The city was buzzing with eager anticipation ahead of the mega Live '25 tour shows.
The Gallagher brothers made their long awaited return to the stage, playing a whopping 23 songs from their impressive back catalogue including Roll With It, Stand By Me, Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger.
Noel's daughter Anais was in the crowd as she rocked out to her uncle and dad's numerous hit tracks.
The 25-year-old has attended shows at all the tour stops so far including Cardiff, Manchester and London.
And last night, she posted a snap on Instagram while in the crowd at the Murrayfield gig.
The model and photographer posed as she held up a peace sign while wearing a green Adidas Celtic tracksuit top.
Anais' mother Meg Mathews, who was married to Noel from 1997 until 2001, has also been seen at previous concerts on the Live '25 tour.
The socialite has been a big supporter of Oasis' comeback, so she was there to show her support on the tour's first night.
During the comeback gig in Edinburgh, Liam Gallagher took a furious swipe at a Scottish council, branding them f*****g slags onstage.
The 52-year-old, called out snooty Edinburgh council officials over their recent remarks minutes after walking out to a sell-out crowd.
Richard Ashcroft takes swipe at Edinburgh Council during Oasis gig
We previously revealed that councillors said punters at the shows will be mainly 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room' in secret safety briefings.
Papers released under freedom of information laws reveal that officials expect 'medium to high intoxication' and a 'substantial amount of older fans' among the 210,000 gig-goers.
And in an apparent dig at the weight of punters set to pile into bars and hotels, they add: 'Middle-aged men take up more room. Consider this when working out occupancy.'
Liam blasted the comments during last night's show and said to the cheering crowd: 'What about Edinburgh council, the f****** slags.
SOME MIGHT PAY
OASIS fans are set to pump an astonishing £136million into the Scots economy - double the boost from Taylor Swift's gigs.
More than 200,000 will flock to the capital to see the band, led by Noel and Liam Gallagher - and experts say they'll splurge cash in local hotels, bars and shops.
One said: "It's a major economic event."
Research from One loans firm Novuna Personal Finance estimates mad-for-it diehards will fork out £32million on food and drink, £27.5million on shops and leisure along with £6.2million for their accommodation.
When added to travel, concert tickets and merchandise, the total spend will be £136.6million.
Novuna marketing chief Theresa Lindsay said last night: "The return of Oasis to Edinburgh is a landmark moment.
"With fans expected to spend well over £100million in just three nights, it's proof that live music powers our cities far beyond the arena gates."
The cash bonanza will be despite city councillors describing Oasis fans as 'fat, old, drunk and lairy'.
"The amount of money we're going to bring in, they'll split with their posh, ugly mates.
"Still waiting for a f****** apology.'
After the Edinburgh shows, Oasis will head over to Ireland and play two gigs at Croke Park in Dublin on August 16 and 17.
Oasis then heads over Canada and America for gigs in Toronto, Chicago, LA and Mexico City before returning to London for two more dates at Wembley at the end of September.
They then move on to Asia, Australia and South America, finally ending their tour on November 23 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The childhood sweethearts had started dating in 2015, and Emily was heartbroken when Ryan was sent home after a sing off against divisive rapper, Honey G. However, there were only tears of joy on Friday when the couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony near Glasgow. Emily, 26, shared a series of snaps from her big day on Instagram and captioned them: "Mr & Mrs Lawrie." The singer - who performs under the name ili - looked beautiful in a flowing wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline. Meanwhile Ryan - who writes songs for other artists under the moniker KoolKid - wore a traditional Scottish kilt. One picture saw Ryan sweep his new wife into his arms and tilt her backwards for a kiss at the altar, while another showed the newlyweds laughing as they cuddled on the grass in the sunshine. The couple were also seen taking to the dancefloor at their reception for their first dance, with their friends and family all crowded around to watch. Later, Emily switched into a second dress so she could really bust a move. It was a short, strapless white dress covered in pearls and she teamed it with a silver pair of Crocs. Oasis' Croke Park concert LIVE: Noel Gallagher mobbed as he makes pub visit
Oasis are just an hour away from their first Irish gig in 16 years. Noel and Liam Gallagher are tonight headlining Dublin's Croke Park, joined by Cast and Richard Ashcroft. The once warning brothers will perform at the national stadium tonight, with a second concert tomorrow – playing their biggest hits to around 164,000 die-hard fans. But Dublin also holds a special place in the Gallagher's hearts. The Mancunian brothers have spoken about their ties to Ireland through their Irish-born parents, Peggy and Thomas. Dublin is the fifth stop on the mammoth Oasis Live'25 tour, having already performed in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh. After tomorrow's show, they'll have a short break before heading over to Canada to complete the rest of the world leg of the tour. But before taking to the stage, Noel had hoped to have a quiet drink in the city; however, he was mobbed by fans, but made time to chat to them and sign memorabilia. The concert comes just days after a fan who had travelled from Italy to see the band perform in Edinburgh sadly died just hours before the concert. We'll be bringing you live updates throughout the night. 19:31Daniel Bird What time are Oasis on stage? Noel, Liam, Bonehead, Andy Bell and Gem Archer are due on stage in less than an hour. They are scheduled to walk out at 8:15, to F***in' in the Bushes before belting out Hello. Their set is set to last for two hours, and each night on previous dates, they have finished on time. 19:26Daniel Bird Noel mobbed by fans Noel had hoped for a quiet drink at Brady's Clockhouse in Maynooth but was left surrounded by fans. He didn't seem fazed, though, as the Britpop icon posed for photos with fans and signed autographs. An Oasis fan who bumped into Noel in the pub described him as "bang on" and "like a normal lad". Ryan King managed to meet Noel before he returned to his hotel - and even secured an autograph on his bucket hat. Speaking to the Irish Mirror, he revealed: "The security told us to leave him but he said 'Come on' and he signed a T-shirt, a hat and a few vinyls for the lads. "He was nice, he was bang on, he's like a normal lad."

BBC Casualty's Sammy T Dobson 'hounded' with messages from fans after 'brutal' scenes
Casualty's Sammy T. Dobson, who plays Doctor Nicole Piper has opened up on the 'intense' reaction she faced from viewers after her brutal onscreen breakup in the BBC drama Casualty fans were left gobsmacked at the end of the last series, when Doctor Nicole Piper (Sammy T. Dobson) broke up with her girlfriend, Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni), after she revealed she was an alcoholic. Nicole later asked Ngozi to move out as a result, and months later, she carried on to chastise her former partner for her drinking. Now, Casualty 's Nicole actor, Sammy, has opened up on the 'intense' messages she got from fans after the brutal scenes - and the doubts she had about her character behaving how she did. It comes after one huge TV star looks completely unrecognisable as she reveals latest facelift "It was such a rough moment as an actor to get the script where Ngozi told Nicole she was an alcoholic and she said, 'Get out the house and take your kid with you,'" Sammy told InsideSoap. I went to the producers and said, 'I don't think Nicole would do that.' But then they told me about this box set, and with context, you understand where it came from." "I got over 100 messages that night from people saying, 'Why's she done that?' It was really intense, and I just felt awful. That scene was so brutal. But there is a good reason…" Sammy was cast in the hit BBC hospital show in 2024 - although she accidentally revealed her announcement before the show itself... "I put a thing on Instagram. It was literally a picture of my face, and you could just see the green top of my scrubs. It was just a little nod to it," she explained. "And I said, 'I've got really exciting news tomorrow that I've sat on for ages and I can't wait to share it'. And a friend of mine messaged me saying, 'Oh my God, are you a new doctor in Casualty?'" she revealed. The character has been involved in a number of hard-hitting storylines since joining the show, including one in which she became a surrogate mum for her friend, Rosie, who was paralysed after the pair were in a car crash. Her character quickly returned to work after the birth, and later experienced postpartum psychosis. Eventually, her colleagues, including her partner at the time, Ngozi, spotted the signs of PP and knew immediately that Nicole needed urgent help. In her life outside the soap, Sammy was involved in a horrific car crash in 2012, which ripped off one eyelid, broke her thigh bone in two, left her face 'looking like mincemeat', put her in a wheelchair for three months and left her fearing it was the end of her career. Speaking of the incident before joining the show, Sammy told The Mirror: 'Life is so utterly unpredictable. I have come full circle! It felt so bizarre that I had lost my career because of a car accident and then I was being brought in as a character who'd had one. "When they initially told me, 'you've been in a car crash', my instant reaction was, 'how did you know?' But they were talking about my character, Nicole, rather than me!'
