To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video
Emmerdale's Eden Taylor-Draper and Beth Cordingly have shed some light on what viewers can expect for Belle Dingle and Ruby Miligan in upcoming scenes.
Belle, as viewers know, was abused by husband Tom King (James Chase) over a year-long period in a harrowing but powerful domestic abuse storyline.
Tom was sentenced to three years in prison, with Belle subsequently filing for divorce as she looked to the future and took over Take A Vow in the wake of Leyla Harding's (Roxy Shahidi) tragic death.
But just what does the future hold for her? That remains to be seen but star Eden teased what viewers can expect in a chat with Metro on the red carpet at the British Soap Awards 2025.
'I went through my new scripts last week,' she said with a smile, hinting of something positive, 'and maybe [something positive], yeah! Maybe .'
Consider us intrigued .
Discussing if Belle is ready for romance after her ordeal, Eden added: 'I think that's a journey she'll have to explore and hopefully the audience can go on that with her and we explore the ups and downs of that.'
Upcoming scenes will see Belle taken aback when Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) suggests going into business with her.
Beth Cordingly, meanwhile, spoke to us about what's in store for Ruby Milligan next week, confirming that she hands herself into the police over Anthony's murder following the discovery of a body.

When you come in and have that kind of storyline, you come in and everybody hates you, you unravel the layers and show why you're like that.
'I love those characters that are complicated, interesting and difficult and it's been a real privilege doing that storyline.'

BBC fans urge people to watch ‘amazing' trans teen drama
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video BBC Three's inspirational new coming-of-age drama, What It Feels Like For A Girl, has seriously impressed viewers. The eight-episode series, set at the turn of the millennium, is based on the acclaimed memoir by author and trans rights campaigner Paris Lees. For those looking for some Y2K nostalgia, this is your easy fix with retro outfits, cultural references and a killer soundtrack to take you right back. Think those hazy Blair-Brown days when shows like Queer As Folk offered snatches of LGBTQ+ visbility for the community and mainstream trans representation was sparse. The synopsis for the East Midlands-based show reads: 'To find yourself, sometimes you need to lose yourself. It's Y2K, and Byron's flirting with discovery and destruction, love and anarchy. ' Played by Ellis Howard, the show follows Byron as they escape into Nottingham's queer underbelly and discover a vibrant found family in friends, Sasha (Hannah Jones) and Lady Die (Laquarn Lewis) aka Fallen Dives in the club scene. The series also stars Calam Lynch, Laura Haddock, Hannah Walters and Michael Socha. It is already being praised by fans on X. 'First 2 episodes boxed off. That was actually very, very good!' Roscoe Barnes wrote. 'I loved the first 2 episodes of the new #LGBTQ series What It Feels Like For A Girl and I can't wait to see how the story develops,' phdev85 shared. 'Only 5 mins into What It Feels Like For A Girl and I feel homesick, it's already bringing back memories as a young Arnold quiche from the early noughties hanging around NG1/AD2 – thank you x' cp83 added. 'The level of talent of Ellis and Jake in this show….wowwwwwww,' yram praised. 'Just started watching today and it's soooo good!!! Jake Dunn you were born to play a villain. The whole cast is amazing too,' dreedreexo said. 'The 'queer as folk' for a new generation,' OliReading dubbed it. The show has also been lauded by critics as a beacon of trans visibility during a time when the marginalised community is under immense scrutiny. 'It's certainly a wild ride- I'll struggle to look at a toilet brush the same way ever again – but if you stay on board until the end, a memorably complex psychological portrait will be your reward,' The Guardian intriguingly teased. The Independent echoed: 'In a world where it is easy to feel pessimistic about the course of progress, What It Feels Like for a Girl presents an engaging – and rational – case for optimism.' 'Make no mistake, What It Feels Like for a Girl is raw and frequently uncomfortable viewing…. Yet the unease is what makes What It Feels Like for a Girl such a visceral, essential watch. We need more TV like it,' PinkNews shared. GQ called it 'gnarly and brutally honest', The Times praised it as 'raw and funny', and the i paper dubbed it an 'absolute riot'. In an interview with Metro, Jones reflected on what it meant to play a trans girl. '[Sasha] was just an unapologetic, gobby trans girl from the north. Fork found in kitchen,' she jokes. 'I had to do this for all the gobby, northern trans girls. She was great to play. More Trending 'Being trans is just a facet of her life; it just so happens that Sasha is trans. Her storyline is not trans trauma, her storyline is not a trans journey… It's her being horrible, being a sex worker, being a sister, being a best friend… 'All of this humanises the trans experience, and we've not had that before, and I think it's really important to do that right now for trans people who are struggling.' Dunn echoed: 'One of the gorgeous things about the show is the specificity of seeing life through Byron's eyes for eight hours, and with that comes really deeply rooted, authored representation of people who exist, who have existed, and who still exist… which I hope provides some solace.' Her shock return left viewers stunned and in tears, with fans branding it the 'TV moment of the year', so her win came as no surprise. Meanwhile, Amelia was overcome with emotion as she was announced as the winner of Best Young Performer for playing April Windsor in Emmerdale. The 16-year-old - who previously won the prize for Best Young Performance for the role in 2015 - couldn't hid her shock as she took to the stage to accept the trophy. The actress beat out Corrie's Will Flanagan, EastEnders star Sonny Kendall and Hollyoaks' Noah Holdsworth for the win. Another standout moment of the ceremony was Sir David Jason taking to the stage to present the coveted Best Soap award. The Only Fools and Horses star, 85, cut a dapper figure in a classic black suit and bow tie as he announced EastEnders as the winner. It capped off a good night for the residents of Walford, with the BBC soap coming out the victor of this year's awards with a whopping eight wins. Following in their wake was Hollyoaks with three gongs, Emmerdale two and Coronation Street only receiving one win on the night. Singer and self-confessed soaps lover Jane, 61, stepped in as a last-minute replacement for Phillip Schofield two years ago after he quit ITV after admitting to an affair with a young male This Morning colleague. Host Jane said: 'I'm beyond excited to be hosting The British Soap Awards again as I had such a ball hosting the awards last time. 'You all know I love my soaps, so to be in a room giving recognition to all these wonderful actors and their fantastic hard work is simply joyous. I can't wait to get my glittery frock on and celebrate with everyone.' Meanwhile, Gemma John-Lewis, Entertainment Commissioner ITV said: 'The British Soaps Awards are an opportunity to celebrate and shine a light on the incredible actors and production teams that deliver gripping drama and captivating stories throughout the year. Coronation Street star rules out reunion for much-loved couple
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Coronation Street fans got their hopes up last week when two former lovers sat together in the Rovers. After watching the scenes, fans took to social media to point out how Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) seemed to be getting on well, and wondered if a reunion may be on the cards. Viewers will recall that Asha and Nina dated for quite some time, but they ultimately went their separate ways when Nina kissed Asha's brother, Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain). Unfortunately for speculating fans, this betrayal is something that actress Tanisha Gorey suspects Asha would be unable to come back from, as she explained when I caught up with her at the British Soap Awards. 'I love Mollie and I love Asha and Nina. I think their differences are what bring them together and I think they're amazing together. I love them. 'However, the pathetic kiss that Nina and Aadi shared, I just think Asha couldn't come back from that, purely based on you've not only cheated but you've cheated with her brother. Her twin brother! I'm like, no. It's a big no go. That's it – done, blocked.' She went on to explain that she'd like to see them as friends, but she doesn't think they'd work as a couple given their history. In terms of another romance, Tanisha admitted that she isn't sure what the future holds for Asha. 'I don't know where Asha's love life is leading right now. She's a career woman and she's saving lives. Maybe not on screen but she's saving lives in the background and she's trying her best.' Earlier in our chat, we joked about how Asha was often on the scene when major characters met their maker, having failed to save both Mason Radcliffe and Craig Tinker this year alone. More Trending This has gained her an hilarious nickname, she revealed, as we tried to work out if Asha had actually managed to save anyone on-screen yet!
