Oasis fans flock to Edinburgh ahead of three sold-out shows in capital
Supersonic Oasis fans are gearing up for the three highly anticipated shows at Murrayfield as the first is set to begin later on today.
The Mancunian rockers will return to Scotland for the first time in 16 years for three sold-out shows – held on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday.
While their exact set-list has not been revealed as yet, on previous dates the band has performed classics such as Wonderwall, which propelled the rockers into stardom, as well as Morning Glory, Talk Tonight, D'you Know What I Mean? and Don't Look Back in Anger.
ScotRail has announced a number of extra services operating to and from Edinburgh to cater for the vast number of fans travelling to the concert.
The railway operator also says it is increasing capacity on its services, ensuring no-one is stuck for transportation before and after the show.
In a short message posted on X ahead of the concert, the band, led by Gallagher brothers Liam and Noel, said: 'Edinburgh. Are you ready?'
The post gained more than 10,000 likes and legions of fans responded in turn, stating they cannot wait to see them perform at the stadium.
The band has recently performed in a number of cities including Cardiff and London.
The group will next head to Ireland, before moving on to Canada, the US, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and South America.

British actor looks unrecognisable as he watches Oasis at Wembley with musician Tom Grennan - but can you guess who it is?
He was just 13 years old when he rose to fame on This Is England. The British actor secured the role after he was spotted at a youth club by This is England director Shane Meadows, and he went on to nab a British Independent film award for best newcomer. Most recently, he made his move into Hollywood as he appeared in Mickey 17 alongside Robert Pattinson. But the star looked unrecognisable earlier this month as he headed to watch Oasis at Wembley. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a picture of himself with musician Tom Grennan ahead of the show. He looked a far cry from his gritty on-screen days as a youngster in Sheffield - but do you know who it is? It's none other than Thomas Turgoose, who starred as Shaun Fields in the 2006 film before reprising the role in TV series This Is England '86 (2010), This Is England '88 (2011) and This Is England '90 (2015). In This Is England, Thomas's character joins a skinhead gang - first led by Woody and then Combo - after losing his father in the Falklands War and getting bullied at school and gets roped into attending National Front meetings. Actor Thomas, now 33, was faced with tragedy during his time on This Is England as his mother Sharon died from cancer not long after they wrapped filming. This meant that she never saw him in the movie. Thomas recently revealed how co-star Stephen Graham had promised his mother Sharon that he would take care of him and offered to adopt him. Thomas told Jamie Laing on the Private Parts podcast: 'My mum passed away from lung cancer after I finished filming This Is England. 'She never got to see the finished film.' Thomas was sent to live with his father Rob after his mother died but the pair did not know each other well at the time. This lead to Stephen and director Shane Meadows offering to take him in. Thomas said: 'When my mum died I moved in with my dad and I didn't know him, so Shane Meadows and Steven Graham were going to adopt me if things didn't work out with my dad.' Since his days on This Is England, Thomas has gone on to secure small film roles, including in 2017's Kingsman: The Golden Circle and 2019's Avengement. He also had a minor role in Game of Thrones as a Lannister soldier and featured in 2021 sci-fi series Intergalactic. Thomas, from Grimsby, also starred in 2023's action thriller Jackdaw alongside the likes of Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Most recently Thomas appeared in Mickey 17 and last year featured in sports TV documentary All Town Aren't We as himself. In 2019, Thomas tied the knot with Charlotte Revell in a New Years Eve ceremony, and the couple keep their romance relatively private. His This Is England co-stars including his on-screen mother Jo Hartley, Vicky, Stephen, Andrew Shim (Milky) and Andrew Ellis (Gadget) all attended the ceremony.

Halle Berry's ex slammed after accusing star of 'not cooking and cleaning'
Halle Berry's ex has been skewered by fans (Image: Getty Images for Joylux & Playgr) Halle Berry's ex has been skewered by fans after lifting the lid on his relationship with the Oscar winner. David Justice was married to the Monsters Ball star for four years from 1993 to 1997. Details were scarce regarding the couple's divorce, but now David has come out swinging, claiming he left the A-lister because she didn't cook, clean - or seem "motherly". Speaking on the All the Smoke podcast with co-host Matt Barnes, David reflected on his high-profile relationship with the Catwoman star. It comes as actress, Sophie Turner, clapped back at a fan, who accused her of abandoning her kids while partying at an Oasis concert. And at that time, as a young guy, she don't cook, don't clean, don't really seem, like, motherly." He added that eventually he "realised this isn't the person I wanted to spend my life with", but claimed the he later understood that the marriage could have been saved if he "knew about therapy". He concluded: "It's just that I, because I was young, had only been in honestly one real relationship before her. My knowledge and my understanding and my wisdom around relationships just wasn't vast. David also admitted that he deeply hurt Halle by jumping ship rather than 'massaging' it or seeking 'therapy' in an attempt to mend their relationship. The couple may still be together if they'd had therapy, according to David However, following his comments, many fans slammed the MLB star, with one taking to X, fuming: "Motherly? She was his partner, not his mom." Another said: "Imagine expecting Halle Berry, the first Black actress to earn $20m for a movie, the #1 most desirable woman in the world for decades, the first Black woman to win an Oscar, to stay home to cook and clean. Men and audacity." Meanwhile, a third raged: "David really expected THEE Halle Berry in her prime to be a stay at home housewife. Talk about an all-time fumble for Mr. Justice." In the podcast, David also said that he was upset with his ex-wife for not clarifying that he was not the ex she said that had once physically abused her. In 1996, Halle told People that she had an abusive, unnamed ex, who once struck her in the head and ended up puncturing her eardrum, causing her to suffer from hearing loss. "She let the world think it was me," David claimed, adding: "I thought she was dead wrong for that." The Mirror has contacted Halle's rep for comment on this story.
