Robin Frijns tied the knot with his girlfriend Maike Katarina in Switzerland on July 4. The Envision Racing driver announced the news on Instagram, sharing pictures from their Christian wedding ceremony.
However, he chose not to reveal clear images of their faces as bride and groom. Several fellow Formula E drivers congratulated him on social media.

Announcing his marriage on Friday, Robin Frijns shared a joint Instagram post, originally posted by his wife Maike Katarina, with the caption: 'Mr & Mrs Frijns #4thofJuly2025,' along with a red heart emoji.
The first photo showed the couple walking away from the camera. Frijns wore a blue suit with white shoes, while Katarina was dressed in a short white dress, holding a bouquet in her hand.
The second photo was a close-up of the couple exchanging rings while embracing.
Many of Frijns' Formula E friends and fans flooded the comments section with congratulations. Andretti driver Nico Mueller, who knows Katarina, commented with a heart and clapping emoji, which Katarina acknowledged with a heart emoji. NEOM McLaren's Sam Bird showered the post with several heart emojis, while Envision Racing's official handle commented, 'Congratulations both!' Mahindra Racing's Nyck de Vries also liked the post.
One fan commented: 'HUGE CONGRATULATIONS! Over the moon for you two… hope you had sensible socks on for this day @robinfrijns1.'
Who is Maike Katarina?
Maike Katarina began her career in marketing. According to brodbiography.com, she worked in team management at ABT Sportsline GmbH and later at SSR Performance GmbH. She then joined AUDI AG as a marketing specialist. In 2021, she and Robin Frijns co-founded a car customization company called Frijns Unlimited BV, where she serves as CEO.

Robin Frijns' Formula E season
This season hasn't been particularly successful for Robin Frijns. His best results were eighth-place finishes in Miami, Monaco, and Shanghai. He is currently ranked 20th in the 2025 Formula E Driver Standings with 17 points. Frijns will next compete in the upcoming Berlin double-header from July 11–13.
