Sophie Turner recalled a Comic-Con party where a famous actress accused her of flirting with her fiancé, leading to a dramatic breakup that night.
Sophie Turner has made a surprising revelation about a wild night from her early Game of Thrones days. During her guest appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on August 14, the 29-year-old actress shared a story that left audiences stunned.
According to Sophie, over a decade ago she was attending San Diego Comic-Con with her co-star Maisie Williams when an unexpected moment changed the course of the night. 'That night was actually quite crazy for me, it went really south really quick," Sophie admitted.
She explained that she was with her childhood best friend, who spotted an actor she admired. Wanting to help, Sophie simply waved hello to the man — not realising what was about to unfold.
Accusation From a Famous Actress
Later that evening, Sophie recalled being confronted by a well-known actress. 'She's a famous actress, and I was like, 'I have to go and tell her how much she means to me,'" Sophie shared. But instead of a friendly exchange, she was shocked when the woman accused her of stepping out of line.
According to Sophie, the actress told her directly: 'Can you stop f—— flirting with my fiancé?" The X-Men star said she was left baffled, responding, 'Who's your fiancé?"
The actress then pointed to the man Sophie had casually waved at earlier. 'I have no idea who this man is," Sophie stressed. What's more shocking is that the engaged couple reportedly called off their relationship that very night. 'Turns out, I think they broke their engagement off that night because of my [wave]," Sophie laughed, joking about the unintended fallout.
While Sophie may have inadvertently ended someone else's engagement, she also experienced her own whirlwind romance. She began dating singer Joe Jonas in 2016 after connecting on Instagram. The pair got engaged in 2017 and married in two ceremonies in 2019 — a spontaneous Las Vegas wedding followed by a grand celebration in France. They share two daughters, Willa and Delphine.
Sadly, their marriage ended in 2023 when Joe Jonas filed for divorce, citing that their relationship was 'irretrievably broken." Despite the split, Sophie and Joe are now on good terms and focused on co-parenting their children. Sophie has since moved on and is currently dating British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.
Even though Sophie's personal life has gone through ups and downs, her candid Comic-Con confession proves she still knows how to deliver a story that gets everyone talking.

Will fully cooperate for release of The Devil: Actor Darshan

Agency: PTI Bengaluru, Aug 16 (PTI) Kannada actor Darshan on Saturday said he would 'fully cooperate" for the release of his film 'The Devil'. He also expressed confidence that his 'celebrities" — as he calls his fans — will also stand by his decision. The message was conveyed through his wife Vijayalakshmi's Instagram account. Directed by Prakash Veer, the first song of the film was supposed to have been released on August 15. But with the Supreme Court cancelling his bail, Darshan was taken into custody a day before, on August 14. Following which, the plans for the film were reportedly put on hold. However, Darshan said his first duty is to support the directors who believed in him and the producers who have invested crores of money in him. 'So, I hope that all the work of my film 'The Devil' will proceed without any hindrance. I hereby inform you that you (makers of the film) have my full cooperation. And I firmly believe that my celebrities (fans) will consent to this," Darshan is quoted as saying in his wife's Instagram post. Darshan had wrapped up the film in July. The reshooting of the film started in February after the actor was released on regular bail. 'Cinema is an entertainment medium and should be viewed only from the perspective of entertainment," the actor said further through his wife's post. Darshan was arrested on June 11, 2024, in connection with Renukaswamy murder case. Darshan was granted interim bail on medical grounds after he claimed back pain. He was then granted regular bail by the Karnataka High Court in mid-December. PTI JR ROH view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma Charms Audience With ‘Pehla Nasha' On Piano

Last Updated: Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma wowed Raj Bhavan guests, including the Governor, by playing Pehla Nasha on a 150-year-old piano. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma drew applause and smiles at Raj Bhavan after delivering a soulful rendition of the Bollywood classic Pehla Nasha on a 150-year-old piano. The audience, which included Governor C H Vijayashankar, was visibly impressed, with the Governor seen praising the CM's piano skills. The video of the song, from the 1992 film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, has since been shared widely on social media, earning Conrad Sangma praise for his musical talent.
