In April, The Sun reported how Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi Alahan, had quit Coronation Street after five years on-screen.
His decision came amid Corrie's ongoing cash crisis and mass cast exodus, which has already seen seven big name stars leave the cobbles.
Now the soap favourite has revealed his normal job as he took to his Instagram page.
Writing alongside a snap, which showed multiple sewing machines along with a number of items waiting to be altered and mended, Adam wrote: 'Helping out at the family business.'
He also tagged the location of the Stitch In Time tailors in a bid to promote his family's business.
ALL CHANGE
Adam's unlikely new side job comes as he prepares to leave the soap after more than five years.
Fans were left devastated when the actor last month revealed that he would be bowing out of the show in the coming months in a bid to focus on "new pastures."
Last year, Adam sparked rumours that he was set to step away from the soap after dropping a number of clues on social media.
He first joined the soap in early 2020 after taking over the role of Aadi when the original actor Zennon Ditchett quit to focus on his studies.
Sources say that while it was big decision to make, Adam is now feeling confident and excited for the future.
Coronation Street's Dev Alahan says his twins Asha and Aadi are about to turn 19
Insiders told The Sun: "He's telling people he's quit, not because he's had enough of the show but his character hasn't had any decent storylines for ages.
"He's had loads of new opportunities coming his way so he already feels like he's made the right decision."
The star has only been making occasional appearances on the cobbles for the past year, and just last month he revealed he had been working on a movie away from the ITV show.
Adam re-shared a photo of himself on set with a group of fellow actors, including Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter, who plays Leela Dexter on the E4 soap.
Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits
Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:
Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.
The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza's grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.
After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.
Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.
Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul's impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.
Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.
The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.
Simon's been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.
Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.
It looks likely she'll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.
Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.
Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.
The pair are starring in new movie called Spice for Life, with Adam playing character Sully.
Alongside the photo, Adam wrote: "Was great working with these lot."

'Captivating' 90s TV drama with a 'rich cast' is available to stream and fans are loving it
'Captivating' 90s TV drama with a 'rich cast' is available to stream and fans are loving it The BBC drama This Life was first broadcast in 1996 and ran for two series and 33 episodes, but it is still considered a classic by fans and has been hailed as the 'best British TV drama ever' Fans are hailing This Life 'the best British TV drama ever' (Image: BBC) Iconic 90s TV drama This Life that had everyone talking around the office water cooler at the time has made a comeback on Amazon Prime. This Life, which first aired in 1996 and spanned 33 episodes over just two series, was included in BFI's list of the 100 greatest British television programmes and has been lauded by fans as the 'best British TV drama ever'. The hard-hitting BBC drama revolves around a group of law graduates in their twenties, embarking on their professional journeys whilst cohabiting in a house in south London. There are no courtroom scenes and instead the drama focuses on their personal lives, encompassing everything from infidelity to addiction. Among the cast members is Andrew Lincoln, who has since enjoyed a successful career in Teachers, Afterlife, The Walking Dead and the film Love, Actually. He will soon be appearing in the new ITV series Coldwater alongside Welsh star Eve Myles. The housemates were embroiled in plenty of drama (Image: BBC) His co-star Jack Davenport has also found success in the Matt Damon film The Talented Mr Ripley, Pirates of the Caribbean and TV series like Coupling and Smash, reports the Mirror. This Life centres on five main characters sharing a home - Edgar 'Egg' Cooke (Lincoln) and his girlfriend Milly (Amita Dhiri), alongside party girl Anna Forbes (Daniela Nardini), her university ex Myles Stewart (Davenport) and Welshman Warren Jones (Jason Hughes), who was grappling with his sexuality. The cast also features Ramon Tikaram (Virdie) as Ferdy, Natasha Little as Rachel, Steven John Shepherd (Karen Pirie) as Jo and Luisa Bradshaw-White (EastEnders) ad Kira. The programme, conceived by Amy Jenkins, evolved into a beloved word-of-mouth sensation and secured its place on the BFI's list of the 100 greatest British television programmes. This Life started in 1996 and spanned 33 episodes (Image: BBC) In 2007 there was a special episode, This Life: 10 Years On, which reunited the main cast and explored their lives a decade after the series ended. The reunion special, centring on Ferdy's death and the resulting gathering of former housemates, attracted 3.5 million viewers. Despite being three decades old and originating from an era long before social media existed, fans are now discovering episodes through streaming platforms and have been flocking to IMDb to share their reactions. One viewer commented: "I still hold firmly to the belief that the last episode of this landmark show is the best 40 mins of British TV drama ever. Any number of storylines coming sharply to a head, the terrific wedding reception with its toilet sex and terrible dancing, darkest secrets coming horrifyingly to light and the legendary punch. "But how sad! If we'd known then that there would never be another series we would have stormed the BBC ourselves. But think positive. The show is endlessly rewatchable, and its influence has lived on in Queer as Folk, Attachments, Teachers, Metropolis, Tinsel Town and most contemporary drama since. Just please, please publish the damn scripts!" The BBC series aired from 1996 to 1997 (Image: BBC) Another said: "Move over Friends this is your more intelligent English big brother. A perfect picture of 90s London through the eyes of young professionals and ordinary blokes and girls. A few cheesy performances by Tikarum but it sort of worked at the time much like the Fonz worked in Happy days at the time. Not a poor performance from a rich cast that all went in to achieve memorable careers. This is a collectors piece for those who lived through and experienced the era in London. Nostalgic and immersive TV." A third added: "Watching This Life almost 30 years after its release is an interesting experience. Although its format has been much copied since the late 90s, it still retains the same freshness and vitality that made it such a captivating watch first time round. "The success of the series stems from the fact that it feels so real. Each of the characters is impressively three-dimensional, with both strengths and weaknesses. They're at that interesting stage of their lives where they're finding their way in the world while also trying to find themselves, and each of them makes some understandable mistakes along the way." Vicky Pattison hit by major blow amid Strictly Come Dancing rumours
Vicky Pattison hit by major blow amid Strictly Come Dancing rumours Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison is reportedly one of the first celebrities to have signed up for the 23rd series of Strictly, but has been warned to put her health first Vicky Pattison has reportedly signed up for Strictly (Image: Mike Marsland, Mike Marsland/WireImagevia Getty Images) Vicky Pattison's hopes of lifting the Strictly Glitterball trophy may already be in jeopardy, following a serious health setback for the former Geordie Shore start. Sources suggest the beloved TV personality remains committed to reaching the dance floor, though she must prioritise her physical health over her professional aspirations. The 37-year-old, who won I'm A Celebrity a decade ago, revealed that she was left practically bed bound last week after developing a trapped nerve in her back whilst undertaking a charity expedition in Iceland. Taking to social media with the news, Vicky explained her susceptibility to this agonising condition, especially during the colder seasons – confessing she could "barely move". With her name reportedly at the forefront of this year's anticipated Strictly sign-ups, insiders suggest the timing couldn't be more unfortunate, reports the Mirror. "She was desperately worried that this wasn't only not going to go away but that it could get worse," they told the Mirror. They add: "Vicky isn't a complainer, so when she says something feels bad, she means it. But she's also a really tough person and has already shown that she can cope with pretty much anything – one thing she's not, is a quitter. She needs to make sure she looks after herself though, that will be the most important thing." They continue: "Strictly has been the number one show on her wish list for years, especially after she went to watch her bestie Pete [Wicks] on it last year. This would be her time to shine and she knows that second chances don't come around often." Vicky's trapped nerve developed following her challenging trek in Iceland with the breast cancer charity CoppaFeel! The condition occurs when excessive pressure is placed on a nerve by surrounding bone or muscle, with symptoms including numbness, aching or burning pain and muscle weakness. Vicky appeared in the crowd during last year's series to support her friend Pete Wicks (Image: PA) Speaking to her 5.5m Instagram followers, Vicky revealed she was unfortunately well-acquainted with the excruciating pain, sharing, "It happens mostly in the winter when I'm cold and all hunched over and tight. "It obviously happened in the trek last week. And I'm just feeling it now because my body has relaxed for the first time in a week. But I can barely bloody move." The timing proves particularly unfortunate for Vicky, the source continues, as it follows shortly after she was unofficially revealed as amongst the first celebrities prepared to commit to the 23rd Strictly series, which begins filming later this summer. The beloved dance competition has encountered its own controversies recently, including allegations of behind-the-scenes bullying and the exits of Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima from the professional roster. Last week, it was revealed that the show's executives were considering offering rehabilitation services to two of its stars following allegations of backstage cocaine use. The Sun newspaper reported that producers are contemplating implementing random drug tests for next year's Strictly Live tour. In response to these claims, a BBC spokesperson stated, "We have clear protocols and policies in place for dealing with any serious complaint raised with us. We would always encourage people to speak to us if they have concerns. It would not be appropriate for us to comment further." Vicky, who hosts a Saturday afternoon programme on Heart radio, is an avid fan of Strictly and was even spotted in the audience last year, enthusiastically cheering on her close friend Pete Wicks. Despite previously confessing that she'd rather "stand in the corner, drink and have a laugh" than hit the dance floor, our insider suggests it's time for Vicky to step into the Strictly limelight – provided she can regain her peak health. "She was in terrible pain with this trapped nerve, and really doesn't want it to mean the end of something she's dreamed about doing. She's watched Strictly for years but she had never felt as confident in herself as she does today – so the timing was worrying. "Dealing with health issues unfortunately isn't new to her, either, but it means she does know how to listen to her body and take care of herself." Vicky, who tied the knot with her long-term partner Ercan Ramadan last year, has previously opened up about her prolonged struggle to receive a diagnosis for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), a condition that triggers insomnia, anxiety, depressive thoughts, and physical discomfort. Article continues below "She's literally feeling all the emotions right now – Strictly isn't a walk in the park," an insider claims. "It's gruelling on the body and the mind, so she needs both to be in excellent condition. But she's a tough cookie so friends and family are convinced she'll do well. She's one determined lady – if anyone can do this, Vicky can."
