GTA 6 PC launch window has fans feeling dejected

Yahoo02-05-2025

Grand Theft Auto VI is still, as far as we're aware, due to launch this year.
To date, Rockstar Games has stuck by its fall / autumn 2025 launch window.
That should see the game released in September, October, or November.
It's perhaps worth remembering though that Rockstar Games is owned by Take-Two Interactive, and Take-Two has several other games on its release slate during that window.
Borderlands 4 is planned for 23 September, with NBA 2K26 expected to land earlier that month.
It's for that reason that I think it's far more likely that we'll see GTA VI launch in either October or November.
It's difficult to narrow down the game's release beyond that, and I should stress that this will only be the console version of the game.
At the current time, GTA VI is only slated to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Of course, it's expected that it will launch on PC in time as every other Rockstar title has received a delayed PC launch.
Even still, fans are feeling slightly dejected that the PC release date wasn't brought in line with the console release for such a monumental game like GTA VI.
's reveal trailer remains all that's currently available.
It's unknown when GTA VI will launch on PC but 2027 has been touted as a potential window.
You see, GTA V landed on console in 2013 followed by PC in 2015.
To give you slightly more hope though, Red Dead Redemption 2's PC port followed just one year after its console release, so perhaps GTA VI's PC version will land in 2026.
Either way, fans are likely in for a wait.
'This is so annoying. Why are PC folk having to wait till next year! It should be out at the same time as the consoles. I wanna play it but I don't want to play it on console,' wrote Reddit user ServiusTheBear.
'S**t, I gonna retire by then,' joked MrBruce001, at least I assume they're joking.
Of course, as soon as a PC release update is issued, we'll be here bringing you the latest.

Millions of PS5 Players Can't Buy or Play Gears of War: Reloaded

version won't be available to millions of console owners this August, it has emerged. Microsoft has confirmed that the game will not launch in Japan due to 'regional and platform' restrictions. However, it will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S in the region. Gears of War: Reloaded PS5's Japan release plans has left players puzzled. Initially, it was assumed that the game was simply denied rating by the country's strict rating board, CERO. But things got confusing when it emerged that Gears of War: Reloaded will release on PC and Xbox in Japan. So, what exactly happened here and what 'platform' restrictions is Microsoft talking about? Automaton Media has the answer. For games to release in Japan, they must either be rated by CERO or an international body called IARC (International Age Rating Coalition). On their platforms in Japan, Microsoft and Nintendo allow games that are refused classification by CERO but approved by IARC. Sony, on the other hand, still requires publishers to have CERO's seal of approval for mature games (18+) to be sold on the PS Store in Japan. And since Gears of War: Reloaded has not been approved by CERO, it'll be skipping PS5 in the country. Other platforms are content with the IARC rating, so the launch will go ahead as planned. Automaton Media suggests that Sony currently doesn't have any plans to change its policies in Japan. Here Are The Imminent ‘Stellar Blade' PC Release Times In Your Region

Stellar Blade Stellar Blade is finally emerging from its PlayStation prison, the former exclusive at last heading to PC where it can reach a much wider audience. Stellar Blade is out on PC tonight or tomorrow, depending on your region, and SHIFTUP has released the list of launch times, which you can check out below: June 11, 2025 June 12, 2025 So, if you're in the US, by the time you read this it may just be a few hours away, or already launched and you can play for half the day. Everyone else has a late night or early morning ahead of them. The PC release of Stellar Blade comes just over a year after the PS5 release, which was on April 26, 2024. The debut AAA offering from SHIFTUP, previously known for mobile games like Goddess of Victory: Nikke, was a big success. It was one of the best action games of the year and sold a million units just over a month after release. For that team, for a new IP, that's stellar, pun intended. Now, a sequel is on the way. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder Stellar Blade The game has been updated over the time with some new gameplay elements, though most of the updates focused on adding dozens of new costumes for Eve, its hero. The game and Eve were the center of a strange sort of culture war skirmish where there was a constant refrain of 'this is what female video game characters should look like' and she's still referenced in that capacity to this day. None of that really matters in the end. Stellar Blade is a great action game on its own merits whether you clothe Eve in a sweatshirt or a bikini. It's in the vein of Devil May Cry mixed with Bayonetta and I put fifty hours into the single player offering with a NG+ playthrough. It was one of my top games of last year, and I highly recommend it for PC players who haven't given it a shot yet. If you like action games, I don't think you'll regret it. Microsoft Xbox handheld Ally console release date and details confirmed

Microsoft has revealed its answer to Nintendo's Switch 2, with the handheld Xbox console, the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, long after teasing its arrival. Partnering with Asus, the two consoles are designed to be used in-hand, in the same way that the Switch appeals to gamers on the go. The ROG Xbox Ally is the base console, while the ROG Xbox Ally X is a more premium gadget. Here's everything we know about the ROG Xbox Ally consoles. A handheld console does what it says on the tin, allowing players to play wherever they are, via the cloud, or remotely with their Xbox console. Both consoles will use Windows 11, with the Game Bar allowing you to access your library of games as well as console controls. Microsoft has already confirmed that it will offer games that you can't play elsewhere, which might be enough to entice even long-term Xbox and PC gamers. Indeed, there's a clear focus on trying to attract PC users, with apps like Discord and Twitch also compatible with the handheld. However, there's still a definite Xbox feel to the design of the console, with the typical Xbox button giving players access to chat, apps, and settings, much like on a typical controller. In terms of game access, the handhelds will be compatible with Xbox, Game Pass, and other leading PC storefronts, as well as the promise of exclusive games. Buying the Xbox Ally also gives you instant access to Game Pass, so you can access the hundreds of games in the subscription library to get yourself started. The launch of Xbox Ally will be made in partnership with Roblox, bringing the game – boasting 85 million daily active users – to a handheld console for the first time. Microsoft also suggests in its press release that it intends to bring out games optimised for handheld gaming, saying it is 'working closely with our game developer partners'. The Ally and Ally X both run on AMD processors, similar to the most recent generation of larger major consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. However, it's worth noting that the X model runs on a more advanced version of the Rysen processor, the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme. The base model uses the AMD Ryzen Z2 A. That boosts the RAM from 16GB to 24 and doubles SSD storage from 512GB to 1,024GB. The premium console will also include AI features 'as they come', which suggests that they won't be available at launch. Physically, it also includes impulse triggers for more immersive play. With a holiday launch planned for the end of 2025, the Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X will initially be available in the following countries: Australia Belgium Canada Denmark Finland France Germany Ireland Italy Japan Korea Mexico The Netherlands New Zealand Norway Poland Portugal Saudi Arabia Singapore Spain Sweden Switzerland Thailand Turkey The United Arab Emirates The United Kingdom The United States Availability will soon after follow for other markets. Pricing, compatible accessories, and pre-order details are 'coming soon' according to Microsoft, but you can sign up for email notifications here to be notified first.
