Exclusive - Vishal Pandey responds to trolls after Cannes debut; says 'I'm here for my film, not just fashion'
Vishal has now responded to those comments. 'Some people think I came to Cannes just to walk the red carpet and show off outfits. Now I know how hard I worked on my outfits but I came here because my film is part of the festival. And that's something I've always dreamed of,' Vishal said.
He also explained how many influencers have been attending Cannes mainly to show their fashion, and this may have created the wrong impression.
'I know many influencers come here just for fashion, and maybe that's why people are judging. But for me, it was never about just dressing up—it was about being here with a purpose,' he added.
Vishal opened up about his hard work and passion for storytelling. "I've spent years sweating on crowded sets and cutting reels at 2 a.m. so one day a roomful of strangers could feel a story I helped tell. This moment means everything to me.
