Stars of new thriller The Assassin appear as trailer released

Prime Video also released the action-packed trailer for The Assassin on Thursday, which features Hawes as retired assassin Julie – who is forced to fight for survival alongside her estranged son Edward, played by Freddie Highmore. The trailer shows Hawes transformed into a gun-wielding action woman, complete with blood-splattered face and clothes. 'I used to do bad things. For money,' she says in one scene. Hawes and Highmore appeared for a photocall at the Soho Hotel in central London alongside other actors who appear in the new series, including Shalom Brune-Franklin and Devon Terrell. The six-part thriller sees the characters Julie and Edward forced to flee an idyllic remote Greek island and go on the run together when Julie's dangerous past catches up with her. Hawes previously said she felt 'so lucky' to have spent last summer in Athens with the 'wonderful' Highmore and the 'high-calibre' cast and crew. The series is the latest project by writing duo brothers Harry and Jack Williams, who produced the hit comedy Fleabag and created the thriller series The Tourist starring Jamie Dornan. Hawes has previously starred in hit series including Line Of Duty, Bodyguard and Spooks, as well as Channel 4 drama It's A Sin and ITV political drama Stonehouse. Highmore, who starred as the titular character in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory as a child, previously said it was a 'joy' to work on the project. 'It doesn't get better than a Greek adventure alongside the lovely and incomparable Keeley Hawes,' he added.

Speaking with comedian Katherine Ryan and professional boxer Derek Chisora on his Let Me Tell You Something podcast, he said: "I broke a vow. I feel my level of punishment was up there. I had to take it and have some broad shoulders and handle it, and I feel like I did that." Jermaine likened his messages to Fifty Shades of Grey lothario Christian Grey, continuing: "It was sexting, as simple as that, but it was initiated to me and then I responded. "It wasn't just me going out of my way and it definitely 100 percent wasn't 'me 'if you do this I will help you in your work'. "There was no power element to it going on." He then admitted his personal life and marriage weren't in a good place at the time, though he insisted it was no excuse for his behaviour. "There's a lot of stuff with me and Ellie where we weren't in the best place ourselves," he said. "And things were just spiralling a little bit. In no way is that blame. I'm fully accepting responsibility. "I dealt with it wrong and got heavily punished for it by losing pretty much everything that I had at that time." Though the fallout of the messages was costly, Jermaine claimed the BBC had him "locked in a creative prison". Jermaine Jenas opens up on split from wife Ellie and reveals he never wanted to separate He was sacked in an excruciating online meeting with HR and senior corporation execs, including being shown a string of X-rated messages he'd sent. The pair had explosive rows but, Jermaine admitted they quietly worked through their issues with the help of couple's therapy. Heartbroken ex-model Ellie announced the couple were separating in March. She wrote: "I never imagined I would have to share something so personal with the public, but given the situation, I feel it's necessary. "After 16 years together and 4 wonderful children, Jermaine and I have decided to part ways. "We will remain friends and continue to co-parent. We kindly ask that you respect our children's privacy during this challenging time. "Thank you, Ellie." The pair had been married for 14 years and share two daughters, Geneva and Olivia, and son, Jacob. Jermaine also has an older daughter, Sancha, from a previous relationship. Nandy demands ‘accountability at highest levels' after Bob Vylan broadcast

Lisa Nandy told the Commons she has heard from the BBC but was 'not satisfied with the response'. Punk duo Bob Vylan led chants of 'death, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)' during their Worthy Farm set last weekend, and face an investigation by Avon and Somerset Police. London's Metropolitan Police is also investigating the two Bobs – who perform using the aliases Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan – for allegedly making similar comments at Alexandra Palace in May. Conservative shadow culture secretary Stuart Andrew told the Commons: 'Given the BBC are seemingly able to pull live broadcasts when things go wrong at football matches, for example, it's extraordinary that this didn't happen on this occasion. 'Can the Secretary of State update the House on the discussions she's had with the BBC, and why the same thing didn't happen on this occasion? Lisa Nandy said she expects more answers from the BBC 'to be forthcoming imminently' (PA) 'What due diligence was carried out by them about the acts that were performing? 'And given as she's said we're still waiting for a response to the previous Hamas documentary, is she satisfied with those conversations she's had and the urgency that the organisation are taking?' Ms Nandy replied: 'No, the answer is that I'm not satisfied with the response that I've had.' The Culture Secretary previously made a ministerial statement in the Commons on Monday, when she said 'it should have been foreseeable that there would be problems with broadcasts'. She told MPs then that she wanted 'rapid action to make sure this cannot happen again'. In Thursday's update, Ms Nandy told MPs: 'I have received a reply to the very many questions that were raised by colleagues on all sides. 'I'm not satisfied with that, and I have gone back to the BBC leadership to ask for further information, in particular, as he mentioned, about the failure to pull the live feed, about the due diligence that was done prior to deciding to screen this act, and also about the level of senior oversight that took place in the BBC during the Glastonbury weekend. Just as artists can't hide behind artistic expression for vile commentary, neither can the BBC hide behind independence for accountability Stuart Andrew, shadow culture secretary 'I think the BBC leadership will hear and have heard the strength of feeling in this House about this, and I expect further answers to be forthcoming imminently.' The corporation removed the documentary Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone from its online iPlayer platform in February after it emerged its 13-year-old narrator was the son of a Hamas official. In a follow-up question, Mr Andrew said: 'I'm as disappointed as she is that they haven't been able to come back with even basic facts. 'There were hundreds of BBC staff there and not being able to identify who ultimately had the final decision on whether to broadcast or not is not acceptable, and I think the chairman (Samir Shah) needs to inform her as a matter of urgency who that was and what action they are going to take. 'While I absolutely understand the independence of the BBC, just as artists can't hide behind artistic expression for vile commentary, neither can the BBC hide behind independence for accountability, and I hope she knows she has the full support of this side of the House as she pushes them for clarity.' Ms Nandy said she was 'grateful' that Mr Andrew had made 'the very important distinction between independence and accountability'. She continued: 'Given the seriousness of what happened – and particularly we heard in the House and I was able to bring to the House the absolute shocking stories of the impact that this has had on the Jewish community in this country – given the seriousness of this, I would expect there to be accountability at the highest levels.'
