Peter Facinelli Reveals What He Whispered in Robert Pattinson's Ear When Carlisle Bites Edward in 'Twilight': 'He Smiled'
Peter Facinelli is spilling a Twilight secret!
Much of the cast of the vampire franchise reunited at MegaCon on Friday, Feb. 7, in Orlando, more than a decade after the premiere of the final film in the four-part saga, 2012's Breaking Dawn — Part 2. The first film came out in 2008.
Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) and Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) shared set memories and ruminated on the series' impact years later.
One hilarious moment on set? What Facinelli, 51, whispered in Robert Pattinson's ear in the scene in which Carlisle bites Pattinson's Edward, turning him into a vampire.
"I leaned in the first time, on the first take, and said, 'I'm sorry.' 'Cause I felt like Carlisle didn't really ask for permission — you should always ask for permission," he began.
"But on the second take, I leaned in and said, 'Rob, you're so handsome,' " Facinelli continued. "And then he smiled a little bit. And that's the take that's in the movie."

While Pattinson, 38, wasn't at MegaCon, his castmates reflected fondly on working with him, and even joked that he was the most likely of the cast to get lost on set.
"I could have a tattoo saying 'I'm lost' and Rob would still be more likely to get lost," joked Rathbone, 38.
And despite their own star status, Rathbone still admitted that he gets starstruck at times — like when he came in contact with another MegaCon attendee.
"I used to have a stutter. I met Ron Howard, and I had a stutter again," he told the crowd.

Members of the Twilight cast — which was led by Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black — have reunited multiple times over the years, and still speak now and then about their time on the vampire-romance film franchise.
The Cullens also appeared at Epic Con Chicago in 2024, where they took a nostalgic group photo.
Speaking out the franchise's lasting legacy and popularity resurgence, Lutz, 39, said at MegaCon that he is touched by how much Twilight still means to people, including fans who name their kids after the characters.
"I just met an Emmett, which was great. I have a little Emmett buddy," he raved. "It's pretty cool what these movies have done for all of us collectively, to grow together."

Josie Totah slams 'demonic' first date idea no one should ever suggest
Josie Totah is dishing on her dating don'ts — and her love of Robert Pattinson — in an all-too-relatable YouTube video. The Other People star recently chatted with Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Willa Bennet as part of their Blind Date YouTube series. The idea is that Bennet has to guess which celebrity she's speaking to, after which they play out a first date chock full of getting-to-know-you questions. This particular segment partially turned into a series of revelations about what not to do on a date with Totah. Don't whip out your phone to make a big deal of Instagramming dinner, don't obsess over astrology, and definitely don't ask her to go hiking. "You know what I think is demonic?" she asked. "It's always straight people who are like, let's hike. I'm like, do you want me dead in a ditch? Asking me to Runyon Canyon on a first date? You might as well have slipped me arsenic and said my goodnight prayers." Totah and Bennet also had the opportunity to discuss their shared love of Twilight (the "gayest film of all time" according to Totah), which turned into some adorable fangirling over Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse's relationship. "Beautiful people should be together," Totah declared. "I think in a world with so much hate, we should prioritize hot people interacting with other hot people." Billy Joel's first wife walked out on him in hospital bed after motorcycle crash that nearly killed him
Billy Joel is reliving some of the most painful moments in his life. In the upcoming documentary, "Billy Joel: And So It Goes," the "Piano Man" crooner, 76, recalled the moment his first wife, Elizabeth Weber, walked away from their marriage shortly after his near-fatal motorcycle crash. "I always romanticized motorcycles. There's something about it. I feel like I can be completely disconnected from the world. There's a sense of freedom about that," Joel said in the doc, per People. Billy Joel Cancels All Concerts Due To Brain Disorder Diagnosis Joel said his admiration for motorcycles left Weber "scared all the time." "I on many occasions said to him, you know, 'You can't do this, this is dangerous,'" she said. Read On The Fox News App "Elizabeth had warned me, she said, 'Be careful, be careful, 'cause you're going to have an accident,'" the musician recalled. In 1982, Joel suffered multiple injuries after his bike crashed into a vehicle mid-intersection. "I was amazed I was still alive. I should have died in that accident," he said. "And I laid there in shock for a couple of minutes and I went to the hospital." The accident left him with a broken arm, leg and wrist. While he recovered in the hospital, Weber opted out of the marriage. "I would've stayed, I would've been able — like so many women before me — to make that accommodation for someone you love ,but there was no way that I could stand by and watch him kill himself," said Weber, who recalled placing the house key onto a tray in his hospital room. "I just didn't have that in me. And I felt very strongly that that's what was going." When Weber left the hospital, she recalled telling Joel, "You know, someday they may write about us and I hope that they say that we really did something." According to her, Joel responded with, "I hope they could say we went all the way." She added, "And that was it. That really was the final. That was it." The couple were married from 1973 until 1982. "After 'Glass Houses' came out I was always on the road, working, working, I look back on that guy and I don't even know who he was, he had to be so ambitious to work that hard and work that much," Joel said in the documentary. "So, it must have not been easy to be married to me at the time." "I wasn't asking him to change, but I just did not want to live like that. My response to it was to get a place in New York City where you can enjoy anonymity — so it wasn't so much as we separated, but we started to get a little bit isolated from one another and I also knew that he wasn't in a good place. We were all under a lot of stress," Weber said. "All of us dealt with our stresses in different ways. And so there was a lot, a lot of alcohol use and eventually a lot of drug use." When the musician was in his early 20s, Joel was part of a band called Attila with his best friend, Jon Small, who was married to Weber at the time. He ended up moving in with Small, Weber, and their son, according to People. "Bill and I spent a lot of time together," Weber confessed in the documentary, per People. She added that their friendship was gradual and a "slow build." Joel eventually told his best friend, "I'm in love with your wife." "I felt very, very guilty about it. They had a child. I felt like a homewrecker," Joel admitted in the documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday. "I was just in love with a woman, and I got punched in the nose, which I deserved. Jon was very upset. I was very upset." Billy Joel Opens Up About Affair That Led To Two Suicide Attempts The betrayal not only ended Joel and Small's friendship at the time but also dissolved their band, Attila. Consumed by guilt and depression, Joel's personal and professional life unraveled, as he began to spiral. Click Here To Sign Up For The Entertainment Newsletter "I had no place to live. I was sleeping in laundromats, and I was depressed, I think to the point of almost being psychotic," Joel said in the documentary. So, I figured, 'That's it. I don't want to live anymore.' I was just in a lot of pain and it was sort of like why hang out? Tomorrow is going to be just like today is, and today sucks. So, I just thought I'd end it all." Joel's sister shared in the film that she was working as a medical assistant and gave him sleeping pills to help with the restless nights. "I went to go see him in the hospital, and he was laying there white as a sheet. I thought that I'd killed him." While Joel acknowledged that he had been "very selfish" during the tumultuous time, he recalled his first thought when he woke up from his coma was that he wanted to attempt suicide again. During Joel's second attempt at suicide, he ingested "lemon Pledge," a furniture polish. Miraculously, he survived both attempts, after Small rushed him to the hospital. "Even though our friendship was blowing up, Jon saved my life," Joel explained in the documentary. Fox News Digital's Stephanie Giang-Paunon contributed to this post. 'Tension' Rises Between Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Amid Latest Backlash
and are reportedly hitting a few sour notes in their relationship. A new source claims that Katy Perry has been feeling the pressure following the release of her latest album "143," which dropped in September, and it is causing some "tension" with Orlando Bloom. The insider spoke with PEOPLE Magazine, claiming, 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album,' they shared. 'It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' The album, a high-energy, love-fueled dance-pop collection, was designed to be a celebration. 'My vision was to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message,' Perry explained in a statement at the time, referring to the retro pager code meaning 'I love you.' But not everyone was feeling the love. A second source added, 'She was also disappointed in some of the tour reviews. It's put stress on their relationship.' Despite the criticism, Perry has powered through with a sold-out tour that's been met with enthusiastic fans overseas. After selling out three nights in Mexico, prompting the addition of an extra show, the singer is now performing to packed venues in Australia. The "Lifetimes" tour hits the U.S. beginning July 10 in Denver. As for the negative chatter? Perry isn't letting it define her. Back in February, she spoke candidly to PEOPLE about tuning out the noise. 'You shouldn't read it when it's good. You shouldn't read it when it's bad,' she said. 'My therapist said something that really changed my life. What anybody thinks about you is none of your business. It's what you think about yourself.' She also revealed that "143" was born out of 'a real shift' in her life after becoming a mom to daughter Daisy Dove, whom she welcomed with Bloom in August 2020. 'I really tapped into that feminine divine energy. The messages on it are celebratory. They're about love.' Perry and Bloom have been together for nearly a decade and got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. While the couple has weathered ups and downs over the years, Perry recently showed she's still fiercely protective of her man. During her May 17 show at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the 'Teenage Dream' singer jokingly called out a fan in the audience for sliding into Bloom's DMs. 'Cute grin. I know why you're here,' she teased from the stage before launching into her song 'I'm his, he's mine.' 'Listen, if you keep DM'ing my man... Oh, Kyle? I know, I know. You've been doing it for months, ever since the residency,' she continued. 'If you keep on DM'ing my man, I'm going to have you removed. Seriously, get your own life.' When the fan tried to hand her something, Perry wasn't having it. 'I don't want it. I'm his. I said I'm his. Stay the f-ck away.' Bloom got candid about his relationship with Perry during a 2019 appearance on the "Today" show, emphasizing the importance of being on the same page before walking down the aisle again. 'It's important to me that we are aligned. I've been married and divorced, and I don't want to do it again,' Bloom shared at the time. 'And we're both fully aware of that. She's remarkable and so I'm always so impressed with that and I'm encouraged.' Three years after Orlando Bloom popped the question, Katy Perry opened up about their postponed wedding during an appearance on "The Kyle and Jackie O Show," explaining that the COVID-19 pandemic had put their wedding plans on hold. 'It's a destination location that like, you know, we're still trying for it to work out, but every couple of months it's like, 'New variant! New variant! New variant!'' she said. Last year, Perry opened up about attending couples therapy with Bloom and how it's helped strengthen their bond. Speaking on Chelsea Handler's "Dear Chelsea" podcast, the singer explained that therapy has played a key role in keeping their relationship grounded. 'We love it because it keeps us in tune,' she said. 'The resentment can get really strong when you're both working hard, and so when you want to come back to being normal in a domesticated world where you have a child and stuff like that, you have to really learn how to be kind of different out there in the big and in the small.'
