The first trailer for "Peacemaker" Season 2 is here and it kicks off with a big surprise. It opens with Leota (Danielle Brooks) driving Peacemaker (John Cena) to an interview, but not just any interview. When Peacemaker arrives he appears to be interviewing for a spot on the actual Justice League. You can watch the trailer and see how the interview turns out below.

The interview scene includes Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord. None of them seem particularly impressed with Peacemaker, who overhears them insulting him along with just outright ignoring him.

"Peacemaker" creator and showrunner James Gunn has said that this season will be much more about the interaction between the characters and the trailer seems to bear that out. Leota seems to be having problems with her wife while we see Emilia (Jennifer Holland) dealing with some rage issues including getting into what appears to be a pretty involved bar fight.
It also becomes clear that Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) will be one of the season's antagonists. Peacemaker kills his son, Rick Flag Jr. (Joel Kinnaman) in 2021's "The Suicide Squad", and the elder Flag seems to be looking for some payback.
Flag has taken the reins of A.R.G.U.S. over from Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Waller was supposed to get her own series that was going to be released before "Peacemaker" Season 2 that would presumably explain Waller's ousting, but the series hit some creative roadblocks.
The trailer also gives us a chance to see Tim Meadows in his role as A.R.G.U.S. agent Langston Fleury, and we also get a very brief look at Michael Rooker playing what appears to be some kind of mystical character.
Just as the trailer opens with a surprise, it ends with one. We see Peacemaker walk through a door and is confronted by a completely different Peacemaker, though also played by John Cena. It may be too soon to tell, but on the face of things it looks like Marvel isn't the only studio playing around with the multiverse.
"Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam plays in the background and since we know there will be a new song and dance number for the intro of Season 2, it's tempting to speculate that this could be the new starting tune.
"Peacemaker" Season 2 premieres on Max on August 21.

WWE Money In The Bank 2025: Matches, Start Time, Stream
Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman WWE Money in the Bank 2025 boasts a succinct, four-match card during an otherwise loaded weekend for TKO. Money in the Bank comes after WWE's Worlds Collide event in partnership with newly acquired promotion Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Both shows will be held in Inglewood with Worlds Collide just down the street at the Kia Forum earlier in the day at noon PST. Both Money in the Bank matches feature mostly up-and-coming talent compared to the star-studded Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber during WrestleMania 41 season. It's fitting of WWE's transitional period between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, as the promotion continues to settle into new storylines headed into the second half of the year. Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria have gone back-and-forth on the mic since Lynch's heel turn on the Raw After WrestleMania. Similar to her husband Seth Rollins, Lynch has been mostly cheered despite being a heel. Unlike Rollins, Becky is unnatural in her role as a villain, and it often seems forced. Both Lynch and Lyra have battled 'what' chants during their promos. Lynch is 0-2 against Valkyria in title matches. Given the last-chance stipulation, expect Becky Lynch to prevail as a strong favorite, thereby becoming the second-ever women's Intercontinental champion. John Cena's heel turn has received mixed results. After teasing a Money in the Bank win during the premiere of Raw on Netflix, that ended up being unnecessary after Cena cheated his way to a record-breaking 17th world championship win at WrestleMania 41. Cena now finds himself in an exhibition match, alongside Logan Paul, against Cody Rhodes and WWE world heavyweight champion Jey Uso. After losing the WWE Championship due to 'doing the right thing,' and hesitating to strike John Cena with the WWE Championship belt, Cody Rhodes vowed he would not hesitate next time. This could be the night where Cody Rhodes cheats to defeat John Cena, but that would seem premature. Instead, I think WWE uses this match to further its long-term story of Jey Uso stretching himself too thin while helping his friends like Rhodes and Sami Zayn. WWE wants Jey to be as big of an underdog as possible headed into his WWE World Championship match against Gunther on next week's June 9 Raw from Phoenix. Losing at Money in the Bank would do just that. More times than not, WWE goes with a surprise for the Money in the Bank winner. CM Punk in 2009, Jack Swagger in 2010, John Cena in 2012, Nikki A.S.H. in 2021 and Liv Morgan in 2022 are among the large handful of surprise winners. In 2019, Brock Lesnar won the Money in the Bank briefcase when he wasn't even in the match. Seth Rollins is by far the biggest favorite to win the men's Money in the Bank match as a top heel flanked by two monsters in Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The unnamed stable is almost guaranteed to interfere, which bodes well for Seth Rollins. Having said that, CM Punk has vowed to never let Rollins win a world title, and could even the odds by interfering himself. This opens the door for yet another Money in the Bank upset, and if that is the case (pun intended), the most satisfying winner would be El Grande Americano. The Women's Money in the Bank match feels wide open. Though Naomi is the favorite, I could see anybody winning this match. Naomi has been great with her 'proceed with caution" gimmick. After spending her entire career as a babyface, she's been perfect as a heel since Day 1. The triangle between Naomi, Bianca and Jade Cargill will get very interesting with a Money in the Bank briefcase involved. Over on Raw, the Judgment Day's impending breakup sets up for a second Judgment Day member to win the briefcase after Damian Priest won in 2023. Roxanne Perez is a very serious darkhorse to win the Money in the Bank briefcase with Liv Morgan destined for a world title match against Iyo Sky. If there wasn't already tension between the two, Morgan winning the women's world title and having to look over her shoulder for Perez—whom she already doesn't trust—makes for compelling television.

Hysterics at How Dachshund Reacts to Being Told 'No'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A Florida-based dachshund has gained viral attention on Instagram for his over-the-top response to a simple word: "No." In a lighthearted video shared to the platform on May 4 under @moo_in_miami, the small dog named Moo was captured sitting on a couch, repeatedly whining and growling in a high-pitched, almost comical, tone after being told "no" by his unseen owner. The video, captioned "he really said, 'that's cute, try again,'" quickly ignited reactions online from pet owners who could relate to the bout of canine pushback, and has since been liked more than 1 million times. An overlaid text on the video read: "POV: [Point of view] You told your dachshund no." The dog's animated expressions and indignant vocalizations have struck a chord with viewers on Instagram, many of whom said they were left in hysterics by Moo's dramatic protest. Moo's particular reaction also highlights something deeper—and familiar—for anyone who has spent time with a dachshund: stubbornness seems to be part of the lovable breed's DNA. Bred in Germany centuries ago to hunt badgers, dachshunds were designed to be persistent and fearless. Their long bodies and short legs made them ideal for burrowing, but their real strength lies in their temperament. Dachshunds are notoriously determined and vocal, often pushing boundaries and asserting their will in surprisingly bold ways for their size. Moo's hilarious response to being told off is a textbook example of this temperament. While some dog breeds are known for obedience or calm demeanor, dachshunds have cultivated a reputation for being assertive, sometimes to the point of comedy. Owners often describe them as possessing the mindset of a much larger animal, unafraid to stand their ground—especially when they feel slighted. Commenters have shared their own dachshund tales, with one writing: "Dachshunds and the word NO do not compute." "I'm getting dachshund in 8 weeks can't wait," another viewer said, while another added: "Dachshunds will argue with you with such stubbornness until you give in because there's nothing is as stubborn in this world as a dachshund who wants something." "They run the house you know," another said. Newsweek reached out to @moo_in_miami for more information via Instagram. A stock image of a black and tan dachshund on a carpet. According to Fandango, the film has officially become the top first-day ticket pre-seller of 2025 beating out every other release this year in just 24 hours. This comes as no surprise if you've been following the movie, which introduces Marvel's First Family to the MCU with a fresh 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic twist and a high-stakes showdown against Galactus and the Silver Surfer. Pedro Pascal leads as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, alongside Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm). Fandango executive Jerramy Hainline said in a statement: ' The Fantastic Four: First Steps marks an exciting new chapter for one of Marvel's most iconic teams. Early ticket sales show fans are eager to see these characters reimagined for a new generation.' Fandango also noted the movie was voted the #2 most anticipated film of the summer in their 2025 Moviegoing Trends & Insight Study, which surveyed over 5,000 fans. 'Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.' Directed by WandaVision 's Matt Shakman, the movie also features Julia Garner as a 'Shalla-Bal version' of the Silver Surfer, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, and mystery roles for John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne. With its bold visual style, stacked cast, and the promise of a proper introduction to the Fantastic Four in the MCU, The Fantastic Four: First Steps might be Marvel's next big leap.
