"The second option is that the Bill can be sent back to the Assembly for reconsideration with certain suggestions, or without suggestions. Once passed by the Assembly, the Bill comes back to the Governor, and he has to give assent to the Bill. The third option is to refer it to the President of India," Bose told reporters at the Raj Bhavan here.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had "flagged multiple provisions in the Bill as problematic", the source had said.
"After taking note of the MHA observation, the Governor has referred those for appropriate consideration to the state government," the source added.

Central govt. has released over ₹8,000 cr. for Chennai Metro Rail's phase II project
The Centre has released more than ₹8,000 crore for the construction of the Chennai Metro Rail's upcoming phase II project. This year, the Centre has so far allocated ₹3,000 crore for the project. Thambidurai in the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Sahu said, 'The Central government has approved Chennai Metro Rail's phase-II project as 50:50 Joint Venture Project, for 118.9 km at a cost of ₹63,246.4 crore in October 2024. Two arrested for bid to assault ex-min Swami Prasad Maurya
Lucknow: Rae Bareli police on Wednesday arrested two youths for attempting to assault former Uttar Pradesh minister Swami Prasad Maurya during his visit to the city. The incident occurred around 11:30 am when Maurya, en route to Fatehpur from Lucknow, halted at Gol Chauraha to meet his supporters. As he stepped out of his vehicle, two men, identified as Rohit Dwivedi, son of Amresh Kumar, a resident of Kaurapur Gaura under Ramganj police station limits, and Shivam Yadav, son of Krishan Kumar of Aati village under Deeh police station, allegedly tried to confront him.
