Danny Dyer and Vicky McClure lead the way as Oasis reunite after 16 years
A string of famous faces are in the crowds as Oasis reunites after 16 years. Tonight's gig in Cardiff marks over a decade since Noel and Liam Gallagher performed with one another.
The band were seen walking to the stage with their song 'F**king in the Bushes' before they then started performing their song 'Hello'. The crowd welcomed them with cheers at the sold out gig.
In the audience was the likes of EastEnders star Danny Dyer as well as Line Of Duty actress Vicky McClure. Vernon Kay also posed for pictures outside Principality Stadium.
"Hey, beautiful people, it's been too long," Liam told the crowd, which has also included the likes of Glastonbury founder Emily Eavis as well as Dominic Mohan and Andy Goldstein.

Meg Mathews - Noel's ex-wife - was also spotted at the gig, The Mirror can exclusively reveal. Noel and Meg's daughter Anais was also seen at the venue. Earlier today, Meg shared a string of snaps of her and Noel, writing alongside it: "TODAY IS THE DAY 4th July 2025 Finally here ….OASIS REUNION TOUR, Britpop was a British music and cultural movement that peaked in the mid-1990s, characterized by a revival of British guitar pop from the 1960s and 1970s, in contrast to American grunge.
"It was not just a genre, but a reactionary and patriotic cultural response, celebrating British identity, working-class roots, and everyday life. To everyone who's there when they walk on the stage at 8.15pm will be a piece of history."
Referencing the photo, she added: "That night was a lot of fun can't remember what after party gig it was .. back then there was always one which I was in charge of organising through @creationrecords money and fun had no limit back then."
Meg had recently been forced to deny they were back together after she posted snaps of them kissing. During a 2020 interview with the Irish Mirror, Meg admitted she used to get terrible PTSD. She said: "I came through the marriage. Everything was public. At the end of the day I did not have the cog or the PR world that that person (Noel) had.
"I was just the ex-wife. I had nobody. I didn't know what to do. I didn't have a press agent, wasn't famous, I just had a daughter. I used to get terrible PTSD. In 1997 I was the third most written about woman. It was Lady Diana, The Spice Girls and me."
For those fans hoping to get a last minute ticket to Oasis' reunion gigs, the band are set to release a few final tickets. In a statement, they said: "As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned. These final production releases will happen over the coming days."

I watched Oasis reunion show in Cardiff - one moment gave away Noel Gallagher's true feelings
I watched Oasis reunion show in Cardiff - one moment gave away Noel Gallagher's true feelings One reviewer in the crowd has described the moment Noel Gallagher's 'mask slipped' as she watched him reunite with brother Liam - having apparently reconciled their tempestuous relationship for the Oasis Live 25 tour Noel Gallagher 'finally broke' during one moment on stage in Cardiff with Oasis (Image:) It was the moment Oasis fans thought they'd never see as Noel and Liam Gallagher strode onto stage hand in hand in Cardiff. Their first Principality Stadium show was a reunion 16 years in the making after the brothers' famously rocky relationship broke up the band in 2009. Those in the crowd could be forgiven for wondering whether the rift was truly repaired at first. After putting on a united front for their entrance, the pair "barely glanced at each other on stage" throughout their opening night set, one reviewer observed. Follow our Oasis night two live blog for updates from inside the Principality Stadium tonight. Writing for The Mirror, Deputy Head of Showbiz Lucy Needham described how "the only time they interacted at all during the two hour set" on Friday July 4 was when they sang together on second song Acquiesce. She wrote: "Fans hoping for banter between the tempestuous Manc brothers might have been disappointed. Noel in particular maintained his signature stoic look on stage, focusing on his guitar and the crowd in front. That was until one moment in the second half gave away how he was really feeling to be back with Liam." From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What's On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here . It was Noel who quit the band in 2009, saying he "simply could not go on a day longer" working with his younger brother after one backstage brawl too many. While Liam has made no secret of his wish to reconcile and reunite, Noel has previously shot down any suggestion they could ever share a stage again. Liam and Noel Gallagher put on a united front as they make their first Oasis reunion show entrance in Cardiff Article continues below Cynics may well claim they're only in it for the money. "Was it worth the £4,000 you paid for a ticket?" Liam asked the crowd at one point, in a dig at the dynamic pricing controversy when tickets went on sale. But there was "one giveaway" that showed it meant so much more to the pair - and Noel in particular, Lucy observed. "It was during Half the World Away that Noel finally cracked himself," she wrote. "Watching the euphoric reaction as the lyrics to his 1998 track were roared back at him, a misty-eyed Noel finally broke and stopped singing as he stepped back from the microphone and took in the emotion of the occasion. "As a close-up of his face was beamed across the big stage, fans were stunned to see the famously grumpy brains behind Oasis even appear to have tears in eyes for a brief moment. It was the one giveaway that confirmed Noel was truly glad to be back. "While Liam has been tweeting daily since the news of the comeback was confirmed last August, little has been heard from Noel. But last night fans got a chance to see for themselves just how much it really means." Oasis play a second night in Cardiff tonight and will then visit Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September. The group will then head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America. Article continues below

Sonay Kartal relaxed in the spotlight as she prepares for Wimbledon's last 16
All eyes are on Kartal as the only British woman to reach the fourth round after Emma Raducanu's brave defeat by top seed Aryna Sabalenka on Friday night. Should she beat Russian veteran Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on Centre Court on Sunday, the 23-year-old will become the first British woman to reach the last eight since Johanna Konta in 2019. Kartal was back on court on Saturday, playing doubles with her close friend and fellow Briton Jodie Burrage. 'She's definitely got more cameras on her now. I have noticed that,' said Burrage. 'That's expected, you know. 'It was nice to play a doubles match with that atmosphere. It was packed on that court. Unfortunately we couldn't get them going a little bit more because we lost. 'But it was fun. She is taking it like a champion. She loves the limelight.' Kartal rolls her eyes, not for the first time, as her pal gently teases her. But the Brighton pro's run in SW19 has captured the public's imagination, as she found out on Friday evening after her third-round win over Diane Parry. 'I went to the shops and it was a bit tricky,' she said. 'That's something I will have to get used to for the next few weeks. Sonay Kartal you are sensational 👊#BackTheBrits 🇬🇧 | #Wimbledon — LTA (@the_LTA) July 4, 2025 'Listen, people think I don't like it as my whole life I have gone under the radar a bit, but I don't have an issue with being in the spotlight or not. 'If the spotlight is on you it means you are doing good things. I am taking it as a compliment.' It is not just Kartal's tennis that is the hot topic in south-west London, but also her tattoos. She got her 14th after winning her first match at the French Open last month and is now taking suggestions for ink number 15. 'I've had a few – Jodie's idea of having Centre Court was terrible,' she laughed. 'I won't get that. Someone said I should get the vintage polo top that I've been wearing, I don't know if it is possible. Maybe a fire and ice tattoo. I like that – but it would remind me of Jodie!' Kartal found out she will be making her debut on Centre Court on Sunday just before she played her doubles match, and she has no intention of it being her last time this fortnight. 'It's a huge honour to play on that court. A court that you dream of,' she said. 'The way I am looking at it is that it's a slightly bigger Court One. Warming up on Court One a couple of days ago will help me. I will feel much better walking out on Centre. 'I know I am far from finished yet. I have done one week – got another week to go to the finish line. 'There have been some crazy results. I have been given a good spot in the draw, things have opened up. I am excited and will enjoy every second.'

Noel Gallagher's daughter gives verdict on Oasis gig after mum walks out mid-set
Noel and Liam Gallagher returned to stage for the first time in 16 years and Noel's daughter Anais Gallagher had five words for her father's performance Noel Gallagher's daughter, Anais, summed up her dad's legendary Oasis reunion concert in just five words. The show, which brought the house down in Cardiff last night, marked the first time in 16 years that Noel and his younger brother Liam shared the stage in the Welsh capital and their devoted fans, lucky enough to get tickets, were not disappointed. Among them was proud daughter Anais. The 25-year-old attended the gig, posting a photo of herself wearing an Oasis shirt and holding a pint while watching her dad and uncle perform on stage. She captioned the picture with a simple review of the unforgettable evening: "It's good to be back." Fans were quick to respond to her post, with many agreeing. With one reply writing: "It was amazing, epic, hope you enjoyed it" while another simply stating: "EPIC!" Anais' mum Meg Matthews - who was married to Noel from 1997 to 2001 - was also in the audience, the Mirror reports. However, she was seen leaving the reunion concert before the band performed Wonderwall. The song might be a tough one for Meg, as Noel once said she was the inspiration behind it. A number of well-known celebrities were spotted in the crowd during Oasis's long awaited comeback tour, a reunion many fans have hoped for over the past decade. The band were seen walking onto the stage with their song 'F**king in the Bushes' before they then started playing 'Hello'. The sold-out crowd greeted them with cheers as they kicked off a global tour for the Gallagher brothers. In the crowd were the likes of EastEnders star Danny Dyer and Line of Duty actress Vicky McClure. Vernon Kay was also spotted taking photos outside the Principality Stadium. "Hey, beautiful people, it's been too long," Liam greeted the enthusiastic audience, which also featured Glastonbury founder Emily Eavis. Liam thanked the 70,000 fans who attended the first reunion gig in Cardiff for 'putting up with them over the years'. The singer and his brother Noel had been locked in a bitter feud for 16 years, leading many fans to lose hope that Oasis would ever reunite for another tour. However, they shocked the world last year when they announced they would be embarking on an epic reunion tour. Cardiff was blessed with the first gig on Friday night, with Noel and Liam holding hands and raising them to the sky as they walked onto the stage. Hits like Champagne Supernova, Supersonic and Slide Away were performed, with Noel pausing for a few bars during Half The World Away to take in the incredible atmosphere before him. After Oasis left the stage at the end of the set, the crowd stomped and cheered, demanding an encore. The band returned to perform The Masterplan, Don't Look Back In Anger, and Wonderwall before Liam expressed his gratitude to the fans. Clearly energised from the last two and half hours on stage, he shouted: "Thank you, beautiful people. This is it. Nice one for putting up with us over the years. We are hard work, we get it."
