The North Carolina basketball roster for 2025-26 is all but set with the exception of another potential late addition in the coming weeks. But now, Hubert Davis and the staff are shifting the focus to future recruiting classes, including 2026.
After landing a top 10 class for 2025 headlined by five-star forward Caleb Wilson, UNC is hoping to reel in another big class. On Thursday, they extended an offer to a point guard in the 2026 class.

Michigan football and Alabama left standing for 4-star DL

The post Michigan football and Alabama left standing for 4-star DL appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Michigan football team is getting closer and closer to getting a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Titan Davis. Davis has narrowed his list of college options down to two, and the Wolverines are still standing. Alabama is the other team fighting for a commitment from the Missouri native. Advertisement 'St. Louis (Mo.) DeSmet Jesuit four-star DL Titan Davis says he's down to two: Alabama and Michigan,' Allen Trieu said in a post. 'His other planned officials are off.' Titan Davis had visits with USC and Penn State scheduled, but those are now off. He already took his visit to Alabama, and Michigan's is coming up later in June. Davis is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He is the #98 player in the 2026 class, the #13 DL and the #2 player in the state of Missouri. Davis currently attends DeSmet High School in St. Louis, MO. Michigan and Alabama are both from home. 'Ascending defensive end with a prototypical frame that could fit into an odd or even front at the next level,' Davis' scouting report reads. 'Began his prep career playing quarterback before flipping to the other side of the ball and finding instant success in the trenches. Flashes the ability to separate and bypass base blocks with his lateral agility. Not the most destructive defender at this stage, but can find a flat back and shoot his hands to gain extension. Solid get-off frequently gives him an advantage in passing situations.' Advertisement There are things that Davis needs to polish in his game, but he seems poised for a strong career at Michigan or Alabama. 'Quick to unleash a bull-rush, but can also rip his way around the corner and has the stride length to finish,' the scouting report continues. 'Enters senior year believed to be north of 6-foot-4, 265 pounds with adequate length in the arms. Must improve pad level and learn how to bring it every single snap, but appears to be rounding into form as he nearly doubled his production as a junior for Missouri's 6A champs. Projects as a potential multi-year contributor and possible impact player for a College Football Playoff contender. Should offer plenty of alignment flex and could very well end up finding a home on the inside depending on how the body matures.' The Michigan football team is hosting Titan Davis on June 20th. The coaching staff needs to have a strong final pitch ready to make sure that they wow him. This would be a big get for the Wolverines. Bill Belichick, North Carolina land surprise in-state 4-star twins

The post Bill Belichick, North Carolina land surprise in-state 4-star twins appeared first on ClutchPoints. North Carolina football and Bill Belichick ignited their June in a massive way. The Tar Heels secured a surprise college football recruiting win Thursday. In the form of a pair of four-star twin brothers. Advertisement UNC landed Zavion and Jayden Griffin-Hayes as its newest verbal commits, Hayes Fawcett of On3 confirmed Thursday afternoon. Both siblings told Fawcett 'The best play for the best,' likely referencing the eight-time Super Bowl winning head coach. But the Griffin-Hayes twins secure a huge recruiting coup for UNC for this reason. North Carolina and Belichick previously lost out on landing another set of twins back in April: Aidan and Andrew Harris, who are also in-state four-stars. Both Matthews, North Carolina natives left out UNC on their short list of school options. The Griffin-Hayes brothers make up for the Harris recruiting loss. Bill Belichick, North Carolina bolster defense with twins Bob Donnan-Imagn Images The siblings hail from nearby Rolesville, N.C. Both are towering new options for Belichick and his coaching staff. Advertisement Zavion Griffin-Hayes is a towering 6-foot-6, 235-pound rusher. Former UNC defensive coordinator Geoff Collins originally courted him to Chapel Hill. Belichick and son Steve, however, continued to make him a priority. Zavion landed nearly 45 scholarship offers including from in-state rivals North Carolina State and Duke. Atlantic Coast Conference heavyweight Miami and College Football Playoff qualifier Georgia also pursued him. Jayden Griffin-Hayes is a leaner option at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds. He's also a three-star per 247Sports composite. However, he's bringing cat-quick rushing angles and versatility to the 'Heels. Belichick has thrived with long, athletic defenders dating back to past UNC legend Lawrence Taylor. Former New England Patriots linebackers Mike Vrabel, Roosevelt Colvin and more recently Jahlani Tavai are other past long Belichick defenders. The ACC program have steadily created new recruiting momentum as Belichick soon coaches his first UNC team. North Carolina landed 6-foot-5 quarterback Travis Burgess on May 21. Belichick even flipped Texas A&M commit Trashawn Ruffin on St. Patrick's Day. The 'Heels now rank No. 15 nationally among 2026 recruiting classes with 17 verbal commits now.
