Meghan Markle finally explains why she hit a ‘pause' on As Ever. What to expect now
Back in March, Meghan Markle introduced her lifestyle brand, As Ever, with a curated line of cookies, jams, teas, and more and by April, her entire first drop had sold out within minutes. However, those who wanted to buy the products were kept waiting when no other info was released. Some thought production had completely ceased, though people close to the brand say it was not true. Now, in a 3 June post on the brand's official Instagram, she wrote, 'To all who've been wondering and waiting, thank you! Your favorites are returning, plus a few NEW things we can't wait to show you. Coming this excited!' On the show, Meghan explained to her guest, Tina Knowles, why she put As Ever on hold. 'It takes a long time with products. You have to test them, and then you gotta, a lot of times, go all the way and start all over again,' Knowles said. Meghan chimed in, 'I know, trust me.' 'You can say, 'Oh, I made this in my house' ... I'm going, 'I just picked these strawberries, and it's so great! Look, I just put a little bit of sugar and some Meyer lemon,' and you try to scale that up and you're wanting to manage expectations, but you want to share the thing you've worked so hard on,' Meghan added alluding to her own jam. 'Then what do you do? You say, OK. We planned as best as we could,' the Suits star said. 'Are we going to replenish and sell out again in an hour, or is that annoying as a customer?' On This Day In 1993: Shane Warne Stuns Cricket World With 'Ball Of The Century'
Last Updated: On this day in 1993: Shane Warne bowled the "ball of the century" to dismiss Mike Gatting in the Ashes, marking a turning point in his career. On This Day In 1993: Spin wizard Shane Warne 's legendary career was glittered with some of the most awe-inspiring moments on the field. From his mesmerising leg-spinners to the straight-going flippers, Warne brought many tricks to the fore and left many batters perplexed during his heyday. But the moment that came to define him was reserved for England stalwart Mike Gatting on this day in 1993. Playing his first ever Ashes, the then 23-year-old Warne unfurled perhaps the greatest trick up his sleeve, the delivery that later came to be known as the 'ball of the century'. Less than a year after an unimpressive initiation in Test cricket, Warne turned his fortunes and became an overnight sensation with a leg-spinner that made even the experienced Gatting look clueless for how sharply it went past his outside edge. The dream delivery from the magician came in the first innings on Day 2 in the Manchester Test, carrying the most perfect revs, drift, dip and vicious turn. The ball from over-the-wicket deviated a long way after pitching leg-stump and rushed past Gatting's outside edge to hit the top of his off-stump. The moment the bails were dislodged, Warne roared amidst a jam-packed Old Trafford crowd while Gatting stood still in disbelief, unable to truly grasp what had happened. Warne's Gatting dismissal made waves and kicked off his love affair with English soil where he dismantled the hosts many times in Ashes contests during his career. The charismatic cricketer bagged the 'Player of the Match' award in his very first away Ashes Test with figures of 4/51 and 4/86 in Australia's massive win. Warne went on to take a glorious 708 Test wickets, the second highest by a spinner in Tests, including a stellar 129 scalps in England at an average of 21.94 with 8 five-wicket hauls. On the 28th anniversary of the famous ball of the century, Warne had hailed it as a moment that changed his life and pulled Gatting's leg, saying Thank you for missing it completely. 'This day changed my life 28 years ago (1993). I was just 23 years old and playing in my first ever #ashes series & this was my first ball. Still can't believe it happened. Thanks for missing it Mr Gatting & making this ball become what is now known as the #ballofthecentury hahaha," the legend wrote in an Instagram post back in 2021. 'I took full responsibility': Kayla Nicole opens up on having full custody and being a single parent after split from Travis Kelce
In a refreshingly candid episode of her podcast The Pre-Game, Kayla Nicole revealed the emotional and financial toll of taking full custody of the dogs she once shared with NFL star . Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Though she never names Kelce directly, the longtime on-again, off-again relationship they shared from 2017 to 2022 is well known—and so are their two dogs, Chauncey and Rambo. Kayla Nicole opens up about life after Travis Kelce and the cost of being a solo pet parent During a heartfelt conversation with guest Nazanin Mandi, the topic of post-breakup pet custody came up. Mandi explained how she and ex-husband Miguel now each care for one of their cats, prompting Nicole to reflect on her own situation. 'I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs,' she shared. 'I took full responsibility.' "The Power to Recreate Your Identity,' Nazanin Mandi Tells All That full responsibility hasn't come cheap. 'I had a dog bill the other day that was $2,000,' she said, adding with a laugh, 'And I love my kids, but how did y'all come to that conclusion because that's impressive?' Nicole admired the maturity behind Mandi's arrangement with Miguel, noting, 'That speaks to the relationship you guys still have. That means you guys are in a good, healthy, safe space to be able to make adult decisions. ' Nicole's role as a pet mom began during her relationship with Kelce, when she first introduced Chauncey in a 2017 Instagram post filled with humor and love. 'I would like to formally introduce you all to our son Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First,' she wrote, noting his quirks like eating his own poop and burying it in the couch. 'Me love him,' she ended, adding the hashtag #NationalTakeYourSonToWorkDay. While Nicole has made subtle nods to Kelce in past interviews, she's growing weary of being defined by that chapter of her life. On a recent Second Wind podcast, she expressed frustration over being labeled as "Travis Kelce's ex." She explained, 'You sit down and you do an hour-long interview with someone and the headline is maybe a one sentence that you said... It's like, 'Damn, girl, did you listen to anything?''
