Olly Murs 'deeply sorry' to cancel UK gigs this weekend after vocal injury
Olly Murs has cancelled gigs in Manchester and Birmingham this weekend on doctors orders.
The 41-year-old former X Factor star was devastated last night when he had to cut his show in Glasgow, Scotland short after just 20 minutes in afte his voice gave out.
Now, he has confirmed the 15 Years of Hits tour won't go continue this weekend as he has to 'put his health first'.
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, he wrote: 'To everyone in Manchester and Birmingham I'm deeply sorry but I am unfortunately going to have to cancel my shows there this weekend.
'I have contracted a respiratory infection and have been instructed to go on a strict 48 hour voice rest by the doctor to ensure no further damage to my vocal chords.
'I've been having the best time on this tour and I'm so sorry to let my fans down, I'm hoping to be fighting fit in a few days to finish this amazing 15 year celebratory tour with a bang.

Olly also took the time to apologise again to his fans in Glasgow after being forced to leave the stage.
'Never expected to be writing this today 😞,' he began his post. 'To everyone in Glasgow last night, I want to start by saying sorry. What happened last night has never happened to me before and I'm truly gutted and upset about it.

'In 15years I've never had to leave the stage after 30minutes into a show, but my voice was failing me. I was panicking and worrying on what to do which gave me no choice but to address it.
'The thought of upsetting people and letting you the fans down has hit me hard today. Speaking in front of you last night and seeing people upset was hard to see but from the bottom of my heart I'm sorry but I had to put my health first x'

Fans who will be missing out in Birmingham and Manchester this week will be automatically given refunds.
Olly explained in his Instagram statement: 'All fans will be refunded directly from their point of purchase. This will happen automatically over the next week. X'
So the best plan is to sit tight, and get in touch with the site you used to buy your tickets if that's not sorted by the end of next week.
For anyone who was at the Glasgow show that got cut short, Olly has already suggested a rescheduled show is on the cards.
He said: 'We'll sort out refunds for anyone that's unhappy, but Glasgow, I will be back to see you guys soon. I'm so sorry. I'll see you soon. I love you all.'

Jessie J says her ‘hair has been falling out like crazy' after cancer surgery
In a recent Instagram post, the Price Tag singer said: 'My hair has been falling out like crazy since the surgery. 'Five weeks today, since my surgery, and I'm feeling ok… my boobs still aren't even, this is the implant still so sore, and then this is my old, oh, you're not old.' She continued: 'Now I'm just trying to figure out what the next kind of six months is going to look like. 'I know that it has to change, and I can't do anything that I was supposed to be doing, but I just want to be able to like, make it work best I can for everybody, me, Sky (her daughter), my fans, but in the right order. 'It's so hard, like you're always going to leave some people disappointed, my perspective on everything has changed so much.' The London-born star also revealed she had a new song 'coming out soon' but said she would 'not be able to do as much promo for it' due to her recovery following the operation, adding that she 'can't have it sitting in my phone for another year'. It comes after she said her latest visit to hospital was a 'reminder to myself to slow down' even though she felt she was already at a slow pace. In an earlier Instagram post, Cornish said: 'This isn't a speedy recovery and it isn't meant to be. 'As an ADHD Aries, fire breathing dragon t-rex, I can do it myself, I'm always ok woman. That slow pace has been a hard reality to accept to be honest. 'I love moving and working and being up and active but I can't be right now, and that's what it is, and I am finding the strength knowing that all can be adjusted to align with a slower pace and the support of my very small inner support circle.' Cornish welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, having had a miscarriage in November 2021. She has battled with ill-health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. The singer-songwriter has had three number one songs in the UK singles chart with Domino, Price Tag and Bang Bang. She was awarded four Mobo awards in 2011 including best UK act, best newcomer, best song for Do It Like A Dude and best album with Who You Are, and won the Brit Award for rising star in 2011.
