This Is When Lady Gaga Will Appear in 'Wednesday'

Ellea day ago
Excuse me, sorry, I just watched all of Wednesday season 2, part 1 and have an important question: Where is Lady Gaga? Did fancams of Wednesday Addams set to 'Bloody Mary' go viral for nothing? Will we ever get to see Mother Monster walk among actual monsters and outcasts at Nevermore Academy? Is all hope lost for a possible on-screen dance sequence to 'Zombieboy'? Where is the pop star and Golden Globe-winning actress?
Thankfully, Gaga's involvement in Wednesday is no marketing stunt by Netflix or an off-screen celebration of 'Prank Day.' She is expected to appear in the second half of season 2, which will arrive in a matter of weeks. Netflix had even confirmed the news back in May. But for those of us (like me) who've been out of the loop, here's what you need to know.
She'll play Rosaline Rotwood, 'a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday,' according to Netflix.
Wednesday's official social accounts also teased the role with an eerie post, saying, 'Cloaked in mystery with a reputation that precedes her. Our paths will surely cross. Welcome to mayhem @LadyGaga.' Not much else is known about Rosaline—she doesn't appear to be based on an original Addams Family character—so viewers will have to stay tuned for the rest of the season to find out more.
Gaga's casting was first reported in November 2024. In August that year, Ortega said during the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice press tour that four episodes of Wednesday season 2 were already filmed. That might explain why Gaga doesn't appear in the first half of the season.
Rosaline joins the cast for season 2, part, 2, which premieres on Netflix of Wednesday, September 3. Just a few more weeks of waiting!
Gaga, Netflix, and the Wednesday team have shared details sparingly. As Gaga told Entertainment Weekly in March 2025, 'I want to keep it extra secret — but, I love Jenna, and I really had an amazing time!'
Ortega similarly tried to stay tight-lipped about Gaga's role. 'There's definitely dances in the show,' she told Entertainment Tonight in March 13. 'I'm not saying anything about her character though! Let her be incredible and amazing. She's great in the show and I don't think she's what people expect her to be.'
The actress did, however, tease how things changed behind the scenes ahead of Gaga's arrival to set. 'They had, like, rolled out this walkway for her to exit from the trailer to the tents. I went to my tent to hang out, and they replaced my dirty tent with, like, brand-new tents,' Ortega told Stephen Colbert. 'I had a barber's chair. They gave me fancy water. Everything. We really did it up for her guys. We really wanted to impress her.'
Yup, to celebrate her arrival to the series, Gaga will also drop a new song called 'Dead Dance,' which will appear in the show, according to Variety. Sources told the outlet that she made the song with producers Andrew Watt and Cirkut, whom she collaborated with on her latest album, Mayhem. There's no release date yet.

I've watched every episode of Netflix's ‘Trainwreck' series — here's the 3 you need to stream first

Netflix's "Trainwreck" documentary series has been dropping new episodes weekly for the last two months, and it's rapidly become one of my favorite shows on the popular streaming service. The series explores 'major public disasters and cultural breakdowns,' looking at everything from the tragedy of 2021's Astroworld Festival crowd crush to an out-of-control party that was dubbed 'Project X' in real life.' Each documentary explores its subject matter with slick presentation, and (for the most part) an attention to detail that really draws you in. There have been nine installments of 'Trainwreck' released on Netflix to date, including the three-parter covering Woodstock '99 released in 2022, and after watching them all, I've picked out the three you need to watch. Let's begin with the 'Trainwreck' that started it all, Woodstock '99. This three-episode mini-series chronicles the disastrous late '90s festival that descended into sheer anarchy. While the original Woodstock in 1969 was all about 'peace, love and flower power,' the revival three decades later was meaner and represented the dramatic shift in culture at the time. Things started off well with the festival gates opening as planned, but high temperatures scorched the attendees, artists like Limp Bizkit riled up the crowd already on the edge of rioting, water supplies dwindled, and by the third day, many of the attendees had gone completely feral. Because 'Trainwreck: Woodstock '99' has three episodes to tell its story, instead of the hour-long format that is standard for most of the series, it's able to slowly build the narrative. Each episode covers a day of the festival, which allows the drama to unfold at a great pace and keep you hooked. Watch "Trainwreck: Woodstock '99" on Netflix now Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. 'Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy' was the first chapter of the series' return this year, and while it debuted on Netflix two months ago, it's still a documentary that I think about regularly. I go to a lot of concerts each year, so the events of the Astroworld Festival in 2021 really impacted me at the time, and this 80-minute feature offers a deeper insight into an avoidable tragedy. For those out of the loop, the festival, curated and headlined by rap artist Travis Scott, was the site of a horrific crowd crush that resulted in the deaths of 10 people. 'Trainwreck' explores how the crush started and what could have been done to prevent it. This documentary isn't exactly entertaining — it's a very somber watch — but it's morbidly fascinating and attempts to hold the people believed to be responsible for the tragedy to account. Watch "Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy" on Netflix now I've never particularly seen the appeal of a cruise vacation. Being trapped on a boat with thousands of other people isn't my idea of a holiday. But if I had ever lingering curiosity to see what taking a cruise trip was like, 'Trainwreck: Poop Cruise' has well and truly stamped that out. This (more light-hearted) installment of 'Trainwreck' looks at a cruise voyage that proved to be a complete disaster for those onboard and quickly became a huge story for the watching world. In 2013, the Carnival Triumph ship left Mexico on its return to the U.S., when a fire in the engine room damaged the ship's propulsion. Not only that, but power and sanitation systems were also knocked out. This resulted in the ship being stranded, floating aimlessly in the ocean as passengers and crew endured food shortages, lack of basic amenities (like working air conditioning) and raw sewage flooding the entire ship. This 'Trainwreck' is pretty stomach-turning but also a little funny. Watch "Trainwreck: Poop Cruise" on Netflix now

Binged Wednesday Already? Here's When Part 2 Is Out (And What To Watch While You Wait)

Wednesday fans' patience was finally rewarded this week when, almost three years on since the first season began streaming, new episodes finally debuted on Netflix. Unfortunately, the wait isn't quite over, though. You see, as Netflix tends to do with its biggest releases, the second season of Wednesday was split into two, so while the first four are available to stream now, there's still a four-week wait until the second half of the series arrives on the platform. How you fill in that time is up to you, but we do have some suggestions for things to stream just for Wednesday devotees… What to stream on Netflix while you wait for the latest episodes of Wednesday season 2? Of course, Wednesday Addams has existed long before Tim Burton and Netflix put their unique spin on the character. While Jenna Ortega has become synonymous with the role since Wednesday's premiere in 2022, many would argue that the definitive version of the character was Christina Ricci's, in 1991's The Addams Family and the far superior, laugh-out-loud hilarious follow-up, 1993's Addams Family Values. As luck would have it, both of those films are currently streaming on Netflix, starring an incredible cast that includes Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Carol Kane and Joan Cusack in the oh-so-meme-able role of Debbie Jellinsky. Meanwhile if you're looking for something creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky and all-together-ooky, but still family friendly, the 2019 animated film The Addams Family is currently on Prime Video, as is its 2021 sequel. These animated movies feature Oscar Isaac and Charlize Theron as the voices of Gomez and Morticia Addams, while the family is completed by the likes of Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler and, curiously, Snoop Dogg as Cousin Itt. Alternatively, if Wednesday has got you curious to dive into more of Tim Burton's catalogue, Beetlejuice and Corpse Bride are both streaming on Netflix, while the more recent sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is on Now. Many of Tim Burton's other notable projects, including Edward Scissorhands, Alice In Wonderland and The Nightmare Before Christmas (which, notably, he produced but did not direct) are also on Disney+. When is the second half of Wednesday season 2 coming out? The final four episodes in the series will arrive on Netflix on Wednesday 3 September. Excitingly, one of these episodes will feature Lady Gaga's much-hyped cameo, with the Grammy winner having also apparently recorded a new song to coincide with her appearance. A third season of Wednesday is also confirmed to be in the works, with showrunner Alfred Gough teasing: 'Our goal for season three is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can. 'We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday. We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in season three!' It's not yet known when production on the third season will begin, though, or when we can expect to see it on Netflix. Wordle hints today for #1,509: Clues and answer for Wednesday, August 6

Hey, there! We've reached the midway point of the week, and we hope things are going splendidly for you thus far. If you're looking for some assistance with today's Wordle, you're in the right place. Here's our daily Wordle guide with some hints and the answer for Wednesday's puzzle (#1,509). It may be that you're a Wordle newcomer and you're not completely sure how to play the game. We're here to help with that too. What is Wordle? Wordle is a deceptively simple daily word game that first emerged in 2021. There is one five-letter word to deduce every day by process of elimination. The daily word is the same for everyone. Wordle blew up in popularity in late 2021 after creator Josh Wardle made it easy for players to share an emoji-based grid with their friends and followers that detailed how they fared each day. The game's success spurred dozens of clones across a swathe of categories and formats. The New York Times purchased Wordle in early 2022 for an undisclosed sum. The publication said that players collectively played Wordle 5.3 billion times in 2024. So, it's little surprise that Wordle is one of the best online games and puzzles you can play daily. How to play Wordle To start playing Wordle, you simply need to enter one five-letter word. The game will tell you how close you are to that day's secret word by highlighting letters that are in the correct position in green. Letters that appear in the word but aren't in the right spot will be highlighted in yellow. If you guess any letters that are not in the secret word, the game will gray those out on the virtual keyboard. However, you can still use those letters in subsequent guesses. You'll only have six guesses to find each day's word, though you still can use grayed-out letters to help narrow things down. It's also worth remembering that letters can appear in the secret word more than once. Wordle is free to play on the NYT's website and apps, as well as on Meta Quest headsets and Discord. The game refreshes at midnight local time. If you log into a New York Times account, you can track your stats, including the all-important win streak. How to play Wordle more than once a day If you have a NYT subscription that includes full access to the publication's games, you don't have to stop after a single round of Wordle. You'll have access to an archive of more than 1,500 previous Wordle games. So if you're a relative newcomer, you'll be able to go back and catch up on previous editions. In addition, paid NYT Games members have access to a tool called the Wordle Bot. This can tell you how well you performed at each day's game.
