A "radical" new series breaks Channel 4 record as 'biggest ever launch on streaming' for new E4 original
Described as "a radical dating experiment", the reality series follows a cast of hopeful singles on a quest to find true love. However, while in the sunny and romantic paradise of Truetopia, contestants must follow one rule: Do not lie.
Following its premiere on 28 April, The Honesty Box has become Channel 4's biggest ever launch on streaming for a brand new E4 original commission.
It has surpassed Married at First Sight UK as the biggest streaming launch of a new E4 series since 2021.
Meanwhile, the show's success extends beyond streaming, as its launch on linear TV resulted in E4's most watched debut since 2022. Over 530,000 viewers tuned in to catch the drama in the first seven days.

The Honesty Box is hosted by Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison and MAFS Australia star Lucinda Light as they guide the contestants through the unique dating experience.
While the singletons explore various romances, they are tested by a state-of-the-art lie detection system, known as the Honesty Box, which uses probing questions to uncover their true feelings.

Lucinda plays the role of Sincerity Coach, encouraging the daters to "discover and share their inner truth". Meanwhile, Vicky takes over the Truth Terrace to reveal the results of the Honesty Box.
Each lie reduces money in the group's £100,000 Trust Fund. But with relationships on the line, the truth has the potential to cause even more damage.
As of yesterday, the series has pulled in over 1.9 million views, with fans eager to follow the dramatic experiment.
The Honesty Box airs Monday to Wednesday at 9pm on E4 and is available to stream on Channel 4.

Celebs Go Dating 2025's full line-up from Kerry Katona to Mark Labbett
Who is going to take part in Celebs Go Dating in 2025? Celebs Go Dating signed up six brave famous faces to put their hearts on their sleeves for the 14th series — but Christine McGuinness quit days into filming. Looking for love on reality TV is never easy but Atomic Kitten's Kerry Katona, The Chase's Mark Labbett, S Club 7's Jon Lee, Love Island All Stars' Olivia Hawkins and Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell have joined the agency for 2025. For the first week, the stars will be whisked away to Ibiza. Dating agents — Dr Tara, Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson — set up dates for the celebrities and offer them valuable dating tips as well as therapy, in a bid to help the stars find long-lasting love whether that's on the E4 dating show or afterwards. Last year, Celebs Go Dating invited Helen Flanagan, Ella Morgan, Stephen Webb and more stars to join the agency — although later it turned out Flanagan had a secret boyfriend who joined her on the dating show. What do we know about the stars taking part in the 2025 series? Christine McGuinness quits McGuinness made history on TV earlier this year as the first woman to win Celebrity Hunted but her journey on Celebs Go Dating was short lived. The mum-of-three decided to quit Celebs Go Dating just days into the show. While filming in Ibiza, she wrote on Instagram stories: "I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. They've said the door is always open which I'm grateful but for now I'm returning home to my family." Her personal life has been undergoing big changes as she divorced presenter Paddy McGuinness last year. They split in 2022 after more than a decade of marriage and now they co-parent their twins Leo and Penelope as well as their youngest Felicity. Of dating, she had said: "I'm really excited to be joining the agency, I'm going to have a summer of fun! Who knows what might happen? I've not really dated much before, so I feel like I'm doing a crash course! "I'm looking forward to getting to know the other celebs and I'm especially looking forward to the coaching side of things with the agents. I think that's going to be good for me." Kerry Katona It has been six years since Katona first starred on Celebs Go Dating in 2019. Now she's back and ready to find love again after she split up with her ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney last year. On her return to the agency, she said: "I'm so excited to be back at the agency. At the moment, I am just learning who I am. I always seem to change my whole persona for whoever I am with for their needs instead of prioritising my own. I can't wait to see Anna and Paul again and get to meet Dr Tara, and see what they have in store for me." Katona juggles her showbiz career with being a mum to her five children. She shares her eldest daughters Lilly and Molly with her ex-husband Brian McFadden who she was married to for four years between 2002 and 2006. The TV star brings up her middle two children Heidi and Max with her ex-husband Mark Croft, whom she split with in 2010. She raises her youngest child DJ on her own as her late ex-husband George Kay died of a drug overdose in 2019 — two years after they had split up. Olivia Hawkins Liv Hawkins hasn't given up on finding romance on TV after two stints on Love Island. The TV star was back on our screens for Love Island All Stars in January 2025 after initially starring on the winter series of the show in 2023. While she was coupled up with Blazin' Squad star Marcel Somerville for most of the Love Island All Stars series, their relationship fizzled out not long after leaving the villa. A hopeless romantic, Hawkins now has joined Celebs Go Dating. She said: "I'm excited to be joining the agency. I've been a fan of the show for a long time. It will be nice for the public to see a more vulnerable, open side to me." Mark Labbett Understandably Labbett has said he's feeling "nervous" about Celebs Go Dating as he has never looked for love on TV before. The 59-year-old star is best known as The Beast on the ITV quiz show, The Chase. He said: "I'm a bit nervous about doing this because it is outside my comfort zone but, at the same time, it's an opportunity to do something I wouldn't normally do and let's face it, it's a chance to meet and date interesting women, what more could I want?" His most recent relationship was with TV presenter Hayley Palmer but the exes split in May last year, days before their one-year anniversary. Labbett shares a son with his ex Katie whom he was married to for seven years. Katie is his second cousin and she is 27 years his junior. The couple married in 2014 but they split in 2020. Jon Lee S Club 7 Star Lee has also signed up to the Celebs Go Dating agency. The singer, 43, is best known as the youngest member of band S Club which split in April 2003 and later reunited a decade later. Of dating, he said: "I'm absolutely rubbish at dating. My dating life is very bleak. So, I'm happy to put my trust into the agent's professional hands. Fingers crossed we have a good time!" It's not his first time looking for a romance on TV as he starred on Dinner Date in 2018 where he had a blind date. Louis Russell Reality star Russell found fame on Too Hot To Handle, which is a Netflix dating show that bans any form of intimacy. Now the TV personality will be looking for love again, this time with the help of the dating experts. He said: "I'm really excited to join the agency — it feels like a fresh start for me in dating. I'm ready to move away from hookups and focus on finding a real partner." Celebs Go Dating starts on E4 at 9pm on 11 August.

How Clean Is Your House? presenter Kim Woodburn dies
Kim Woodburn - a former cleaner who found fame presenting the hit TV show How Clean Is Your House? - has died. Woodburn, who was 86, later became a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, finishing as runner-up. Her manager said in a statement: "It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. "Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. "Her husband, Peter, is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. "We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. "We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. "We will not be releasing any further details." On Tuesday, her husband shared a video montage of photos of Woodburn over the years, starting when she was just four years old, with the message: "My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love, xx xx" Known for her trademark tight, plaited bun, Kim was largely blind in her right eye, and had poor sight in her left eye, and earlier this year had told her followers she was undergoing emergency eye surgery. Woodburn, who had been selling video greetings to fans, shared her last Instagram post in February, when she posted a message saying "Kim is unable to record any further videos for the foreseeable future due to a health problem". She wrote: "No more videos for now, my loves, I need to get better!" Woodburn, born Patricia Mary in Hampshire, left a turbulent home life aged 16, moving to Liverpool to become a live-in cleaner. She revealed in her 2006 autobiography that, at the age of 23, she prematurely gave birth to a stillborn son and buried him in a park. The revelation in her book led to a police inquiry, but no action was taken by officers. In the same year as the stillbirth, she changed her name to Kim - after American actress Kim Novak. Years later, she was scouted by a TV company looking for a cleaner with an engaging personality to front How Clean is Your House? Paired with Scottish cleaner Aggie MacKenzie, the two professional cleaners fronted the show - a ratings hit and a pioneer for the home cleaning genre - from 2003 to 2009. Woodburn went on to appear in Celebrity Big Brother, I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of here! and E4's Celebrity Cooking School, as well as regularly contributing to ITV's This Morning and Loose Women. She also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Celebrity Come Dine With Me and A Place In The Sun.
