Love Island villa shaken up as 'THREE couples switch partners' in dramatic re-coupling just days before final
Love Island is heading for a complete shake-up as the final gets closer. The popular ITV2 series is nearing the end after a bunch of sexy singles have spent the last seven weeks getting to know each other. Things have heated up in the last few days, with the Grafties taking a toll on the remaining couples. And things are about to take a complete turn, according to reports. The Sun has claimed that three couples have switched their partners as that £50,000 prize gets closer. The villa's dynamic could be soon set to change after a brutal re-coupling ceremony. The couples have not yet been announced, but it's thought viewers will find out during Sunday's episode. A source told the publication: 'It's fair to say the fallout of the Grafties has had major repercussions. 'No one would've seen this re-coupling coming a week ago.' The final is fast-approaching, with it taking place on August 4. Daily Mail has reached out to ITV for comment. It comes after the very surprising casting method used by Love Island bosses to select contestants for the show has been revealed. It's been reported that ITV execs have admitted to using artificial intelligence as part of the casting process for the reality TV show. After the cast of the 2025 series was revealed earlier this year, fans were quick to mock the newbies as 'clones' of the previous stars, with the likes of Megan Forte Clarke being compared to 2019 islander Maura Higgins. The villa's dynamic could be soon set to change after a brutal re-coupling ceremony And now The Sun reports that automated technology has been used to whittle down the thousands of applicants for the show. Speaking as ITV announced its half-year results, ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall shared: 'We will use AI in any way we can to make what we do more efficient. 'And a great example of that for me from (ITV) Studios is they're using a tool where it's a smart editing assistance and it's about speed and quality. And they used it for Love Island and casting this year.' An ITV spokesperson confirmed that AI was not directly used to make casting decisions, but rather to edit hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels for the team to watch. They shared: 'It simply assists with the editing of audition tapes during the casting period. 'We get thousands and thousands of applications every year and we hold face to face auditions. 'When we get to the stage of narrowing it down to hundreds of prospective Islanders and we want to share audition highlights on a reel with the ITV commissioning team, to support the casting decision, we use the software (Quickture along with an Adobe editing programme) to edit the hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels.' They added that the process means the casting team can 'spend more time researching' and looking for more prospective Islanders.

Coronation Street's Carla 'makes Becky discovery' as she vows to get Lisa answers
Coronation Street viewers will see Carla Connor come face-to-face with baddie Logan Radcliffe next week as she's determined to help partner Lisa Swain move on after past trauma Carla Connor is on a mission next week on Coronation Street, with a new spoiler preview revealing she's determined to get answers about Becky Swain. Judging by the spoiler clip she could get to the bottom of it all, as she appears to make a discovery about Becky, the late wife of her partner Lisa Swain. Lisa has faced turmoil recently, forced to confront her past and the death, in the line of duty, of her wife Becky. She died years earlier, and Lisa and daughter Betsy Swain have struggled to move past it. So when questions were raised earlier this year about whether Becky could have been in trouble and may have been a corrupt officer, Lisa's heartache and the questions surrounding her death escalated. New information about what happened to her and possible new suspects sent Lisa on a downward spiral that she's still moving on from now. It's gotten to a point where Lisa has to know the truth, and she's digging away. Betsy has also had a go at figuring out whether her mum Becky was actually on the wrong side of the law, and now it's Carla's turn. Seeing Lisa struggle with therapy and with people looking into Becky's case, Carla is desperate to do something. So she decides to visit Logan in prison, just like Betsy did months earlier. It had been claimed that Logan and brother Matty were behind the wheel of the car that killed Becky in a hit and run. With questions about whether there was more to her death and what Becky may have been secretly involved in, it's clear Logan knows more than he is letting on. So when Carla asks for answers, she's left coming to her own conclusion after a hint from the prisoner. She asks Logan: "Are you gonna tell me about Becky or what?" Logan taunts her though, no doubt teasing he could drop her in it with Lisa. He says: "Does Swain know you're here? T ake that as a no. So you wanna know the truth about backhand Becky?" Carla is aware of what he's just called her, and takes this as the biggest clue yet that Becky was in fact dodgy and Logan knows all about it. So does Logan know what went on back then and what led to Becky's death? Carla asks: "Are you saying she was dodgy?" Logan then tries to backtrack and suggests he was referring to her tennis skills, smirking which tells Carla everything she needs to know. She adds: "Was she a bent copper or not Logan?" Scheming Logan says: "Maybe, then again maybe not." It's then he makes it clear he is "open to negotiation" and wants paying for his information. Carla asks how much, but the clip ends before we hear any more about what he wants or what he knows. But could Carla get the details Lisa so desperately needs, and will the truth about Becky finally be revealed?
