After a legal battle and a series of delays, actor-politician Suresh Gopi's latest film Janaki V v/s State of Kerala finally hit the big screens on July 17. The Malayalam courtroom drama was denied certification by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to the movie's title. After discussions, the makers opted for a modification by adding the word 'V" to its title, following which it received a UA certificate with a 16+ age recommendation. Janaki V v/s State of Kerala, also starring Anupama Parameswaran, tells the tale of a woman's legal struggle for justice after an assault.
