Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper and Beth Cordingly have shed some light on what viewers can expect for Belle Dingle and Ruby Miligan in upcoming scenes.
Belle, as viewers know, was abused by husband Tom King (James Chase) over a year-long period in a harrowing but powerful domestic abuse storyline.
Tom was sentenced to three years in prison, with Belle subsequently filing for divorce as she looked to the future and took over Take A Vow in the wake of Leyla Harding's (Roxy Shahidi) tragic death.
But just what does the future hold for her? That remains to be seen but star Eden teased what viewers can expect in a chat with Metro on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards 2025.
'I went through my new scripts last week,' she said with a smile, hinting of something positive, 'and maybe [something positive], yeah! Maybe .'
Consider us intrigued .
Discussing if Belle is ready for romance after her ordeal, Eden added: 'I think that's a journey she'll have to explore and hopefully the audience can go on that with her and we explore the ups and downs of that.'
Upcoming scenes will see Belle taken aback when Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) suggests going into business with her.
Beth Cordingly, meanwhile, spoke to us about what's in store for Ruby Milligan next week, confirming that she hands herself into the police over Anthony's murder following the discovery of a body.

The soap star also branded the character of Ruby a 'gift of a part'. ' More Trending
When you come in and have that kind of storyline, you come in and everybody hates you, you unravel the layers and show why you're like that.
'I love those characters that are complicated, interesting and difficult and it's been a real privilege doing that storyline.'

Strictly star 'almost turned down' show over terrifying stalking ordeal

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 contestant Chris Robshaw almost didn't sign up to the show after being stalked. Insiders close to the England rugby icon have said he was the subject of a harassment campaign by a woman he met briefly at two separate work events in 2024. According to reports, the abuse began six months after the pair met, and Robshaw, 39, contacted police after she threatened him with violence and spread false allegations about Robshaw and his colleagues. The Sun reports that the woman is being sought by law enforcement after leaving the country. It's claimed by the publication that the BBC is aware of the issues Robshaw and his wife, Camilla Kerslake, and two children have faced and is supporting him. 'Chris almost turned down Strictly because of what this woman has been putting him and his family through,' a source said. 'She's made some disgusting threats. It has been awful for them. 'Chris and Camilla have been told by the police they're not alone. This woman has form for what she's been doing to them and has done it to other people too.' They said that Robshaw decided to appear in the show for his son Wilding, who 'wanted mummy to laugh at his dancing.' The insider alleged that the woman made threats and allegations about Robshaw and his wife, as well as their colleagues, and that she is attempting to 'ruin Chris and Camilla's life.' Speaking to Metro, a representative for Robshaw said: 'This is an ongoing police investigation, and therefore we are unable to comment at this time. 'Chris will not be commenting further.' The source went on to describe the ordeal as 'deeply frightening' and said Robshaw contacted police 'the minute his children were put into danger.' 'This woman posted their address online and made really nasty threats against him and his family,' they continued. 'It's deeply frightening that no one has been able to stop her; she's fled the country and has been clever to avoid arrest. 'They've been advised by their case officer that the minute this woman steps back onto UK soil, she will be arrested.' The Sun reports that the woman was arrested in December and released with a caution. More Trending A source alleged Kerslake had also been targeted by the woman, with it being claimed that she contacted a company the musician was due to work with to make 'false and damaging claims.' They added that ahead of Strictly's upcoming season, Robshaw just 'wants to crack on with the competition and give it his best shot.' He was announced this week as part of the 2025 season alongside the likes of Balvinder Sopal, Dani Dyer, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Vicky Pattison, among others. Jodie Whittaker proves there is life after her Doctor Who train wreck... writes CHRISTOPHER STEVENS

One Night (ITV1) Rating: The flashbacks are a fragmented muddle. The camera slips in and out of focus with laboured artsiness. The plot about an instant bestseller is completely unbelievable. But none of that matters, because One Night sees one of television's most accomplished and powerful actresses back to her best. Jodie Whittaker 's career was dramatically derailed when she became the first female Doctor Who. And 'derailed' is the right word, because her three seasons in the Tardis were an absolute train wreck. Her relentlessly woke Doctor ricocheted through space and time with a fixed smile and a fake cheeriness, like a primary school teacher with ambitions to stand for the Lib Dems at the next local election. Lucky for Jodie that Doctor Who was already a fading institution by the time she arrived. Previous incumbents such as Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy never really recovered from their stint as Time Lords — they were permanently typecast as children's entertainers. Though the series certainly did her no good, One Night is proof that her career has survived. She holds the drama together, as Tess, a recovering alcoholic who returns to the town where she grew up in Australia. For reasons that make little sense, Tess's best friends from her teens are waiting for her, ready to unpack all the trauma she's been trying to forget for the past two decades. The exact nature of the trauma, we don't yet know, what with everybody's flashbacks being so blurred and bitty. But it's all centred on a single night of drunkenness and apparent violence. Yael Stone, best known for Orange Is The New Black, plays mother-of-two Hat, who wants to be everybody's friend but suffers fits of jealous anxiety when her husband talks to the waitress at a coffee shop. For reasons that make little sense, Tess's best friends from her teens are waiting for her, ready to unpack all the trauma she's been trying to forget for the past two decades Yael Stone (pictured), best known for Orange Is The New Black, plays mother-of-two Hat, who wants to be everybody's friend but suffers fits of jealous anxiety when her husband talks to the waitress at a coffee shop Hat is emotionally sound compared to Simone (Nicole da Silva), a hard-drinking writer whose first novel is just about to hit the bookshelves. She's spent five years working on it, while caring for her dad (William Zappa) who has dementia — but it's only now, when she has a publisher, that it occurs to her the book isn't such a good idea. It's all about that traumatic night, the one her friends would rather forget. And she hasn't actually told them she's writing it. In a fit of guilt, Simone tries to cancel the launch. But wouldn't you know it, her agent has only gone and sold it worldwide, after nine publishers fought for the rights. Typical. That's always happening to new novelists. Simone read us the first page. It's full of lines such as, 'The past narrows like a road, winding through acres of darkness,' and, 'That one night remains branded on your brain like fire'. No wonder all those publishers were fighting for it. Never mind, don't care. It's so good to see Jodie Whittaker doing real acting again, the rest is irrelevant.

Winner of the Richard Madeley lookalikey 2026 revealed- can you tell?

Will the real Richard Madeley please stand up? We've seen a hundred Timothee Chalamets in New York, we've had TV bad boy Danny Dyer in Soho Square, now it is the turn of Middle England hearthrob Richard Madeley to have his lookalike competition in the outskirts of Stockport. Hundreds queued around the block to watch the attempted reincarnations of the Good Morning Britain iconoclast compete at the highest level and maybe confuse poor Judy at Alexandra Park in Edgeley on Sunday. It started as a joke when a single poster offering themed prizes for the top three Good Morning Britain impersonators was stuck up in the suburbs of Stockport. But it became reality when locals expressed so much interest the organiser, Mrs Jones' realised she would have to go through with it. One entrant said: 'It was a laugh. The first prize was a giant inflatable champagne bottle, second prize was a selection of Richard & Judy books. But I don't think anyone was in it for the winnings.' After hours of deliberation, the winner was finally declared – congratulations Larry, a pug in an unmistakably wavy Richard wig. Another entrant said on Reddit: 'I didn't even place. ITV Granada interviewed me though and I simply said the pug had more game than me.' They added: 'To all the people saying this should be an annual event, it's happening next summer as well. I believe the names thrown about were Deirdre Barlow or Luke Littler.' The real Richard Madeley reportedly faced the axe from Good Morning as ITV issued sweeping changes to its daytime programming. The 69-year-old host has been a staple of the morning news show since 2017 alongside co-host Susanna Reid and was said to be receiving a lucrative £300k salary for the gig before this 'bloodbath'. On ITV Richard shared a candid insight into his 35-year marriage with fellow TV icon Judy. Recounting moments of strain in his relationship, he said: 'Well, I mean, sometimes, you'd have a row. And you'd get to work not talking. But the show was a cure.' 'I mean, it wasn't, like, false, you actually did genuinely have to come on and do the double act. You would find that within maybe 15, 20 minutes of going on air.' 'You'd just forgotten all about it because you were both focusing on the job. And so it was a very good way of processing a row.'
