showcase will be one to skip. There's likely to be plenty of ports of popular games confirmed, and I'd expect at least a couple of new game announcements as well. If you've just picked up a Nintendo Switch 2 restock, then you'll want to tune in to see what games are making their way to the hybrid console in the coming months. Below, I'll be covering all the reveals as they happen and also building up to the Direct showcase. I might even make a few predictions of my own. Watching the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase for July 2025 is a pretty simple task. You just need to head over to Nintendo's YouTube or Twitch channel, and the showcase will go live at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST. In fact, you don't even need to go anywhere to watch live, as I've embedded the direct feed below. I'm a Senior Entertainment Editor at Tom's Guide, and while I grew up a PlayStation kid, I've also got a soft spot for all things Nintendo, and I'm a day-one Switch 2 owner too. My biggest wish for today's Nintendo Direct is a new look at the upcoming FromSoftware exclusive, The Duskbloods.
