Education Scam Alleged: BGR School Selling CBSE Books Without Approval
On Tuesday, BRSV State Leader and District Coordinator Kurva Pallaiah, along with former BRSV Town President Kurva Veeresh and others, lodged a complaint with the Mandal MEO (Mandal Education Officer) at the MRC building in Ieeja. They demanded strict action against the management of private schools that are violating education laws.
The complainants alleged that:
BGR school management has not cleared the State Eligibility Test and lacks qualified CTET-certified teachers, yet claims to teach the central syllabus.
Without CBSE recognition or a State NOC, the school is selling CBSE textbooks at high prices and falsely promoting itself as a CBSE-affiliated institution.
The school does not have digital blackboards in classrooms as mandated, but continues to collect hefty fees by exploiting parents in the name of education.
They further pointed out irregularities in other private schools:
Navabharat High School is being run without a proper playground, fire safety measures, or adequate building permissions.
Tagore High School lacks fire safety clearance and hostel permissions but continues operations.
In some cases, a school building has been rented out for running a B.Ed college, which is a clear violation of education rules.
Hostels are also being run without authorization, and many schools do not even have proper parking space for school buses.
Kurva Pallaiah stated, 'Running schools in the name of CBSE without proper approval is dangerous for children's future. Parents are being deceived, and students are at risk. Authorities must take strict action and cancel the permissions of such schools.'
The leaders demanded an immediate inquiry into these schools and the cancellation of permissions for institutions violating CBSE affiliation norms and state education regulations.

A Class 9 student opened fire on his teacher inside a private school in Uttarakhand's Kashipur, leaving him critically injured. Police said the boy had smuggled the gun inside his lunch incident took place on Wednesday morning at Shri Gurunanak Senior Secondary School on Kundeshwari Road. In protest, the Udham Singh Nagar Independent School Association announced that all CBSE and recognised private schools in the district will remain closed on Thursday. Expedite public works & address complaints: Ludhiana Improvement Trust chief to staff.
Ludhiana: Chairman of Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) Tarsem Bhinder has held a meeting with officials concerned of the trust and asked them to expedite public-related works to reduce public grievance redressal time. Recently, in a meeting with cabinet minister Sanjeev Arora, a discussion took place about the works of LIT. Arora mentioned that he had received many complaints from the public that the trust's registry, transfer, ownership entry, NOC and NDC works were pending for a long time and the public was facing harassment. He asked the LIT chairman to pay attention to the public issues. Following this, Bhinder strictly instructed all staff members to ensure that public works were completed within the stipulated time without unnecessary delay, as per the Right to Service Act, so that the trust did not have to face any kind of litigation. Along with this, Bhinder also strictly instructed the technical branch to take action regarding illegal encroachments and constructions taking place in various development schemes of the trust. Apart from this, Bhinder claimed that for the convenience of the general public, he was available for public works at all times. However, if any person still faces any problem in getting their work done at the LIT office, they could directly submit their written application to the undersigned, and the undersigned will ensure that the work of the public is completed within the stipulated time as per the rules/instructions.
