
Oreo and Reese's bow to fans' decade-long demand for treat they've been 'begging' for
The two iconic brands have joined forces to launch Oreo Cups and Reese's Cookies, limited-time treats that blend the best of both worlds.
The new goodies have quickly gone viral, with fans calling them the snack mashup of the decade.
Social media buzzed in the days leading up to the release, as sharp-eyed followers spotted subtle hints — like blue and orange accents popping up on each brand's Instagram page.
Oreo and Reese's also started following and hyping each other's posts, fueling speculation of a major collab.
Now that the treats are finally here, fans are calling it a snack dream come true. 'This is the greatest day of my existence,' one Instagram user wrote.
'My all-time favorite is Reese's and my son's is Oreo — this is the combo we needed!' another posted.
The rollout is limited, but the hype is anything but. Whether you're Team Peanut Butter or Team Creme-Filled Cookie, this sweet pairing is winning over hearts — and taste buds — everywhere.
Oreo has been going hard with limited-time cookies, releasing products made through collaborations with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, as well as Post Malone.
With cookie fans having been devastated over the axe of Oreo O's cereal, the brand is hoping the collaboration will cheer them up.
'This collaboration redefines what it means to be a snacking leader by tapping into exactly what our fans are asking for,' said Michelle Deignan, vice president, of Oreo, US.
'As a 110+ year-old brand, we're constantly looking for ways to disrupt the snacking market. What better way to show our fans we listen to their evolving snacking needs than to partner with the REESE'S brand to deliver the collab of their dreams.'
Reese's fans had already rejoiced over it's limited-edition red velvet cups. With fans fueling the fire, the brand realized it was time for the team up dreams to come true.
'When we heard the incredible demand for a Reese's and Oreo mashup, we knew we had to make magic happen,' said Dan Mohnshine, vice president, US confection marketing, The Hershey Company.
'This isn't just another product launch — it's two legendary brands coming together to create something absolutely unprecedented that'll blow minds and taste buds everywhere.'
With the dream becoming a reality, longtime fans of The Parent Trap are now calling on the companies to make Lindsay Lohan a spokesperson.

Reese's has been facing tough competition from other brands looking to satisfy their fans.
Percy Pig came out strong in the candy wars last March by bringing its Gummy Candy to the US.
Prior to its release, the popular UK candy received shout outs from A-listers like Olivia Rodrigo and Katy Perry.
Butterfinger joined in April by releasing a limited-time Salted Caramel Butterfinger, it's first new flavor in 10 years.
The flavor was an instant success, but it's removal from shelves in June broke thousands of hearts.

Sweeney, at 27, has surfaced as a sex symbol as of late. At the same time, an American Eagle tagline in her ad - 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' - didn't sit well with left-leaning audiences. Some left-wingers have claimed that the ad's deliberate word play on the word 'genes' is racist.
